I step out of the door, with a big smile on my face.
People turn their as I walk by but I don’t even notice anymore.
It bothered me in the beginning, but as I realized they only pay attention to me because of how I look, I quickly learned to ignore the staring eyes.
I look at my reflection in a window. A pair of light brown eyes stair back at me. My hair is long and darkbrown, flowing down my back in loose natural curls. I'm not a model, but with my long legs and curves I could be if I wanted to. Wich I don't, because people often don't look further than your appearence.
Only my mother and my best friends look at me for who I am on the inside.
Oh, my best friends. They are everything but ordinary people. Incredibly wise for their age, incredibly talented and smart.
Especially Cameron, who's the son of the Alpha. He is long and goodlooking and has beautiful green eyes that... Nevermind. Cameron is already 19 but he didn't find his mate yet. I turn eightteen within two days and then I will shift and hopefully find my mate.
As I was saying I am on my way with a big smile on my face. Why am I smiling? Because I am going to sneak into Cameron's house to watch a movie.
With a quick pase I walk to the big mansion at the end of the street.
I sneek inside trough the back door and up to Cam's room on the second floor.
When I come in he gives me a quick hug. He already brought up the snack and we start watching the movie after we get comfy on his bed.
Way too soon the movie is finished and I have to get home to eat.
When I arrive home diner is already steaming on the table and my mom just comes out of the kitchen with a fresh can of water.
I sit on my place opposite to Baxter and wait for my turn to be served.
Baxter is chewing loudly and I try my best to focus on my plate and ignore him. It doesn't matter how hard I tried I can not sensor his loud chewing out. I can't understand what my mother sees in this pig sitting in front of me. Except that we have a bigger house to stay in because he has a good job, there are just no other benefits about this man. He is useless, as a man and a wolf.
I told my mother to leave him several times now, but she won't listen to me. At least if I get mated and leave, I don’t have to see him anymore
I finish my diner and tell my mother I'm going for a walk. Baxter tries to say something, but I have already closed the door in his face. Although I'm sure I will hear about that later, I dodn’t really care.
I run all the way to the mansion and I enter at the back door that Cam kindly left unlocked for me as always.
Being as quiet as possible not to wake the cute puppy Pandora I sneak up the stairs. I passed the paintings of the Alpha. A man with grey hair who radiates power. If he knew I am sneaking into his son's room, he would probably lock me up or ban me from the pack.
I knock our code on Cameron’s door and he openes it with a big smile.
Swiftly I step inside, just fast enough to turn around before he hugges me tightly. He gives me a quick hug but for some reason I hold onto him, wanting to keep him close wich makes no sense at all.
He gently loosens my arms and then takes a step back. He smiles, and then drags me to his bed.
I sit and he gives me a book. It has a red cover and is a few centimeters thick. I open it and immediately love it. The first page is a drawing of Pandora, laying in the sun. Al the other pages are filled up with drawings of everything in and around town.
I glace Cameron and catch him staring at me.
“Do I have something on my face?” I ask him concerned.
“N… no, it’s just. You are very beautiful when you’re interested.” I can’t believe my eyes when he blushes. He lookes so damn attractive. I lean towards him to make sure he is actually blushing, and my mind isn't playing tricks on me. I look into his eyes which are like emerald pools and my breath gets stuck. I smell his scent and a weird feeling flutters in my stomach. It overwhelms me and I feel myself being drawn to him until our noses almost touch.
