MIDDLE OF BATTLE
In the land of Elvandar, two kingdoms had long been at war with each other: the Kingdom of Sunfire and
the Kingdom of Moonstone. For years, the kingdoms fought over resources, land, and power. Both sides
had suffered great losses, but neither seemed willing to back down.
In the midst of this war, two mysterious boys appeared. They were known only as the Brothers, and they
had come to Elvandar with a mission. Nobody knew their genuine identity and they had come from or what their true
intentions were, but they quickly made a name for themselves on the battlefield. They fought with an
otherworldly skill and precision, cutting down Sunfire and Moonstone soldiers alike. Rumors began to
spread that the Brothers were not mortal men, but something else entirely.
The war raged on, but as the days passed, the Brothers began to draw the attention of the kingdom
leaders. King Roran of Sunfire and Queen Lyra of Moonstone both sent scouts to track the Brothers'
movements, hoping to learn more about them. But the Brothers remained elusive, appearing and
disappearing without warning.
One night, as the two armies were locked in battle, the Brothers suddenly appeared on the field. They
stood in the middle of the battlefield, arms raised, and a strange energy emanated from their bodies.
Sunfire and Moonstone soldiers alike began to drop their weapons, paralyzed by the Brothers' power.
It was then that the Brothers spoke. "We have come to end this war," they said, their voices echoing
across the field. "We will mediate between Sunfire and Moonstone, but both sides will have to make sacrifices."
The armies were sceptical, but they were also weary of the war. They agreed to hear the Brothers out.
The Brothers proposed a plan: Sunfire and Moonstone would each send their bravest and most skilled
warriors to fight in a final battle. The winner would claim victory and all the spoils of war, but the losers
would also give up something precious. Sunfire would give up their most valuable possession, a mystical crystal that had been handed down through the ages. Moonstone would surrender their most beloved princess, a young woman named Aria.
The leaders of Sunfire and Moonstone were hesitant, but they also saw the wisdom in the Brothers'
plan. They agreed to it, and the final battle was set.
The day of the battle arrived, and both armies gathered on the field. The warriors chosen to fight for
each side stepped forward. For Sunfire, it was a young knight named Marcus, who was known for his
bravery and quick thinking. For Moonstone, it was a fierce warrior named Arin, who had never lost a
battle.
With their swords drawn, the two combatants confronted one another. The Brothers stood off to the side, watching
intently.
The battle was fierce and intense, with neither warrior gaining the upper hand for a long time. But
eventually, Marcus began to wear down. He had been fighting for hours, and his muscles were tired.
Arin saw his opportunity and struck, knocking Marcus' sword out of his hand.
It was at this moment that the Brothers intervened. They raised their hands, and a blinding light filled
the battlefield. When it cleared, both Marcus and Arin were gone.
The armies were stunned, but the Brothers spoke again. "The war is over," they said. "Sunfire has won,
but Moonstone has also paid a price. The crystal and the princess are both lost to them forever."
The armies disbanded, and the people of Elvandar began to rebuild their lives. But the Brothers
remained a mystery. No one knew where they had come from or where they had gone. Some whispered
that they were angels sent by the gods, while others believed they were powerful sorcerers or even
extra-terrestrial beings.
