“Since you've peeked through my memories and showed me something beautiful, let me try doing something the same.” When Samantha heard Dugo, she suddenly felt uneasy. It couldn't be that this guy also knew how to cast illusions, right? If that was the case, then she might be in trouble this time! However, recalling that ordinary illusions wouldn't work on her as she'd a good resistance against it, she felt at ease again. She was confident that this boy before her wouldn't be better than her. Unbeknownst to her, what would happen next would leave a deep mark in her heart. It might even change her in the future or cause her trauma. However, amidst her confidence, Samantha found herself forming a deep frown on her face. Plenty of questions flooded her mind as the first thing that came out from her lips was, “Who am I?” Why couldn't she remember her name? Samantha was baffled and was slightly agitated. Her memories about herself were getting blurry and blurry as she couldn't even recall her name or who she used to be anymore. What was this now? How could she forget something as important as that? “Where am I? What am I doing here?” Samantha asked again. At that moment, he couldn't see Dugo anymore even though he was just in front of her. All she could see was the dim alley but she had no way of recognizing that place. Surprisingly, when Samantha couldn't figure out where she was now, everything around her was suddenly being swallowed by the darkness. It slowly swallowed everything in her sight until finally, all that was left was her alone. There was not a single thing he could see in the surroundings other than herself and the darkness. Her emotion was stirred and became complicated. She felt sad, she felt pain, she felt distressed, she felt discomfort, but she couldn't express them at all. Her expression remained impassive as if she wasn't allowed to show her feelings and emotion on her face. Samantha then took a step forward into the darkness. But she didn't know for what reason. And at that moment, she suddenly questioned her existence. Just why was she living anyway? What was her purpose in this world? Where was she going? And where did she come from? Samantha swept her gaze around but seeing the complete darkness, she couldn't think of an answer. It was as if her life was meaningless and nothing would be different whether she exist or not. Suddenly, tears fell from the edge of her eyes. However, her expression remained impassive and didn't¹11 express any pain. Her heart turned piercing cold as she wanted to cry out loud but to no avail. Thankfully, in the midst of her desperation, she saw light from afar that shone like a star. She saw the slight ray of hope as she wished to reach the star. And with that in mind, she moved forward. She walked and then ran towards the light. And when she was getting nearer, the light was also getting brighter. Seeing that there might be a chance, she ran a little bit faster as she reached her right hand towards the light she was heading into. Until finally, she found that that light came from a certain door. She didn't think much as she ran towards it hoping that it was the exit of that seemingly endless darkness. And when she reached and exited through the door, she suddenly came to a halt. Because what she saw had taken her by surprise. It was a luxurious room where everything in there appeared to be extravagant and costly. But for the person she found in there, it appeared that everything in the area wasn't worth mentioning. Samantha turned her gaze as she found a luxurious bed in the room. She found a crimson-haired woman sitting on the bed and a three to four years old girl with the same color of hair. That kid was also sitting on the bed as she was facing the woman. From the looks of it, they were mother-and-child. “Mother, mother, if I become adult, I want to be like father,” Samantha suddenly heard the young girl talking with a sweet voice. She raised her right hand forward as in her hand, she was holding a tiny wooden sword. “Yes, yes, my darling. You will definitely be stronger than your father.” The woman replied with a sweet smile. “Really? I want to become an adult now.” The young girl stood up on the bed, anticipation could be seen gleaming in her eyes. When Samantha saw the scene, she suddenly frowned a bit. Because she felt that something like that had happened to her before. Not only that, those two looked familiar to her but she couldn't recall them at all. Samantha pondered deeply about it. But when she was helpless to recall anything, she decided to call them and ask. However, something unexpected happened. Her head suddenly start hurting as the pain was becoming stronger and stronger. Samantha kneeled on the floor. She held her head in the tightest hoping to ease the pain. But when the excruciating pain almost became unbearable, it suddenly vanished. Samantha then put her hands on the ground. Cold sweats poured out from her face. She was gasping heavily as if she would lose her breath at any moment. Gradually, her breathing became stable. She wiped the sweats on her face with the back of her hand as only then did she notice that she wasn't in the same room anymore. No, she was in the same room but the place became different. The surroundings were now enveloped by a crimson hue. A bloody moon could be seen shining outside the window. Stinks of blood covered the surroundings as Samantha found her heart tightening. She shifted her gaze and there she found the mother and daughter from before. However, what she saw this time wasn't as peaceful as before. Her eyes suddenly constricted as she couldn't help but take a cold breath. In her line of sight, she saw the mother sitting on the side of the bed. Below her was a red liquid that appeared to be blood. There was a sword piercing her chest as it appeared that she had already lost her breath. Just in front of the woman, the child from before was standing and facing the woman. But the aura around her seemed to be not normal as extreme killing intent was leaking out from her. In her hand, there was something like a heart as blood was even dripping down from it. It was still beating but it appeared like it would stop sooner or later. Suddenly, the young girl turned around. After she turned around, she looked at Samantha. But the pupil of her eyes were now bloody red in color and there was a vertical red line in the middle. She had an emotionless expression as blood could be seen falling from her eyes like tears. A moment after her gaze landed on Samantha, Her lips suddenly formed a grin. Samantha found her heart be filled with fear as she involuntarily took a step back. Just what the hell did this kid have done? Did she kill her own mother? At that moment, Samantha could only think about it. Her entire body shivered violently as she finally fell on the floor.
