Chapter- 19

19. "You inspire me to love you more."

It was Friday night, Nidhi was packing her small backpack for the trip. A water bottle, a hoodie, and some snacks added to that she took some money to buy something for her mom, dad, and Roshini.

After putting her phone on charge Nidhi read the message that Varun sent this evening.

The text said that he will wait for her at the end of their street at 8.00 am in the morning. 

He doesn't know how excited Nidhi was to think that they are going to be together for a whole day. That made her so happy at the same time she is praying to not get caught.

She laid on her bed and looked at the side of Window, Varun's house was visible from there. She felt so anxious to imagine living with Varun in their future. Oh god, she rolled on the bed and blushed to remind the kiss he gave her on the other day.

Looking at the ceiling and breathing unevenly Nidhi placed her hand on her chest to feel her throbbing heart.

Whether he feels the same as me? She thought and crazily smiled again thinking about him.

He is kind of an irresistible force that entirely turned her to think only about him, like a magic. She knew him for only ten months but she has decided he is her everything. A world without him is nothing to her. She is crazily in love. 

What kind of magic is this? What type of spell did you put on me? She questioned and giggled closing her face under the sheets.

Looking at the picture that he and Nidhi took during last time, Varun felt a strange feeling in him, he slowly touched the phone screen and expanded to see Nidhi's smile.

She was looking gorgeous in that black salwar. That day he badly wanted to hug her tight and kiss her hard but after all, he stopped his rush like all the time.

She is too perfect for him, whatever he needs is there in her. A good heart, an innocent mind, understanding nature, and a pure love she has on him.

When the first time he saw her nothing got into his head than her eyes that gazed straight at him. 

His heart pounded for the first time to see her and for the first time he stared at a girl without knowing a reason.

What is that? He asked himself.

Since he didn't notice her face properly, or what she is wearing at that time just her eyes. It is weird for Varun to stare at a girl like that. 

He always notices a person's eyes first and that is his way of viewing people and he can predict what type of person they are just by few conversations with them.

But that moment Nidhi's eyes reflected a curiosity, perhaps about me? Varun thought and developed himself an interest in her.

Soon Varun realized there is something he is attracted to her and that something is very uncontrollable that turned like an obsession.

He never thought that he will fall in love this madly with Nidhi. He loves her like how much he loves his profession. 

His parents compelled him to become an Aeronautical engineer since his dad was so interested in that profession, even Varun got selected to study in a popular institute. But he not even listen to his words and selected this profession. He decided he wants to be a lawyer when he was studying the sixth standard and he succeeds in that goal facing his parent's objection.

And now Varun's two great wish is one to join the team of famous lawyer Hari Prasad, he is considered as the greatest advocate of all the time who is residing in Delhi. Varun has sent his profile to him and waiting for his reply. If he got the chance then he has to leave Coimbatore, Nidhi to work under him.

The next crazy wish is that he wanted to marry Nidhi as soon as he could, he decided this when the moment he kissed her.

These days he can't even concentrate on anything and yearning to be with her. His heart commanding him to search for her. These things strongly made up his mind about this marriage. But he doesn't know how Nidhi will take this.

He planned this trip to enjoy with her and to ease his fluctuating brain. Too much of investigation and studies really disturbed his peace and added to that his brother's marriage made him sleepless for three straight days. So for calming himself, he needs a peaceful, colorful environment along with Nidhi.

This idea was suggested by his friend, first Varun thought whether Nidhi will accept this but he was really surprised by her yes. That conveyed how much she wanted to be with him.

He loves her; love may be a small word to describe his true feelings, it is more than a love like she is his life if we put on other words.

Next morning Nidhi woke up to find the dark, cloudy sky. She asked Varun whether there is any change in plans since the climate was not good, but he replied simply to get ready, she wore her blue jean and the blacktop hem touched her mid thighs. She tied her hair in a high ponytail and took her backpack. She didn't apply much makeup and came out of her room.

Her mom was on a leave, she prepared a light breakfast for Nidhi and having that she noticed the time as 8.10 am.

Oh my god Varun going to kill me! She thought and left the house telling bye to her mom.

Taking quick steps Nidhi reached where Varun was waiting for her. Eventually, her lips curled into a big smile, he was too handsome in that blue jean and a black leather jacket. She went to him and pinched his hand lightly.

"Same pinch! As we are wearing the same color clothes so buy me a chocolate," she said to him and Varun instantly smiled lightly at the corner of his lips.

