Alessandro POV “Sandro, we found this on one of the murdered men,” Salvatore said, handing Alessandro a napkin. He took one look at it and crumbled it in his hand. He just knew it. Alessandro and Salvatore had gone down to some of the crime scenes, where the bodies of his men had been discovered. The blood still fresh, the scenes barely touched. Before the cops could get to the bodies, they’d already made sure to slip a trusted contact from the morgue into the mix. A quick phone call had ensured they’d have control of the narrative. No police report, no questions asked. As Alessandro stared at the napkin, his pulse quickened. He could tell by the markings—a clear family crest—that this wasn’t just some random hit.
