Chapter One
when God is quiet, sinners always rejoice.
Once upon a time, there was a king called king Ezeonu. He was a strong man and ruled arbitrarily in Ubia village. All his subjects were afraid of him and no body has ever challenged or disagree to obey his word. These makes everybody in Ubia village to worship him like their God.
One day king Ezeonu summoned two wretched men from the villages and had then brought before him and his guests. Who is greater between me and God? "He asked the two men. Mr. Judas, one of the men answered, "you are the greatest, your highness," he said because he felt the king can care and provide for him.
King Ezeonu was happy with Judas answer and he turned to the man called Uzondu. Uzondu is a faithful man who believes in God and also he have fear of God. He cannot offend God in order to make a heart of man. King Ezeonu asked him the same question.
Unknown to him , it is not all his subjects that acknowledge him as God. Uzondu was one of them and he declared that God was greater than king Ezeonu.
His answer greatly offended the king (king Ezeonu). He became very furious. He yelled and cursed him (Uzondu). "You will continue to suffer and languish in poverty throughout your life," he pronounced and had him thrown out of his palace.
He then decided to reward Judas who had proclaimed his supremacy and gave him a big pumpkin. "Take, have a rich and lovely festival (because they are preparing to celebrate their festival next Sunday) return to me in seven days time after the celebration of festival to tell me how you enjoyed yourself, he said. Judas was very happy. He thanked the king and left the palace happily.
