Alu Vs Black Totem Snake

Shriek!

Very soon, the Black Totem Snake finally arrived as it let out a shrill cry. It was a 7 meters long snake. Its skin was purely black that it didn't even have any luster at all. When it stopped by, its gaze had immediately landed on Alu.

At that moment, it immediately saw the broken shell of an egg on the ground near that human as it could clearly smell its egg from him. It could even see sticky liquid stuffing on his face. Obviously, this vicious human was the one who "ate" its egg!

The Black Totem Snake felt the world had just befallen it. Just why did something like this happened to it? Sorrows and wrath could be seen in its dark yellowish eyes with a vertical pupil. As it couldn't endure the pain it felt any longer, its body trembled before it finally emitted another shrill cry. How could a mother be at ease if she saw her son/daughter being eaten just like that?

With that being said, the Black Totem Snake sacrificed its vital essence and entered the berserk mode. Unless they were in grave danger, or their loved ones were hurt before their eyes, Black Totem Snakes wouldn't sacrifice their vital essence and ran on a rampage. Because they knew well that it would cost them a huge price to pay.

But now that its egg was being eaten, the Black Totem Snake didn't think and care about its own well-being anymore. It completely lost its mind and sacrificed its vital essence in sheer anger.

As it entered the berserk mode, its dark yellowish eyes turned bloody red as it bared its fang against the vicious human who ate its egg. In its eyes, this human was clearly a demon who only knew how to claim one's life.

Alu, on the other hand, didn't dare dally around. Holding his broad sword, he brandished it against the approaching Black Totem Snake. Although Black Totem Snakes were only at the level of an E-rank at most, he knew clearly that once it entered berserk mode, its level of strength wouldn't be any lower than his. He knew well that a slight carelessness would cost him great danger.

Clang!

The sound of a sword and fang hitting each other echoed in the surroundings. However, it appeared that after the collision, the berserk mode of the Black Totem Snake was much stronger as Alu was pushed backward. His feet lined on the ground before coming to a halt after some distance. Alu didn't expect that this snake would go this strong after the berserk mode.

But while he was thinking and measuring the strength of the Black Totem Snake, it rushed at him in frenzy. It appeared that this snake didn't want to give him time to rest and was so eager to kill him. Since that was the case, Alu decided to give his all as well.

Alu then took a deep breath. His fierce eyes turned fiercer when he gazed at the approaching Black Totem Snake. His grip on his sword then turned tighter as he transmitted his Weapon Energy on his sword. It was as if his body and sword were enveloped by a silver aura.

But the Black Totem Snake on the other hand didn't reveal any traces of fear seeing what Alu had done. Instead, it also turned fiercer as its body was being enveloped by a red aura. It could be said that it used its Physical Energy to further enhance its strength. With the affinity of the beasts with Physical Energy, they could use this energy much better than most humans could. They were so blessed in Physical Energy that they were considered the king of brute strength.

And Alu, of course, knew of this. That was why he didn't dare underestimate the Black Totem Snake even a little. Even though he was a one-star D-rank, and was obviously stronger than that enraged beast, he knew that its Physical Energy that was further enhanced by its berserk mode could make up for the gap in rank.

“Die, you bastard!”

With full force, Alu finally brandished his sword against the Black Totem Snake creating a blade s***h. The blade s***h greeted the approaching Black Totem Snake furiously threatening to cut it into a half.

The Black Totem Snake didn't back down though. Since it already lost its mind, it confronted the blade s***h with its fang. However, it never thought that the attack made by Alu was really strong as it would cause him to suffer.

Bang!

The Black Totem Snake and the blade s***h finally collided against each other. Soon after that, it caused an explosion as shockwaves followed suit. Trees and plants in the surrounding area swayed as it even appeared that they would jump away from where they were rooted.

Shriek!

And shortly after the explosion, another shrill cry echoed in the surroundings. It could be heard that the pain and sufferings were blended on that cry. Obviously, the Black Totem Snake didn't have a good ending after that exchanged blows.

“Hmph! Trash!” Alu sneered coldly seeing the Black Totem Snake that was sent flying and had crashed heavily on the certain tree from a distance. He was even having a hard time suppressing the grin on his face from appearing. Since he defeated the Black Totem Snake in one blow, he naturally would get excited about it. It appeared that his strength didn't disappoint him this time.

Alu then stared fixedly at the Black Totem Snake lying on the ground. It was in the bloody mess as there was even fresh sword cut surfacing on its head. Although it was still alive and was preparing to retaliate, he could tell that it was greatly weakened.

Swoosh!

However, Alu was still staring at the Black Totem Snake and was thinking about his victory when he suddenly heard a fast object coming in his direction. His eyes widened a little in surprise before finally, a smile surfaced on his lips again. He didn't think much as he slashed his sword to the side to greet the incoming fast object.

Alu could tell that this fast object was another cunning trick of that brat Dugo. Since that brat thought that he wasn't paying attention to him anymore, he must have taken that opportunity to throw a bigger rock on him. Too bad, Alu wasn't as careless as before as the same tricks wouldn't work on him at all. In his heart, he was mocking Dugo for his stupidity. If he had instead used his time to run away as far away as possible, then it would be a wise decision. But this brat actually dared to stay and give him a sneak attack? Although it was obviously a stupid action, Alu could only praise Dugo for his courage. It appeared that since he would still be caught anyway, that brat had already given up running away and chose to resort on his final and desperate retaliation. That was indeed a courageous choice to come up with.

As Alu thought about it, he was getting more and more complacent, unaware that an impending danger was ready to happen at any moment.
