Chapter 26 The signs

Three days have passed since everything was back to normal. The kids were introduced to homeschooling by their private tutor. They wanted to train them at an early age. They were given different activities for a maximum of two hours per day and were to end by ten in the morning.
"Honey, please behave during your class. Listen to Teacher Fe and do what you are told to do," Aria instructed the boys.
"What if she tells us to do bad things? Are we supposed to do them too?" Lucky asked his mother.
"Honey, the teacher will not ask you to do such things. She will teach you whatever is necessary and best for you." Aria told the boys, and immediately they were in their seats.
She closes the door and lets the teacher do her work. She decided to go to the garden to check on her plants. Planting and gardening became one of her hobbies when at home. It is her escape from the real world. The past years have been blissful, and their relationship with her father-in-law is getting stronger. But when it comes to their employees, he is straight and everyone is afraid of him. People around him were required to do a lot of hard work to please him. He can terminate anyone who is found to have violated his rules. The only person that Aria had become wary of was Keila. That is why she was a bit more surprised that she talked to and checked on her when they arrived from their trip.
"How were the triplets?" Her father-in-law was standing at her back while she was doing some cultivation of her planted crops in the garden.
"They are so excited to learn. I hope they will be good students for Teacher Fe," she said, smiling.
"I remember when Lucio was about their age, also smart and competitive. He was always like that, even until now." The Head Master said he is very proud of his son.
"Also a very handsome man," Aria added.
"Of course, that's already given," Alexander said in agreement.
"Head Master, I need a minute with you please!" Keila butted in from somewhere.
"I have to go, Aria. Don't get yourself too tired," was Alexander's friendly reminder.
"No worries, Dad, I can handle this," Aria replied, continuing what she was doing.
Keila looked back and gave Aria a clever smile before she disappeared with the headmaster, which made the latter feel conscious. Aria has no exact idea what the two are up to, and she could care less about that. What's important is that her family with Lucio is doing just fine. She freely stares into her small garden full of sunflowers, a variety of roses, and other ornamental plants. She also propagates some grapevines from seeds.
"You are all amazing! I can't believe I have done this," she uttered as she wandered her eyes over the beautiful yard.
She checks the time and it is almost noon. The good thing about her yard was that it was surrounded by tall trees, and she put on some black nets to protect her plants from too much rain and sun rays. She can work at any time of the day because of its very nice location. She places her gardening tools in her small storage container in the garden. She needs to hurry because in a few minutes the triplets will be out of their class. She passes through the mirror-like door, and she sees something strange about it. It is black and moves fast. She comes near to it and sees what's going on. She couldn't believe what she had seen. Termites were running around the corner of that door.
"Oh my God! How come there are black termites here? And they are bigger than usual," Aria said to herself.
She was about to call on Selda to help her determine what it was, but to her surprise, Keila was already by her side.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, with suspicion in her eyes.
"I was going to my room when I observed this black moth. It got my curiosity, so I tried to check it out. How is it possible that we have this dangerous pest inside the house?" she explained.
"Move!" Keila told her and pushed her slowly to see them for herself.
She wasn't saying anything at all, but instead, she looked at them vividly.
"I will ask the maintenance to take care of this. Stay away from this place if you don't want to be harmed," she warned her.
"Alright. Thanks. I have to go now!" Aria replied, walking her way up to their room.
She took a shower and got ready to check on her triplets after school. She slowly walks down the stairs while her eyes are more aware of every detail she might notice. She did not see any signs of termites in the same location.
"Good. They were able to get rid of them. That was quick," she murmured.
"Have you seen any trace of them?" Keila came out of nowhere.
She was shocked by what she had just done.
"Oh my God! Where did you come from?" Aria shouted, holding her breath.
"Are you okay? I am asking you if you have seen the termites again," Keila repeated her query.
"No, they are gone. Please don't do that again. It scared me," she answered nervously.
"Sorry!" Keila said mischievously, then walked away.
Aria is on her way to the study room. She was about to open the door when Lucky came out of it. Lucky was the naughty one among the triplets, while Fortune was the sweetest and Charm the silliest. What's identical about them is that they are all witty and charming.
"I got it first. I was the winner!" Lucky claimed while his right hand was in the air.
"No, I did it," Fortune yelled.
"It was me who made it to the top!" Charm exclaimed.
They all wanted to be the winners.
"What was this all about?" Aria asked the boys.
"Hi, Madam! They did great and no one wanted to be at the bottom," the teacher, who is fond of them, said while laughing.
"That's nice that they have learned something today. Thank you, Teacher Fe. See you again at our next session!" Aria's reaction.
She was very grateful on her sons' first day of school.
"You are very much welcome! See you tomorrow at the same time!" Teacher Fe said, bidding goodbye to her students.
"Congratulations kids! The teachers said you have done well today. What do you want later?" she announced the good news she received from the teacher.
"I want an ice cream!" Lucky said in his reply.
"Me too!" Charm added.
"I want it with cookies and cream!" Fortune continued.
"Alright, let mommy take care of it. Just behave and the nannies will take it from here. See you at the poolside," Aria said.
The boys ran to the poolside with their babysitters while Aria prepared their request. She learned that Keila and the Head Master were having a business meeting. She decided to bring their lunch to the pool. After a while, she is holding a tray of ice cream buckets for the kids who are playing beside the pool.
"Kids, here is your favorite. But, have your lunch first. Please get one accordingly," she announced as she handed them their scoops of ice cream to their respective containers.
"Mom, thank you!" Fortune said and kissed Aria on her cheeks.
The rest of the triplets did the same.
"By the way, who did the best today and who gave a headache to Teacher Fe earlier?" Aria asks.
"It's Lucky Mom! Teacher Fe had a hard time with him. He was playing most of the time," Charm told Aria.
"I played because I was done with my assignment. It is not my fault that you are late to submit," Lucky reasoned out.
"Alright, you don't have to argue. Okay? It is fine to play as long as you do not disturb anyone, but it is better to wait for everyone to finish and ask the teacher if she will allow it before you play," Aria told the kids.
"We got it, Mom!" Lucky answered.
"How about Fortune? How was school?" she asked her second born.
"Good. I did it on time. No need to rush," he replied with confidence.
"Great job everyone!" Aria congratulated the triplets for a job well done on their studies.
They were having their ice cream dessert when someone was nagging for help. Aria secured the kids and went near the incident.
"What's going on?" she asked.
Selda grabs her hands, trying to protect her.
"What's happening, Selda?" she scolded her for stopping her.
"Madam, let the right people do their job. Let me do mine by making sure you are safe," Selda said and asked her to listen up.
She learned that the black termites had come from an unknown source. They needed to investigate further and inform the master about what happened. It needs to be treated right away.
