An Incredible Story

“So you really don't remember huh," The kid sighed as he shook his head slowly. After which, he stared at Dugo intently as he said with a grave expression, “In the Purple Mist Forest, I am one of those people who had a dried body and was about to die because of the demon. I am also the last one that you are about to kill. Do you remember now?” “Demon? Kill you?” Dugo Zugath was taken aback hearing such an answer as shortly after that, fragments of memories entered his mind. His eyes constricted a little as he added, “Don't tell me, you are that kid...” “So, do you remember me now?” The kid didn't agree directly, but his smile confirmed the other party's thought. “How can you still be alive?” Dugo Zugath however, asked in disbelief. He recalled the condition of the other party as he knew well that there was no way in the world to save him. But now, that same kid was in front of him, alive and well? Just what in the world really happened? “As I told you, you'd saved me.” The kid replied with a slight smile. His eyes were still emitting a sense of disbelief recalling how capable the person in front of him really was. “I saved you? But how? I don't have the ability.” Dugo found it stupid that the other party claimed that he saved him. Dugo knew full well his own ability. And in fact, he was only a Forsaken One that didn't have a shred of energy. He didn't even have any possession or healing items when he wandered in the Purple Mist Forest. So how could he save him? This kid must be bluffing. “Don't joke with me, brother. I'm sure you know.” The kid forced a smile as he replied. But he couldn't understand why was the other party acting that way. It was as if he was oblivious to his own ability. Was he purposely feigning ignorance as he didn't want to reveal it to the other people? After all, his aunty, no, his big sister was around. Perhaps, he didn't want her to know about it for certain reasons. “I really don't know.” Dugo Zugath however rejected the other party's thought as replied seriously and added, “And even if I really could save you, why would I do that? I would rather behead you instead just like what I've done to your comrades.” “Oh,” The kid didn't reply immediately as he agreed with the other party's reasoning. He presumed that this guy before him really didn't know how did he save him. He also realized something as he nodded slowly. No wonder the other party seemed to be not in himself when that black aura leaked out from his body. It appeared that he was likely to be possessed or there was something else living in him that he didn't know about. When the kid thought about it, his interest in the other party had increased greatly. He smiled lightly before he finally responded, “Anyway, I'm speaking the truth. You really did save me. It's hard to explain since even I myself find it hard to believe in it but I'm not lying to you.” Dugo Zugath stared intently at the other party's eyes. But seeing that his eyes weren't flinching a bit, he could tell that he was likely telling the truth. Did he really save him? But how? Now, Dugo Zugath was more than interested in the matter. His gaze was locked at the other party's eyes as he asked, “Then tell me how did I save you?” “Do you still remember why did you pass out?” The kid answered with a question. “That...” Dugo Zugath was baffled when he heard him. He didn't really remember. Thus, he opened his mouth again as he replied, “I don't know.” “Oh? So you really are possessed or something.” The kid remarked as he nodded. He wasn't too surprised by the answer he got. “What do you mean?” Dugo Zugath narrowed his eyes. He was itching to hear the answer. Seeing Dugo Zugath, the kid took a deep breath as he responded seriously, “At that time, there was this some kind of unknown black energy leaking out from your body. It was exuding an unfathomable aura. Despite me losing my senses, I still felt how powerful that energy was. After that, you took out a drop of blood from the tip of your finger. That drop of blood was incredibly rich in Life Force. You put it in my mouth as I was almost instantly healed by it. My dried body turned back to normal as my senses, energy, and strength had all come back right away.” “If you think that it was unbelievable, then trust me, I too feel the same way. But I have seen it in my eyes so there is nothing that I can do other than to believe.” “...” Dugo Zugath was silent as he frowned when he heard the other party's explanation. He found no lies from his eyes and tone of voice. Most likely, he was telling what he had just seen. But how could it be possible? What was that black energy that the other party was talking about? This was what he couldn't understand. Not only because he had no energy, but because there was no such energy in the world. “Dear, dear, that was an incredible story.” However, instead of Dugo Zugath, what responded to the kid was a pleasing and chuckling voice. It was obvious that the woman from the side was the one who had just spoken. She was now walking in the direction of the kid, bringing a bowl of rice soup. “I'm not joking aunty! That is what really happened.” The kid however glared at her as he was annoyed that his aunty would take it as a joke. But wait. Aunty? Did he just call her aunty again? The kid swallowed a mouthful of saliva before forcing a smile. He then opened his mouth again and said with a much calmer tone, “I mean, big sister, I'm really not joking. That is what really happened.” “Oh?” The woman placed the bowl of rice soup on the table as she sat on the chair in front of it. After which, she picked the spoon on the bowl and took a spoon of rice soup. After tasting the rice soup she had cooked, she nodded in satisfaction as she expressed, “Hmm, not bad.” “My rice soup,” The kid cried inwardly. How could he be so careless calling his big sister an aunty? Growl! Suddenly, an angry stomach echoed in the house again. It naturally came from the kid who was itching to eat now.
