Flashback - Twenty Years Ago.
The neighborhood was quiet, not much going on at this hour. Houses were small and spaced out, nothing fancy. It was a peaceful night, the only sounds were distant cars passing by.
Hunter was standing in his room, surrounded by the comforting familiarity of his home and could see the dimly lit houses in front of them, their windows dark against the night sky. The moonlight filtered in through the big window while casting soft shadows across the room. Lost in his thoughts, he walked over to the window and looked out into the night.
His eyes were fixed on the window of the house across the street. After a few moments of examination, to ensure that his mother and siblings were sound asleep, Satisfied, he reached for his torch while flicking it on to cast its beam across the quiet street and illuminating the window on the other side. The light danced across the glass, a silent signal sent into the night.
He noticed movement from the window of the house opposite his own. A figure of a girl appeared, holding a torch, and mirrored his actions, casting light back towards him. Their eyes met through the darkness, and a ear to ear smile spread across both their faces, a silent exchange of recognition and understanding in the quiet night. The girl was no other than Camilla. Camilla Martini.
It was a quiet night, and the two of them left their houses without making a sound. Hunter and Camilla closed their doors gently behind them and met each other under the moonlight on the street. They looked at each other while their faces lit up by the soft glow of the moon and sharing a moment of silent understanding in the peaceful night. They reached for their hands and Hunter and Camilla made their way to their special spot. They walked until they reached a place where a towering tree stood and its branches could be seen reaching out like the welcoming arms. Beneath the tree, there was a perfect space from where the entire city could be seen.
"This is my favorite spot. You can see the whole city from here." Hunter exclaimed while his voice was filled with warmth as both of them gazed out at the twinkling lights below.
"Yes, It's beautiful but we come here on purpose, Hunter." Camilla said while turning to look at him.
Hunter was dressed in a thick wool coat and its collar was turned up against the chill of the winter night. Beneath the coat, he wore a simple sweater and jeans, practical attire. Camilla, too, was bundled up against the cold as she was wearing a cozy scarf and gloves to ward off the winter chill. Her long coat hugged her slender frame, and she wore a knit hat pulled low over her ears.
"I remember it, Monkey. We are here to become brave and responsible like our fathers." Hunter said with a playful grin while his eyes were shining towards her.
"I am not a monkey. You are." Camilla replied with a hint of laughter in her voice as she playfully nudged him.
"Do you trust me, Cam?" Hunter's tone was earnest while his gaze was locking with hers as he searched for reassurance.
"I do, Hunter." Camilla responded softly while her expression was reflecting her unwavering faith in him as she met his gaze with sincerity.
"Look. the tower's light has turned red." Hunter said in a hushed tone and pointed with his finger towards the direction of tower while his eyes were scanning the surroundings intently. Camilla's attention shifted to the tower. She squinted slightly while trying to make out the red light against the night sky.
On the other side of the city, the following night was quiet as usual, with only the distant sounds of the city filtering through the darkness. In a secluded alleyway, a car sat parked and its engine humming softly as two men waited inside. They were Hunter's father, Leonardo Rossi, and Camilla's father, Angelo Martini. They were on a mission as their faces were set in determined expressions.
The car they were in was like any other sedan, inconspicuous and unremarkable was blending into the shadows of the alley. Its sleek exterior gave no hint of the person waiting for the right time, within its confines.
Leonardo Rossi, the Chief of RAW, sat in the driver's seat while his rugged features could be seen as sharp with precision by years of experience in the following field. His dark eyes flickered with anticipation as he waited for the night's work. Beside him, Angelo could be seen exuding a quiet intensity while his gaze was seen disturbed.
Both men were dressed for the occasion, wearing practical yet smart attire suited to their line of work. Leonardo had wore a dark jacket over a button-up shirt, while Angelo was sported a track suit.
"Focus, brother stay focussed." Leonardo said as he glanced at Angelo while his expression was serious. "This is it, Angelo. Tonight, we bring down Moretti for good."
Angelo nodded while his jaw was set with determination. "We have been planning this for months. It's time to end his reign of terror." As they waited in the car, tension hung heavy in the air, their anticipation palpable.
"Remember, we stick to the plan," Leonardo reminded while his voice was firm with resolve.
Angelo nodded again, his gaze fixed ahead. "I know what's at stake, Leonardo. We can not afford any mistakes."
All of a sudden, the silence was broken by the crackle of their radio and signaling the start of their operation as Leonardo spoke, "The moment, the light on the tower turns red we will get in."
