Chapter Eleven
Laura didn’t usually enjoy these events, but she knew it was important that she was there for Philip. She’d also talked to Harriet about it who had given her some helpful advice. It was the yearly Dinner Dance for Union Plant Hire. It was held in a hotel in New York and all the guests were booked in overnight. The guests arrived mid-afternoon and relaxed in the Hotel for a while. They all gathered at eight o’clock in the function room for the event. There were around four hundred people there from across all departments of the company.
