Bella POV
We spent the day preparing for the battle. We built a camp close to the border- but we also set posts in the woods. They are strategic points from which we can see right away if they come.
I can still hear Violet's pleas to come. I would never let this happen, not until I breathe. She is not approaching the camp in any way. I spent the day with the others - I felt as if I was alone, I would lose my mind.
Kyle is trying to sound like he is in a good mood, joking about things. But I can tell Claire is worried as much as I am.
We set traps and build defenses. I checked my weapon just as Alex showed me. But my mind keeps drifting to what Maddison said.
