On his forty-seventh birthday, he decided to take his whole family on vacation. It was his special day, but he was the one to give them presents. The day before his birthdate, he advised the pilot to bring his family to Manila because he wanted to be with them on that day. Alexander has joined the team, but Keila has chosen to be their house caretaker.
"I thought we were going to celebrate your birthday together." Aria was intrigued by Lucio's sudden change of plans.
"Yes, we will be together on my birthday; however, I won't be able to go home yet," he explained.
"You have made a promise and now you are telling me that?" Aria complained.
"Hey, sweetie! Let me finish first, okay? Just get ready because the pilot will come to get you there. No more questions and just do it as I say," he told her.
Aria did follow his instructions together with the kids and Alexander. In a few hours, they landed in Manila.
"Ready?" he asked.
"For what?" Aria replied in confusion.
Lucio held her hand and led the way to a boarding plane waiting for them to check-in.
"Where are we going?" Aria's eyes grew bigger when she read what was on the plane ticket.
She laughed at it and hit him on his shoulders with her bare hands. The triplets are with their nannies, so they will have plenty of time to be together as a couple.
"Ouch! It is my birthday tomorrow and you wanted me to celebrate it in the hospital bed, don't you?" Lucio joked at his wife.
She was really surprised and did not know about his plans to take a vacation abroad for his birthday. Even his father-in-law was not saying anything about it. They took the long flight to France this time. They have been traveling, but this one is different because of the most special occasion. However, they have never been to Brazil, where the Moreau originated. Aria did not have a chance to ask this.
"When can we have a vacation in Brazil?" she recalled asking about her stupid idea.
"We are not going there!" Alexander answered.
"Why not, Dad? It is where you came from. Don't you miss your country?" Aria was intrigued by his response.
"As I have said, we will never go back there. I have forgotten everything about that place and I chose to stay away," Alexander said.
His reaction was a surprise to Aria. She did not anticipate that he would react negatively to her question.
"Do not insist, okay?" Lucio added.
She agreed and promised not to ask further about Brazil. Even Lucio was not aware of what exactly happened to his father during his younger years in Brazil. That has been something on his mind since he was just a kid.
After a long trip, they arrive in France. They checked in to the most expensive hotel. They will be exploring the country for a week.
"It's a long dream vacation!" she uttered while lying on a soft bed.
Lucio would lie down beside her and start to give her small kisses. They missed each other and wanted to have more time to be together. This place was so perfect for a romantic event.
"It's been a long time!" she whispered.
"Right. The first time we get here, we are newlyweds. Now when we get back here, we have three smart and healthy kids," Lucio answered.
They spend their time together intimately. It is a long night to enjoy the moment.
Early that morning, they woke up for their first-day tour.
"Happy birthday, my love!" Aria wished her husband a short and simple message.
They kissed.
"Daddy!" The kids are cheering outside the door.
"What's up, kids?" he shouted back at them and stood up.
He opened the door and the kids sang a happy birthday song. They are holding a mini cake that they have requested from the hotel.
"Thank you, everyone! Especially to these naughty little ones. I love you so much!" Lucio said happily.
The kids give him hugs and kisses.
"Let's get ready for our tour, and we will meet you in the waiting area downstairs," Aria instructed the nannies.
Alexander came closer to whispering his simple greetings and handed him a black stone.
"What's this?" he asked.
"That's my gift. Just keep it because you will be needing it," Alexander told him.
He kept it in his pouch before getting himself ready.
It was just their first day, and everything was going well. They enjoyed their stay and were never disappointed during the tour.
Their entire trip has ended, and the kids have been so happy the whole time they were in France. They will be home soon, and the experience will always be in their memory.
Lucio joined them on their flight to Siquijor and is planning to stay for two days before going back to work.
"How's your trip?" Keila asked.
She looks happy and excited.
"You should have come with us. You must have enjoyed the whole trip," Lucio answered.
"I'm good. I'm most needed here. I am happy that you took your family for a quick vacation," she replied.
She was a different Keila before they left. The Keila is mysterious and introverted. She welcomed them home, something she never did in the past years.
"Hey, is there a problem?" Keila asked when she remarked that Aria looked bothered and wondering.
"Yeah, I am well. I am just tired from that very long trip. I must take some rest," she said, and called for the boys to come with her.
Lucky's special request: "Mom, I don't want to take the stairs. Let us use the elevator instead."
"Honey, mommy can't take it there. Let's play while we take the stairs," she replied, trying to convince the boys to agree.
"Let's go, come chase me!" Charm yelled and started running up to the next floor.
"Honey, please be careful!" she shouted angrily.
She ordered the nannies to come after with the boys as she slowly took a walk. The trauma from the elevator has become her biggest nightmare, and she would rather endure the tiring walks than be trapped again in the elevator box. They are not aware that something is waiting for them, and that makes up for Keila's change of behavior.
