The rest of the school day, Emily was hugely distracted trying to decipher what was bothering her mate, Emmett. Something about the fated mate bond, as far as she could figure, and his parents. That was for sure. But she had a place to start her research: Dewey, Arizona, and Emetiel Chakayobos. At least that's how she hoped it was spelled. She spent the next hour and a half searching on her phone for anything about him or his hometown, but aside from a map of Pleasant Valley and its surrounding area, she found nothing.
