Kyle arrived at the cafe with her son. It was an open place, so they sat outside. Kyle searched her purse for some money. "Shoot! I forgot my money," she cried as she pulled out a small token. "I'm sorry, honey. This is all Mommy has," she continued softly.
But Roman, being a sweet child, took the token from her. "Don't worry, Mommy. It's enough," he said as he went to get an ice cream, the only thing they could afford at the moment.
Two minutes later, Roman returned with two ice creams. "Mommy, the nice ice cream lady gave me an extra one," he said with a bright smile.
Kyle's mood brightened upon seeing him. "Oh! That's so sweet. Did you say thank you?" she asked as she took one ice cream from him. They both sat there, chit-chatting and having a good time until Lila and Andrew arrived.
