Chapter 2: Unwanted Visitor

1112 Words
The rain is pouring down hard outside my window as I sipped on my chocolate milk. It's the perfect weather for me on my day off, so who wouldn't want to relax and do nothing. After being told that Jeff would disappear because of his CEO-substitute responsibilities, my workdays became so boring. I wasn't kidding when I said that I'll miss Jeff-that talkative son of a b***h- during his days of absence around me. Anyway, as I said, I'm just lounging around my house, sipping my drink while reading my book when suddenly I heard a loud banging on my door. Startled, I almost spilled my chocolate drink on my book. This pissed me off so I stood up immediately and checked who is this disrespectful person who just barged on my peaceful night. Upon checking, I noticed a blond-haired male, drenched with the rain, waiting impatiently outside. His back is facing my door as if he's on the lookout for someone from a distance. His posture is definitely not someone that I know, therefore it made me doubt whether I should open up or not. As I studied him behind my door, he suddenly turned around and banged on my door once more. Wait a minute.. Jeff? What the sprinkles is he doing here. "Yo, Jeff, I know these days have been hard on you but please you don't have to bang on my door. I have a f*****g doorbell" I grumbled as I unlocked my doorknob. But before I could even open it wide enough for him to enter, he immediately pushed his way in and slammed the door shut. I was totally frozen in place. Everything about him is different, except for his dangerously handsome face. He stood taller, his posture is almost the same as Jeff's, but his body seemed more muscled than Jeff will ever be. Also, his choice of clothes! Jeff would never wear black. He thinks it doesn't fit him. Hold on...did I just check him out? "You're Ashley right?" his voice echoed throughout my living room making me snap out of my trance. He sounded so deep, and masculine making my feminine self scream. "You just entered a house and you're not even sure who the owner is?" I absentmindedly asked. I couldn't believe what I just said. I should've answered him properly goddamnit! "Well, I had a rough guess" He replied calmly before he walked forward towards my room. Wait, my room? "Oi! You can't just barge into someone else's house and enter someone else's room. I'm not sure who you are or how you know me but you gotta limit yourself first" I finished quickly while spreading my hands to block his way. He just looked at me and gave out a deep breath before he decided to walk towards my bathroom. "Then bring me a towel and clothes" he demanded before slamming the bathroom door shut. What? Did he just order me around? In my own house? Fine. Maybe he's in a bind from something or what. I guess I'll just help him out JUST this ONCE. . . . "I guess you already know who I am" he started as he munched on the pizza he ordered himself using MY MONEY. "I have no idea what you're talking about" I replied as I stared at him from the counter. I couldn't believe this guy. His audacity is flipping me off. My peaceful day was ruined because of his thick face. He paused and looked me straight in the eye. I noticed how blue they were, almost the same as the sapphire gems my grandmother once gave me. "I guess Jeff didn't tell you?" oh.. so he is Blue? The one with a ridiculously cute name? When he noticed my look of realization, he finally smirked and wiped off his lips with a napkin. "care to explain Mr. Runaway?" I asked with an arched brow. First, he drops all of his responsibilities to my BFF coworker, and now he enters my house without my permission. "Things must have a reason, and now I am all ready to hear I-" before I could even finish my sentence he cut me off. "No explanations. I'm just tired" he replied, a smile plastered on his beautiful face. I hate to admit, he looks even more attractive the longer I stare at him. But what? That's it? "Are you serious?" I scoffed in disbelief. "You looked like someone was chasing you when I looked outside, and now you're just tired?!" "okay babe chill-" "I can't chill! You're a CEO for crying out loud! how did you even know me anyway?! Did Jeff tell you my address? If he did I will seriously ki-'' "I just know. I was here before" He finished with finality. My eyes grew wide and my mouth dropped open "Okay, so you're a stalker then?!" I'm fuming. I swear my face is probably as red as a tomato right now. He held his hands in defense as if waiting for me to calm down first. I didn't give him a chance. Before I knew it my knees made contact with his balls and soon, he's crouching on the floor, holding his delicate body part. "You do know that it's illegal to stalk someone right?" I'm so pumped to kill somebody tonight. I don't care if he's a CEO or a billionaire, or someone so handsome that his blood type is so rare. He did something wrong, and I'm here to set his ideas straight. "Wait! I- I didn't stalk you" Blue, now red from pain tried to reason his way out from my rage. "I really did come here. We were friends!" I frowned at him. Jeff was the only friend I ever had since I worked at the company. "Lie to me again and I'll make sure you will never have a chance to reproduce" I said pumping my knuckles. He is now sitting on the floor with me looming over him. One wrong move and my foot will be stomping eggs tonight. "No, I'm not lying" He took a deep breath first before he ran his hands through his damp hair. This made him look hot, despite sitting pathetically on my cream-colored floor. "We were friends before Jeff came into the picture, I took you home after spending a whole night together at a club-" before he could even finish his sentences, memories began flooding inside my head. My hands covered my own mouth as realization hit me like a brick. "Did-did we?" "are you stupid? of course we did. How could you not remember a single damn thing?!"
