"Ronald, I can explain," Whitney stammered, trying to untangle herself from Tyler.
Ronald's eyes narrowed as he stepped forward. "Explain what? That you're sleeping with my Beta behind my back?" he growled.
Whitney tried to protest, but Ronald wouldn't listen. He felt like his entire world was crumbling around him. His mate and his second-in-command, the two people he trusted most in the world, had betrayed him.
"What the hell is going on?" Ronald demanded, turning to Tyler.
Tyler looked down, shame etched on his face. "I'm sorry, Ronald. It just happened. We didn't mean for it to go this far."
Ronald couldn't believe what he was hearing. Tyler was always so loyal, and yet he had done this to him. His mind was racing, and he didn't know what to do.
"You both have betrayed me," Ronald said through gritted teeth. "I trusted you, Tyler. I trust you both."
Whitney tried to reach out to him, but he pushed her away. He didn't know if he could ever forgive her for what she had done.
As he walked away, his mind was in turmoil. He had put so much effort into building up his pack and securing their safety, but it seemed like everything he had worked for was falling apart. Ronald's heart felt like it had been ripped out of his chest. He couldn't bear to watch any longer and stumbled out of the den, feeling dizzy and disoriented. The world around him seemed to spin as he struggled to come to terms with what he had just seen. As Ronald stormed out of the den, his heart heavy with betrayal, he couldn't help but wonder how it had all come to this.