Leonardo's grip tightened on the steering wheel as he glanced at Angelo. "Let's do this, Angelo. For our families." Angelo met his gaze, a silent agreement passing between them as they prepared to face whatever awaited them.
Leonardo and Angelo quickly stepped out of the car while their guns were in their hands ready for the action. Both of them nodded while looking towards each other as they moved swiftly and took cover behind nearby walls opposite of each other. Their eyes met briefly again and exchanged a silent agreement. Few of the police men walked further and hide again behind the pillars. With a nod, they signaled their readiness.
The warehouse was big, with tall shelves and crates all around. It was adequately lighted and spacious as well. Newspapers were scattered on the floor, and there was a truck parked in a corner while its engine was silent and waiting for its next assignment. Some guys were moving crates here and there, talking quietly. Their voices were hushed in a rush. Outside, it was quiet, just the sound of distant traffic but inside, you could feel the tension.
Leonardo and Angelo glanced at each other once more as they conveyed their determination and then, with a shared resolve, they gestured to the other officers, indicating it was time to act. Together, they launched their attack on Alessio's men. Their movements were precise while each and every step was calculated as they advanced. Every little noise seemed louder in the silence, making them more alert. Despite the danger, they remained focused, driven by their mission to arrest Alessio and dismantle his operation.
"Police! Hands up. Come on." Angelo screamed as he walked further.
Both of them raided the place while their eyes were scanning each and every corner for evidence. They approached the truck cautiously, but found it empty except for the newspaper crates meant for morning delivery.
"Damn it. The intel could not be wrong, though." Leonardo said as he sighed in frustration, while his brows were seen furrowing in tension.
"Wait, does anyone have a scalpel?" Angelo asked while his mind raced while searching for a solution to the situation that has been unfolded in front of them.
"I do, but why?" One of the officers nodded and handed him a scalpel, curious about Angelo's plan.
"I think, I know where the drugs are kept." Angelo spoke while his expression was seen to be hardened as he took the scalpel and with steady hands, he sliced open a stack of newspapers, revealing hidden packets of drugs zipped inside.
Leonardo's eyes widened in realization, an ear to ear grin could be seen spreading across his face as he exclaimed in excitment looked towards Angelo, "Well, they sure have brains. Luke, start recording. We have hit the jackpot."
Luke nodded and pulled out his camera to document the scene as he affirmed, "Got it, boss."
As the evidence hidden within the newspaper crates found, the workers in the warehouse could be seen freezing in fear while their hands were shooting up in surrender. Their eyes widened with shock and fear as they realized they were caught in the non bailable act.
Angelo glanced at the workers while his expression was firm and spoke, "Don't you dare to make any sudden moves." He warned them, while his voice was heard as a commanding authority.
Leonardo also kept a close eye on the workers while ensuring that they complied with their instructions. "Stay where you are," He commanded while his tone was leaving no room for defiance.
The workers exchanged nervous glances, their faces were pale with apprehension as they realized the severity of the situation. They knew they were caught red-handed, and there was no escaping the consequences of their involvement in Alessio Moretti's criminal activities.
Angelo motioned for Luke to keep recording, cap, turing each and every detail of the scene as evidence against Alessio and his buisness partners. "Make sure we have everything documented," He instructed while his voice was steady despite the tension in the air.
Leonardo's eyes gleamed with determination as he continued searching through the crates. "We need to make sure we have every piece of evidence."
Luke nodded while his jaw was set in determination. "We won't let Alessio get away with this, Boss."
Angelo carefully collected the drugs while making sure not to disturb any potential fingerprints. "We have got him now."
Leonardo's expression was grim as he was surveying the scene. He remained vigilant while his gaze was sweeping over the warehouse to ensure they had not missed anything crucial and ordered, "Let's wrap this up quickly and move forward."
After few more minutes, He wasted no time while his voice was firm and commanding as he rallied their team. "Alright, everyone, move forward. We need to find Alessio Moretti."
The officers nodded in agreement while their expressions were steely with determination. They moved forward in unison and ready to catch the notorious drug lord. Angelo's gaze was sharp as he scanned the surroundings while his hand was steady on his gun. "Stay alert, everyone and move with precision."
The team pressed on while their footsteps were echoing in the empty warehouse. The tension in the air was palpable as they searched every nook and cranny while their senses were heightened for any sign of danger. All of a sudden, one of the officers spotted movement in the shadows. "Over there! I think I saw someone!"
Without hesitation, Leonardo signaled for the team to move in with their weapons at the ready. They advanced cautiously while their eyes were trained on the source of the movement. As they drew closer, Alessio Moretti emerged from the darkness with a defiant smirk on his face. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?"
