The Desperate Alu

“Hmph!” Alu harrumphed coldly as he slashed his sword in the direction where the moving object was coming at him at a fast speed. He was more than certain that Dugo had thrown a rock at him again or something alike. Tsk! Tsk! That brath really thought that he would fall on the same sneak attack? No matter how many times Alu had to click his tongue, he only thought that that brat was kinda stupid.

But this was a good thing for him. Since he was now already done dealing with the Black Totem Snake, he would now torture Dugo before he killed him with his heart's content. No matter what, the huge headache that Dugo had given to him was couldn't be forgiven anymore. Even if the other party begged for mercy, Alu wouldn't even bat an eyelid as he would certainly torture him to death.

Alu was just really thankful that Dugo didn't run away. Otherwise, he would have had trouble finding him especially knowing that the other party was elusive and had plenty of cunning tricks under his sleeve. If that brat had really run away, there was even a chance that he wouldn't even be able to find him anymore. If that happened, their master would definitely be enraged as he and his comrades would certainly receive heavy punishments.

With that in mind, Alu finally brandished his sword. And just as he expected, Dugo had really thrown something at him. His broad sword hit that fast object thrown at him as he even managed to cut it into a half even without looking at it. The two parts of that object had naturally flung past at him on each of his sides. He couldn't help smiling seeing that he hit that thing in succession.

However, just a moment later, his smile suddenly froze. Because accompanying that thing flinging past him was a warm liquid that splashed on his body. Only then did Alu gave more of his attention as he shifted his gaze at the warm liquid that dyed his clothes. When he did so, he saw his clothes being dyed in red. He even smelled a stench that made his eyes constrict. Naturally, that red liquid dying his clothes was blood. From which blood it came from, he naturally could tell that it was from the thing that was thrown at him by Dugo and was cut by him into a half.

At that moment, Alu's heart couldn't help but hastened a beat as he felt a bad premonition. He hurriedly turned around and shifted his gaze at the object he cut that flung past him. And when he saw that thing, he immediately felt lightheaded as he almost passed out in sheer frustration.

In his line of sight, a baby greyish ape was lying lifelessly on the ground. Its body was divided into upper and lower parts while its blood had dyed the ground red. Its blood was also seeking justice on why did it die so unfairly.

So how could Alu not feel any headache if what he had just cut into a half was a baby of the Ashen Ape? One must know that it was a kind of beast that was naturally stronger than him during adulthood.

It was still fine if he encountered a young Ashen Ape that was yet to reach adulthood. He could kill it easily even with closed eyes. But since the case was he had just killed the baby of an Ashen Ape, its parents were naturally in its adulthood. And he knew clearly that they wouldn't sit idly once they found out about what he had done. Thus, once the parents of this baby Ashen Ape learned about the death of their child, this would only spell huge trouble. With the beast instinct of the Ashen Apes and their sharp nose, it would only take them some time to learn about what had just happened and find the location of their child that was murdered so unfairly.

And that was what Alu worrying about. It was still fine if he would only deal with its mother. Although he wouldn't be able to defeat it, he was certain that he could escape. However, he knew well that he would not only deal with its mother but with its father as well. Just imagining the rage of the adult male Ashen Ape could only make Alu shiver in fear.

Run!

At that moment, Alu had only one thought in mind. He didn't even try to look for Dugo to avenge himself as he started making a move and run in the direction of his comrades to ask for help before it was too late. He knew full well that his life was much important than anything else in the world.

“Damn brat! I swear to God that I will hunt you down and kill you slowly!" As he ran frenziedly, Alu didn't forget to curse Dugo in his heart. If thoughts could kill, then Dugo might have died a thousand times already.

However, he had just made a few steps forward when suddenly, he felt a piercing pain in his right shoulder. He didn't even have enough time to realize what was going on when something entangled his body that immobilized him. Only then did he find out what had just happened. And it only gave him a much greater frustration.

How could he not if the Black Totem Snake that he beat up, bit his right shoulder as it immediately entangled his body trying to strangle him to death? It was apparent that it was the act of revenge of the Black Totem Snake. Since it thought that it would die anyway, it must have thought as well that it would bring its enemy down with it.

And from the looks of it, it seemed like the Black Totem Snake was successful.

Although Black Totem Snakes had a little wisdom, it could still understand what was going on seeing the corpse of the Ashen Ape that was cut into half. And seeing as well that that human was in a rush of leaving, it could tell that this human was trying to escape from the wrath of the parents of that Ashen Ape. Since that was the case, the Black Totem Snake used the last of its strength to delay and drag down the human who ate its egg. It was thinking that if it couldn't kill this human, then it would borrow help from the others. What was important was to kill this human and avenge its egg.

“F*ck! Let go of me damn worm!” Alu struggled furiously as he tried to forcefully break free from the entanglement of the Black Totem Snake. But even when his adrenaline rush was working at that time, he still found it hard to shake the Black Totem Snake off his body.

But of course, Alu didn't give up that easily. Amidst his desperation, and with the Black Totem Snake getting weaker and weaker, Alu finally managed to shake off the Black Totem Snake from his body. And since fury had already flooded in his heart, he didn't show a shred of mercy as he threw a blade s***h against the Black Totem Snake.

The Black Totem Snake on the other hand was too weak to dodge or defend as finally, the blade s***h touched its body and cut it to a half. Its red eyes then turned dull as they were still covered in regret, resentment, and relief before it breathed its last. Although it didn't exactly avenge its egg, it was satisfied that it managed to drag that human enough.

Roar!

Just as the Black Totem Snake died, a thunderous roar echoed across the entire forest. The wrath blended on that roar was could be easily discerned.

And Alu, on the other hand, turned pale. He had cold sweats all over his body as he didn't even notice that his clothes were being drenched.

Knowing the danger clearly enough, Alu didn't dare dally as he hurriedly made a move and ran in the direction where his friends were. No matter what, the most important thing that he must do right now was to run away as soon as possible and as far away as could be.
