Bella POV
One of the kids runs to me and touches my dress, then she disappears as quickly as she showed up.
I turn to Alex, confused.
“What happened is a good omen, “ he says, “I guess. “
“You guess?”
“It’s never happened before. Come on, let’s dance.”
“Dance? Alex, why are you calm?”
“And why are you so worried? If you feel fine, everything is fine. Your powers are getting stronger, though. But we are here, so….”
He is right. I am overthinking. Everything is fine; the fire just reacted to my powers. And obviously everyone thought it was cool, so…
“You want to dance?” I ask.
“If it’s with you, why not?” Alex asks and leads me to the circle where the others are dancing.
“I feel like everyone is looking at us, "I whisper as Alex takes my hands and puts them on his shoulders.
