Chap 9

Alidas POV

Soon I arrive at Rede Financial. I park my bike close to the back door so I can make a quick getaway if needed. I have a key card provided by Mr. Hilt. I go in and disable the security guards and wipe the surveillance system and disable it off.

So far so good. I pull my knifes out. They are dipped with night shade. I head up the elevator until I reach the floor before his office. I don’t want him to hear the elevator before he sees me. That would give away the element of surprise. I head up the stairs to the top floor. I hear I’m talking to someone in his office. There isn’t supposed to be anyone here but hun. I slowly make my way to see if he’s on his phone. I pull up my phone to use his camera in his office.

He has someone in there. He is in a stupid meeting. Then the scent hits me. It’s Dom and Chris. I have my blockers on so they can’t smell me. Do I go outside and shot a arrow or my riffle from across the building in the parking garage and hope it kills its target and they don’t save him. Have Dom here is distracting Aria from the plan. All she wants to do is run in there and jump into Doms arms.

This is a prime example why we can’t be with him. We were hired to kills the man he is having a meeting with.

I don’t care!! I want him. He’s our mate.

I decide to head up to the roof and zip line over to the other building. I get out my snipper riffle and take aim. They are just sitting around his desk talking. Soon Nichols turns around and walks to the window. I take the shot. It sings through the air and shatters the glass hitting Nicholas in the upper chest. I’m sure I hit is heart. I am watching everyone freak out in the room. I rappel down to my bike and take off.

Doms POV

Chris dragged me to London for our business meeting with Nicholas Rede. He is a Demon prince of the Night Coven. He thinks someone is trying to kill him. He has noticed money has been taken out of several accounts and he thinks it may be Derek Hilt. Derek was made that he didn’t get made COO and was passed over for Nicholas brother Adam.

We are sitting in his office talking when Axel starts to stir

What’s the matter buddy? He hasn’t been himself since Alida left .

I sense Alida and Aria near by but I can’t pinpoint it.

What! They are nearby?

D-axel says he senses Alida nearby but can’t pinpoint her.

C-maybe she has been in London recently and this building. Maybe she was hired to kill Nicholas?

Before I can express my concerns the glass window shatters and Nicholas goes down. He groans and sits up. There is a silver bullet imbedded in the bullet proof vest that he was apparently wearing under his dress shirt.

N-Well apparently I was right. Someone wants me dead. Good thing I wore this today(he says with a chuckle)

D- That was a close one. If it’s who I think it was you are lucky.

N-Who do you think it is man?

D- The Angel of Death.

N-Who is that?

C-The Angel of Death is the top assassin form Lincoln assassin. They have never been caught and never leave a trail to fallow. Even by the top trackers.

N- Sounds like they use magic to hide. Sneaky .

D- That’s not the worst news. (I sigh). The Angel Of Death is my mate Alida. She was hired to kill my before we meet. She left to protect me but fate keeps bringing her back to me. She is bias as to who she kills. She doesn’t take sides. She does the job takes the money and that’s it.

N- Wait wait wait. Your mate is an assassin? The one who just tried to kill me.

D- Yeah…

N- Sorry man but I can’t let that slide. We need to find her. If she won’t stop I will kill her first.

I am seeing red that he threatened my mate but I understand where he is coming from.

D- My wolf axle actually sensed her before you got shot. We assumed that maybe she was in the building prior to. That means I guess Axel can sense here even with the cloak she has on her sent.

N- When we find her I will let you talk to her but if she doesn’t agree to stop then I will have to take matters into my own hands.

C- She will probably be able to tell you who put the hit out on your head.

We all agree. We head down stairs to find the security guards asleep in a pile on the floor and the security system wiped. Axel can tell she was here. We got back to Nicholas house and make a plan. Fate keeps sending us together love. I will find you and bring you home. I am not scared.
