Lenore was lost and wasn't able to find the way out of the woods. She heard the sound of water dripping. She went in that direction and met a cave. At first, she did not want to go there, but she noticed that there was another side to the cave. It was more like a tunnel, so she gathered her strength and went inside. Only to be shocked, as the other side of it was a clear forest.: Just now it was covered with fog. Then how is it so clear on the other side? There was a small pond which was formed by the water dripping from large rocks. But where does the water come from? She took steps forward and noticed a bird which was struck had been in the tangled snake like wires of a tree. She went to it and rescued it.: What happened to you? How did you end up here? She looks around and finds little berries like fruits hanging from the same tree. Oh, so you must have got caught in here while trying to find food, poor thing. Wait, I will try to get them for you. The bird, full of dark thick feathers, watched her as she pulled the veins of the tree as hard as she could and gathered a good amount of berries in her scarf and placed them in front of the bird. The bird kept staring at her while she expected it to eat the fruit. Then she got up and got some water in her palms as she thought maybe it would be better if she gave the bird water first. She knelt and extended her hands forwards. The bird drank the water. She was happy that the bird drank the water, then it started eating the fruit too. Lenore noticed that the bird's leg was hurt.: Oh you poor thing, you must have hurt yourself when you got struck... She tore some fabric from her scarf and carefully tied it to the bird's leg. The bird didn't react to Lenore's actions and was quiet the whole time, unlike any other animals if they were contacted by humans this close. Lenore treated the bird with affection. It was getting darker so she said goodbye to the bird and turned back. It was a lot better compared to before. The fog had cleared a little so she started to try to find her way back home. She heard some footsteps coming towards her and got scared. She tried to be brave and asked who was there. Just then she got a clear view of the person. It was the same old woman from the coffee shop. The old woman got worried and asked her about what happened.: Oh dear you are still here, the sun has completely set and there isn't a soul here. Please don't tell me you lost your way. Actually, I got lost. The woman was still worried: Or had an animal attack you. Are you hurt here? Let me look. Lenore says that she is completely fine, and she just lost her way because of the fog. The old woman signs in relief and insists on taking her home, but Lenore says that it's fine and is also very dark and not safe for the old lady, but the old person doesn't listen and grabs Lenore's hand as she starts walking with a lamp in her other hand. I have lived in the woods. My entire life there is nothing I don't know I can go home just fine even in pitch darkness, but you, oh, I can't let you go just like that, not after you lost your way in the woods and wandered all alone like a lost puppy. I will take you back now, that is final. Lenore couldn't speak back, so she remained calm... They reached the old lady's shop. Then, Lenore stops and says that she can go back by herself now, and she should head back as it is dark, and her husband must be waiting for her. The woman tries to convince Lenore, but she tells her, that now she is here she knows the way very well and there are lights as well. The woman finally agrees and tells her to get home safely and visit her shop often. Lenore smiles and nods. They both start to walk to their destinations. As there were lights, Lenore was able to get to the town quickly. She sighed and walked home in relief. Everyone was worried and was waiting for her to show up. As she entered, they all went to her and started to ask her if she was alright while trying to see if she was hurt anywhere. Lenore tells them that it is fine and then explains to them everything. They had calmed down and told her to go wash up and eat something, then get a good rest. She does as they told her to. She lies on her bed and starts to feel lonely just like every day.: Huh, why do I feel this ay again? Why does this happen every day? God, please look after me. I don't want to be alone. She prays and reminds herself to be grateful and tries to sleep... Little did she know that she was actually being looked after at the very moment... [ Hmm...Pityfull] Who is that?
