Dugo Zugath Revealed Himself

1233 Words
When the gazes of the people around him fell on him, Jason could only sigh and put a slight smile. Since it came to this, he should at least satisfy their curiosity, right? With that in mind, Jason finally shifted his gaze at a certain bush. When the other four saw him staring at that certain bush, they also shifted their gazes at it. But when they did, they could only frown and tilt their heads as they didn't see anything strange at all. That person hid under that bush? Even any of them found it unbelievable. They could see no presence or any traces of anyone from that bush at all. It appeared that someone was really extremely proficient in hiding. “What an interesting brat,” Suddenly, while they were still guessing who would be that someone hiding under that bush, Jason's mutterings sounded. All of them were taken aback by his words. Brat? That someone hiding under that bush was only a brat? How could it be possible? Perhaps, Jason was just underestimating that someone as he treated him as a brat. Yes, that should be it. It must be... The four people beside Jason had the same thoughts in mind. They didn't dare believe that a brat was actually capable of such a feat. Unless that someone revealed himself and was proven to be a brat, only then would they believe in it. “Tell me, who are you?” Not long after Jason had spoken, he added and asked. His tone of voice wasn't timid nor aggressive. One could tell that he didn't bear any hostility at all. The four other people beside Jason stared intently at the bush where that certain someone was hiding. Their eyes narrowed slightly, not even one of them had spoken to make a comment. With bated breaths, they were anticipating to see who was that brat Jason was talking about. Rustle! Just a moment later, there were some movements. A rustle of the leaves sounded from that bush. The thing that they were anticipating was now about to occur. And when that someone finally left out of the bush, besides Jason who wore a nonchalant expression, the other four had their eyes widened in shock as their pupils constricted. Were their eyes deceiving them? They didn't dare believe immediately what they had seen. But what else could they do? The truth laid bare in front of them. The one who was hiding inside that bush was really a kid that looked the same in age as the little princess and the young prince. Just who exactly was he? Was there really such a capable person in the world? All of them scrutinized the young boy before them as they frowned right away. Although the boy was handsome, he was covered in dust and dirt. It was obvious that he didn't clean himself for a long time now. Looking at his tattered clothes, they could tell that he came from a poor family. Just how could someone as capable as he emerged from that kind of family? Or was he in disguise? All of them had the same thoughts. None of them spoke for a moment. They continued to examine the young boy from his physical appearance as their frowns were getting deeper. Until then, they noticed that even when faced against them, the young boy didn't even show any hint of fear. He stood in there like a mighty fortress as his sharp eyes gazed at them in utter nonchalance. It was as if someone like them wasn't worth fearing. “He's a slave.” Suddenly, the first comment sounded. It came from the little princess who still had a shocked expression. Other than the young prince who was still comparing himself to the young boy before him, the three knights had already noticed the slave mark on his face as well. And they were left astonished that such a capable person was only a slave. Just who exactly was he? From what powerful force did he came from for someone like him to only be treated as a mere slave? “A slave?” The young prince who had just noticed the slave mark on the face of Dugo was shocked. But a moment later, he turned furious as he pointed his forefinger towards Dugo and bellowed, “And here I am, comparing myself to a lowly being like you. How dare you show yours...” Sapak! However, the young prince was still yet to finish his insult when something heavy hit the back of his head. The force was so strong as his face had even slammed on the back of his horse. “Fool,” A moment later, a cute and sweet voice sounded. It was obvious that it came from the little princess. And from the looks of it, she seemed to have slapped the back of the head of her big brother. “Why did you hit me?!” The young prince was furious as he got up and glared at his vicious little sister. How could she hit him when he didn't even do anything at all. “You...” However, his younger sister didn't bother herself with him turning him even more furious. And what was even more infuriating was that he couldn't do anything at all. The little princess on the other hand stared intently at the young boy. She pursed her lips before she opened her mouth and asked, “Who are you? Why are you following us?" Dugo Zugath stared at her too. Faced with her beauty, he didn't feel anything at all. As such, when he answered him back, his tone of voice only bore an impassive tone. “I'm not following you. I'm already here even before you arrived. I'm just hiding from all of you.” “Not following us? You are already here even before we arrived? And you are just hiding from us? Nonsense!” The young prince suddenly roared hearing such an answer from the young boy. As he roared, he didn't forget to vent all his anger. Not noticing the darkened expression of his little sister, and the three knights forcing a bitter smile, he continued with his anger showing without restraint, “He must be a spy! Right, he must be here to tail and watch over us. There is no way that someone as proficient as him in hiding would only be here just to hide from us!” Sapak! However, what he received was another slap. But this time, it wasn't on the back of his head but on his soft cheeks. “Will you please shut up?!” The little princess couldn't hold herself any longer as she gave her big brother what he deserved. Just why the hell was he being too noisy? That was too annoying! She was still trying to interrogate the young boy and put everything she learned into practice and this big brother of her would just interrupt her again and again? Just how stupid her big brother would get for him to not understand her intention? The young prince on the other hand could only cry as he held his cheeks with both of his hands trying to alleviate the pain. He couldn't fight back as well since she was his beloved little sister. In the end, he could only glare at Dugo cursing him in his heart. In his mind, he already had killed Dugo a thousand times already.
