CHAPTER02

"Your sister needs urgent surgery ,they need 150k better send it or else she will be dead ",ooh and i need a refund on the fuel money i spend to see them.

These were the first words i heard when i woke up .

had met many heartless people in this cold world but none was closer to Hailey .

In her twisted mind she couldn't acknowledge that was her small sister too .

For crying out loud she was the first born ,so how did the roles reverse .

I staggered from my bed ready to book my flight back to Alaska, some body had to be present for my baby . But the reality dawned right before my eyes .If i went back we were all going to die of hunger Las Vegas was the only place i could make money and Hailey was the only person who could make it possible .It did not matter how and how much i had to pay her to make her stay in that hospital i was desperate enough to use my last coin .With that in mind i dialed her phone number once again.

"Maddie dont waste my time ,its pointless her back bone is broken"

"Which back bone Hailey?"It was really an uphill dealing with an illiterate person but the news shattered my heart more .

"That big bone at the back, the one that gives your body shape"

"Spinal cord Hailey ,"i had to silence her for my sanity ."What about mum?"

"Ooh the hag ,she rolled out of the car and used Summer as a human shield. She actually ran away from the hospital this morning".

My whole chest twisted in pain ,thoughts of of voluminous person using a small girl like shield haunted me . I knew our mum was selfish but this was a discovery . i paused to digest the whole situation.but Hailey was not having it.

"My boyfriend is calling I have to go "

"Hailey please ,stay in the hospital with her , i will send you 1500 by the end of the week please",i begged her.

This seemed to soften her but it was going to cost me a lot .

i quickly took a shower before heading outside for my first job.

Throughout the whole shift i couldn't help but be envious of families that dropped by.

The fact that some people had it easy just made me more jealous . i deserved to be happy like them .i was supposed to be seated on those chairs ordering my favorite food too but here i was not even able to afford heating for my damn shitty apartment .

Soon my shift was over and I was back to my apartment .

Tonight was not going to be like any other night . i was going to risk everything to raise enough money,and if worse came to worse i was going to take the dangerous route , drunk them and steal because i had nothing to lose .

i rampaged through my closet trying to find the skimpiest dress ever and to my absolute happiness, i found my little black champagne dress ,but it was supposed to come off at some point so i needed something sexier . Despite my financial situation, i always bought new clothes. It didn't matter if i went hungry, i would never allow myself to look like my problems .

My red lace lingerie sat at the bottom of my drawer still in the little bag it came in . i quickly unwrapped it and tried it on the mirror . i was a pretty girl ,that was one thing i never doubted . My long honey blonde hair and bright green eyes made me stand out most of the time but my hair had stayed in a tight bun for so long i had actually forgotten how it looked .

i undressed and tried on the lingerie , my long toned legs accentuated everything and not to toot my own horn. I was such a majestic woman ,i threw the dress over my head and i could stop blushing ,my titties really sat nicely on my chest peeking through my sheer dress .i strutted around the mirror severally before nodding my head in satisfaction , i was going to be the star tonight no doubt.

Then it hit me ,i couldn't really wear that with my normal shoes i needed heels and i did not have any ,neither could i borrow from anyone ,i needed to find a pair in an hour .

They were going to be expensive and i really hated that i had to spend my savings on that, but the little voice inside my head reminded me we were going to make a bank tonight .

I packed my dress in a bag and wore my regular jeans before heading outside. I was about to buy red bottoms tonight.
