Lucio decided not to leave his family until he was sure that everything was okay. He stood by their side and never let them lose his sight.
"Kids, don't go too far!" he shouted when he noticed that the kids were running away, going out of the backyard.
"Lucky!!! Did you hear that, aren't you? We should not go far away. Come on now!" Fortune told his brother.
Fortune was a good follower among the three, while Lucky was the most naughty and bubbly, and Charm was just going with the flow.
"Yeah, I know, but I wanted to go there very quickly!" he shouted.
"Dad will get mad at us." Fortune wanted to go back to where they came from.
Luck and Charm were approaching the denser part of the farm. It has so many trees and possibly wild animals.
"I want to take a look if we can find some spiders. I have seen some on TV and they are playing with them like a toy," Lucky said.
"No, I want to go home now!" Fortune cried.
"Pathetic! Why did you come with us anyway? You should have stayed," Lucky accuses Fortune, who is now about to cry.
"Because I don't want you to be in danger. Come on! I promised Mom and Dad that I would be a good kid, but I can't just leave you here," Fortune insists.
"Tsk tsk, you better go away. If I couldn't find any spiders, it is your fault." Lucky yelled at his brother.
"Please brother, let us go home!" he continues to plead.
Lucky pushed his brother away and Fortune went out of balance. He shouted fearfully when he saw some blood. It was coming from his elbow when he fell.
"Blood! I have gotten blood, oh my God!" he cried.
"I have told you already to go home. You are not listening!" Lucky was blaming Fortune.
Lucio was in the kitchen preparing their snacks. It is nine in the morning, and it is getting hotter outside. He can't seem to see the triplets. He had seen them running away, and he thought they had listened to what he said.
"Where did those kids go to?" he whispered while looking around.
There is no trace of them. It looks like they have left, even though they have been told not to.
He started to check around and walk towards the open area going to the wild field.
"Lucky?" he called.
"Fortune?" he continued calling.
"Charm? Kids! Where are you?" he called nonstop, but he had not heard anything but the birds singing.
He took the path to the wild forest, hoping to find them early. It is more dangerous if it is already dark. He stopped for a while to have a break. He was exhausted and his sweat was all over his shirt. He feels relaxed when he closes his eyes to breathe. All he could hear was the silent noise of nature and the fresh air that touched his skin. He almost forgot that he was looking for his children, and Aria doesn't know where they are. He stands up when he hears the crying sound coming from the north. He begins to walk in that direction and lets the sound be his guide. He did not make any noise to avoid distracting himself.
He recognized that voice; it was Fortune who was crying. He sounded like he was in pain. He immediately ran as fast as he could, and just a few meters away from him, he saw Fortune sitting below the tall tree. He has some blood scattered on his clothes.
"Fortune! What happened to you?" he asks.
"I fell. Daddy, I'm sorry!" he responds apologetically.
"For what, honey? Don't worry, Dad isn't mad. Good thing you are okay. Where are the rest of you guys?" he replied, trying to be calm, though he was not happy with what he had found.
"I think I have lost them. I have begged to go home but Lucky wouldn't want to listen and he is with Charm. Let us go find them Daddy!" he reported.
"Yes, we will find them. What are you doing in this place? You did not think you were putting yourself in danger," Lucio said.
Lucio understood what his son was trying to say. "I know this could kill us all, but I don't want to go home alone without my brothers. Lucky is hunting for spiders as he has seen on TV," he explained, and Lucio understood.
"Okay, I got you. Now, we must find them before dark." Lucio gives Fortune a heads up.
"I think they go this way," Fortune said.
"Let us go then. Let me carry you, so we will be quick," says Lucio.
They followed the footprints that the two boys left. From nearby, they can hear them talking.
"Can you please walk slowly? You might distract the spiders. I almost caught this one," Lucky said, whispering.
"Please hurry! For sure, Mom and Dad are now worrying so much about us," Charm insisted.
"Ssssshhhh!" was Lucky's response.
"Did I not tell you to stop and go back home? Why are you here?" Lucio scolded Lucky, who is now excited about catching the spiders.
"Dad?" he answered, looking scared since Lucio has never been angry with them, yet this may be the first time.
"Go home and I'll deal with you all later!" he added.
Lucky was so agitated that he was not able to catch any spiders. He looked so dirty, yet he enjoyed their hunting. It took them almost an hour to try to find their way home. They are so happy when they see their backyard.
"Thank God, you are all here! Where have you been? Look at all of you!" Aria said, very concerned about them.
"Let's treat his wound first," Lucio told Aria, and he took the first aid kit to clean Fortune's elbow.
Lucio explains everything that happened. Aria couldn't help herself but be mad. She kept herself calm until she finished cleaning and treating Fortune. The other two boys are also done changing clothes.
"Go to the terrace and we will talk!" Aria said.
The triplets followed her. They go and find their seats while the parents are standing in front of them. Looking at their gestures, they looked very mad.
Their faces are red, and they can hardly breathe.
"Have you realized what you have done?" Aria asked, looking straight into their eyes.
The triplets are not answering and their heads are low. They were looking down at the floor and were afraid to meet their parents' gaze.
"Lucky, why did you not listen to your father? All of you! You have been advised not to go anywhere because it is dangerous out there," Aria blurted out in a rage.
"Sorry!" the boys said in chorus.
"Don't you know how worried I was when Fortune was brought to the hospital? I cannot take it when anyone of you is harmed or worse, taken away from me," Aria said while crying.
Lucio has let her speak up.
"I have been telling you multiple times to listen and behave because I cannot afford to lose any of you. Why can't you understand?" she continued.
They just listened and did not utter a word.
Lucio's message to their children: "I don't want this to happen again. I have never been mad in my entire life, and do not force me to be angry because I do not know if I can recognize myself when that happened. Promise us that you will never do that again!"
"Understood, Daddy, Mommy!" they said, nervously.
"Good! Now, Lucky, you apologize to Fortune for hurting him. Never hurt anyone, especially in this family, did you get it?" Aria said to Lucky, whose face was pitiful.
"Okay Mom, I am sorry for giving you such a headache," Lucky said, crying, feeling guilty about what he had done.
"Say sorry to your brother, not to me," Aria told Lucky, who looked ashamed.
"I'm sorry, Fortune! I should have listened to you," Lucky blurted out and hugged his younger brother.
"It's alright. I am just so scared and I also don't know what to do." Fortune answered.
Lucky comes close to his brother to hug him.
"Mom and Dad are now happy to see you all okay. Let us all have our late lunch together. I cooked my special recipe for you," Aria said, and was excited to present her menu.
She seldom cooks, and that only happened without the Moreaus'. They do not want her to meddle with the helper's job.
Lucio's thoughtful message: "I am so proud of you and I am so eager to try your newfound love."
Mayi has set up the table for all of them. Together with the nannies, they eat altogether.
"This food tastes so good. It's perfectly cooked!" Lucio exclaimed.
She said, "Don't say that! I know it is an attempt to flatter me."
"You better ask them then," Lucio challenged Aria.
"How does the food taste?" Aria asks.
"Great!" everyone said in chorus.
Aria felt worthy that she was able to serve her family good food. It was the freedom and happiness she ever wanted. That's the positive side of living away from the comfort of the estate.
