Les took Greg to meet with Shorty the next morning. While Greg was out of hearing range, behind the car, Les told Shorty to give the car a thorough checking over and to let him know the results. Shorty agreed and hooked the car up and took it to his shop.
Greg wanted to stop by his house, so Les took him by. He told him he had sent a cleaning crew in and had them clean out Erin’s room. “I’m glad you did it. I was dreading going back in there,” said Greg.
“I wanted to talk to you about your place. I would like to rent it from you and use it to extend Lilly flower fields and maybe add some room for more livestock. I would also like to rent the house and fix it up so, we can use it to house some more workers for the flower fields. I would pay the taxes and other bills that are outstanding.