"Sure, get on. We have to leave," he informed putting his coolers and Nidhi quickly did understanding her surroundings.

Varun drove the bike at a moderate speed and Nidhi looked at the passing vehicles. Though she felt bad for deceiving her mom the other part of her heart really wanted this.

So throwing the regrets away she gripped Varun's shoulder and smiled.

"I think it is going to rain," Nidhi told to him when they reached out of the city.

"Yeah, but let's see," he replied while driving.

Like Nidhi said the rain started to pour in the midway. Varun can't drive after some distance, thinking about they will get wet he stopped before a tea shop. They got down and stood under the shelter of the tea shop.

They both gazed at the rain, Nidhi felt sad and Varun got irritated.

"Varun," she started.

"I know what you are going to tell," he replied shutting her accusations.

Nidhi giggled looking at his face, and eventually, Varun smiled. "I think it is our fate that we never can enjoy together," he told and Nidhi patted his shoulder.

"Leave it everything happens for good."

Varun turned behind and gazed at the tea shop. Only a few people were in there. "Do you want to drink tea?" Varun questioned.

"Hmm sure," she replied.

Varun went and ordered two tea, he gazed Nidhi she gave a smile.

Why am I feeling so saturated while I am with you? He questioned himself realizing how happy he was at this moment.

"Here," he gave the glass to her and they sat on the chair in front of that tea shop.

Sipping the tea she looked Varun who is intently looking at her. "Will this rain stop?" she questioned him.

"Don't know, if it continues for more than one hour then we will go somewhere else," he replied. 

The pouring rain seemed to be endless, each minute it increased and there is no sign of ceasing.

"Nidhu, what are your plans after this year?"

"Plans? I don't have any great plans other than completing the year successfully."

"Whether you want to work after studying?" Varun curiously asked her.

"Yeah, I have to work and yearn a lot to buy whatever the things that I wanted," she is confused about Varun's questions.

"Why you are suddenly asking about my plans?"

"Just to know about my wifey's plans," he told.

"Varun... Please stop," she blushed while saying those words.

"From now on I am going to address you as my wife, even I changed your contact name as a wife. Look!" he showed his mobile.

She sighed and beamed closing her eyes with one hand.

"Nidhu, if I leave from here what you will do," he suddenly asked her.

"What? Why?"

"What you will do?" he asked the same question.

"I don't know. Are you going somewhere?"

"No maybe in future. If I leave this city will you move with me."

"I will, only after completing my studies," she assured him.

Varun didn't say anything about his plans to Nidhi or to his family, he just kept everything to himself to avoid the confusions and other commitments.

Once the rain was stopped Varun drove the bike, Nidhu wore her hoodie since it is so cold after the rain.

After one and a half hour travel they reached Ooty.

Nidhi was coming here the second time and Varun already visited this place several times.

Because of the rain they just visited a few places like a botanical garden, pykara lake, Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary. They took some pictures together and joining hands they realized how it feels to be in each other ambiance, it is refreshing and memorable. Nidhi felt they are like newlywed couples came for a honeymoon.

They had a lunch in the nearby restaurant. Varun bought a big pack of chocolate for Nidhi. He also paid the bills for all her purchases even though she told that she is having money.

Nidhi bought two similar peach colored sling bag for her and Roshini. A sweater for her dad and an eucalyptus oil that her mom asked.

Nidhi suggested him to bug something for his parents but he already bought several things whenever he came here so he rejected that idea.

Varun just watched her and walked holding her hand. It is new for him to go shopping with Nidhi. He enjoyed hearing questions, seeing her eyes that searching for something good for her loved ones. She selected each and everything after analyzing that for ten minutes. He didn't get irritated actually he learned few things like how to bargain, how to shop.

At last Nidhi suggested buying Variki (cookies specially made in Ooty) for their parents.

The one day trip came to an end. The return journey just frozen Nidhi. She tightly hugged Varun while coming back. 

The coldness turned her skin so pale and she had a cold. Dropping her at the end of their street Varun left to his house.

Her mom welcomed her and Nidhi building a lie escaped from her mom's questions. Her mom asked her to take rest after giving a hot tea to her.

Nidhi laid on her bed.

If it is someone else, this situation will be a chance for them to act inappropriately with me. But Varun not even touched me without my consent. 

What a manly person you are?

I will never ever lose you for anything Varun, Nidhi assured this deeply in her heart and closed her eyes to sleep.
