King adebusui ordered his soldiers to get the Princess to his chamber and at her arrival she was permitted to eat and drink whatever she wanted before the day run out princess Ajoke was excited at what her father said and thanked him but later in the evening ajoke was put in between the pillars of the palace and the blocks were rebuild she cried in the darkness and after 5 days there was no sound from the pillars again. 9 months later it was said that a miracle happened as the Queen delivered a baby boy which everyone called the future of Ogun kingdom two hundred years to the present day ayomide was ready for the task as she and the four men walked down the street "Olu, tayo, oba, And Shoremi" ayomide called looking into their eyes "tell me something why does akande want the book so much because I think our lives is on the line" she said when tayo replied. "the government is willing to pay anybody that has the book of our ancestors heavily because they want to put it in the National Museum" " I see" Ayomide smile as different ideas went around her brain "then let's go get it" she's said excitedly as they walk into a large shop that was owned by kemi but they were stopped by it all muscular man that' stood by the door "what do you want" he asked shoremi spoke first "ahhh my man" he smiled "we come make we chillax small" the tall muscular man looked at ayomide from head to toe "with this small pickin" he addressed Ayomide. tayo spoke next "she no be pickin oh as you Dey see her small like this" the tall muscular man smiles "oya now make Una go sit down" he made way for them to follow as they work to an empty table where they sat down. Ayomide watched all the men in the shop holding guns and knife then she grunts "hmmn" she cleared her throat "so where is the book hidden?" Olu replied her looking at one of the room up the stairs "it's in kemi room" Ayomide was shocked "so you want me to go to that devil's room?" " we will keep an eye down here" Shoremi replied Ayomide Grunt" fine" she stood up and slowly walked up the stairs and into kemi's room but there was no one in the room. she was excited "lucky me" she smiled and began to look around for the book. mainwhile kemi who went out to buy food walked into his shop Olu saw him first as he alerted his friends "Kenny is here "he said looking at him Shoremi looked up the stairs" why is ayomide taking long" he asked " we need to delay him from going into his room" tayo replied when he saw Ayomide walking down the stairs but was stopped by a boy of about her age the boy stared that ayomide from head to toe "what were you doing up there" he asked examining her and she replied slowly smiling "well I... I... was looking for the bathroom but couldn't find it" the boy stared at her from head to toe again and notice she was hiding something behind her "what are you hiding" he asked when tayo who has been eavesdropping on their conversation interrupted "did you found the bathroom" he asked ayomide who replied "no I didn't " before staring at the boy once again "we can go now" she said to tayo as they walked away but the boy sighted the book behind her "what book is that" he asks himself Ayomide quickly walked out of the shop when she noticed that the four men were being interrogated by the tall muscular man "I don't think I should get myself involved in that mess..... am sorry Akande " she ran back home when her friend and partially half sister stopped her "where have you been" she asked "father has been looking for you" " ohhh again I'm in trouble.....what should I do morenike "she scoffed looking at the girl whose eyes as fallen on the book she was holding "What book is that?" ayomide hands over the book to her "take the book to the room I will meet Father she worked into the house where Mr Olubiyo was sitting in a couch "where have you been Ayomide" " well father I.... I was looking..." " for a side job again?"he cuts in as she nods " how many times should I tell you ayomide"he sighs " I can provide for this family you don't have to do all this" " I just wanted to help" she buried her face on her chest "sorry I won't do it again" " you always say that" he glared at her "you can go to your room and don't forget to ask your sister to make your breakfast" she smiles and walk to her room where she met her sister reading the book "what are you doing morenike" she snatched the book away from her morenike said excitedly "that's the book of history I had in the news that the government is willing to pay anyone that has the book the sum of 200 naira " her eyes glittered in excitement " with the help of this book we will be free from poverty have a good life" Ayomide realised what they could do with the help of the book " go to school" she said hopefully as they held each other's hand "and many more things they jumped in excitement" when morenike got hold of her excitement " but ayomide where did you get the book?" she asked Ayomide was thinking of what to do about akande when she heard her question " that's a long story"she said to her "I want to listen to the so called long story morenke" insisted "if that's your wish then I will tell you ... I stole the book" morenike's eyes turned wide in disbelief
