Dugo's Scheme

1028 Words
Naturally, Dugo Zugath was the one who threw the baby Ashen Ape towards Alu. At first, Dugo decided to run away now that Alu was busy dealing with the Black Totem Snake. With its strength, he was more than sure that this snake could give him enough time to escape from Alu that he wouldn't be able to catch up anymore. However, on his way to fleeing, Dugo suddenly bumped with a little greyish monkey. It was on the ground under a certain tree peacefully eating a fruit that looks like a berry. He could immediately tell that it was a baby of an Ashen Ape. In the beginning, knowing about that kind of beast, Dugo didn't plan to come close to it as he thought of avoiding it instead. Although that baby Ashen Ape was harmless, he knew well that its parents were the opposite. If they saw strangers approaching their child, they would definitely turn wild and attack whoever it was as an act of protection. Thankfully, after a few moments of inspection, and upon confirmation, Dugo found out that the baby Ashen Ape was currently all alone as its parents appeared to be somewhere else for certain reasons. The thought of him avoiding the baby Ashen Ape vanished immediately as it was replaced by an evil scheme. At that moment, Dugo couldn't help but grin. He even thought that luck was by his side at that time. As such, Dugo didn't hesitate any longer as he rushed behind the baby Ashen Ape. He silently launched a sneak attack as he struck its nape. The baby Ashen Ape didn't even have time to react when it suddenly found the world before it blackening. It didn't even have the chance to realize what had just happened when it finally lost its consciousness as its eyes turned all white. With its small and young body, how could it endure a sudden sneak attack? That was surely unfair no matter how one looked at it. But Dugo on the other hand didn't feel any shred of remorse. In this world where the strong ruled, and the weaklings were always trampled upon, he didn't feel any guilt at all when he did something bad against that innocent beast. And contrary to that, what he felt was he did something good for humanity. Because he knew clearly that once this beast grew in its adulthood, it might only cause harm to some humans. It might even lead to the death of some. That was why Dugo didn't feel anything bad for using this baby Ashen Ape to his scheme. What he was worried about was for its parents to find out what he had done before he could even do anything at all. Having thought about it, Dugo didn't delay any more time as he picked the unconscious baby Ashen Ape and brought it with him. He then turned around and returned to where Alu was fighting the Black Totem Snake. With his speed, it didn't take long for him to return from where Alu was. And from a good distance, he saw Alu and the Black Totem Snake having a good time with each other. He was just thankful that Alu was still yet to finish dealing with the Black Totem Snake or else, Dugo might have difficulty executing his plan as he might even find his life in danger instead. Shriek! After some time, Alu finally landed a deadly blow against the Black Totem Snake as it was sent away and bumped heavily on a certain tree. It appeared that the Black Totem Snake was finally defeated as Alu would start chasing after Dugo again. And Dugo knew clearly that now was the time for him to act. He didn't dally around anymore as he finally threw the unconscious baby Ashen Ape at Alu. It even appeared that he threw a baseball at an extremely high speed. And just as he expected, Alu had really thought that what he had thrown at him was a rock or something alike. Seeing what was about to happen, Dugo couldn't help but let out a devilish smile. He could see that Alu was about to s***h the baby Ashen Ape with his broad sword. Swoosh! And finally, the thing that Dugo was anticipating, happened. The baby Ashen Ape was cut in half and died in the hand of Alu. Only when the baby Ashen Ape had died did he feel a little bad for it. But what else could he do? It was already done and he couldn't turn back time anymore. Besides, even if he really could go back in time, Dugo was certain that he would do the same thing all over again. So knowing how dangerous would it get later on, Dugo didn't spare any more glances as he turned around and left with a slight grin. He wasn't happy for the death of the baby Ashen Ape, but for the misfortune that befell Alu. Roar! Just after some time he left, Dugo heard a deafening roar that echoed across the entire forest. He could tell that a good show was now about to occur. Too bad, he didn't have a chance to watch the good show as he knew that it was much better for him to run away instead. Although he was responsible for the death of the baby Ashen Ape, he didn't want to implicate himself in the upcoming chaos. It even appeared that he had nothing to do with it as he ran in the opposite direction of where the good show was about to happen. “I hope that you don't die today, Alu,” Dugo muttered under his breath. Suddenly, the grin on his face was being replaced by coldness as his pure black eyes turned deathly fierce. His pure black hair that was not too long nor too short fluttered wonderfully with the wind as he continued with the same fierceness, “Someday, I will come back and return all the favor that should be returned. I will pay kindness with a hundred folds kindness, and resentment with a thousand folds.”
