BROKEN BONDS

`What's your problem dude?'asked Mason pissed from being shoved to the wall by Chad, the captain of the school's soccer ball team. He was a senior, with blue eyes, blonde hair and light skinned texture. He was 25yrs old with a hot cheek,Annabel. `Stay away from her, okay?, she doesn't need you! You're just a good for nothing scam bag who don't respect women. Who even hits a woman in the first place anyway? Let this be the first and the last time you ever laid hands on my sister again!' exclaimed Chad. Mason scoffed,`She had it coming,I didn't tell her to talk to another guy.' Chad punched him on the face and ended up in a heated argument. Mason pushed Chad towards the wall making him hit his head. `Oh my God!Chad,' Alexandra called out to her brother who was now bleeding heavily.` It's okay, you'll be alright.' Alexandra said as she helped him up and took him to the school's nurse, Jessica. As they were heading out, Mason could not help but smirk as they left. Mason was a student in Louis Clifford University in Georgia and was pursuing a course in Electrical engineering. Yes, he was smart but, a total baddie. He drunk, smoked and was also in a gang , The destructors. *** *** *** There was a knock on the door.` Who is it now,' Mason thought as he fumbled to g to get out of bed. He went down stairs and opened the front door. Before he could make out who the person was, he was slapped hard on the face sending him tumbling towards the ground.` Ouch, what the heck man?' There was no response, only silence flooded the atmosphere.`What you did to Chad was totally unacceptable.' said Alexandra, Chad's sister, his girlfriend. Mason got up with a grin on his face, clapping. He grabbed Alexandra by the neck and pushed her against the wall. `Sweetheart, don't you know that playing with fire is like messing with the the devil. You dared to hit me? You dared to mess with the devil,' his grip tighten`Let me go Mason, what's the matter with you?Why treat me nicely then and now act roughly towards me?' Alexandra said. He let her go. He grabbed the flower vase that was on the floor beside him and broke it. He then took a bottle of liquor from the wine cabinet and gulped it down. `Take it easy Mason.' Alexandra said. `Why do you care, going out and speaking to other guys that's practically cheating.' Mason said.`He was a college from work, he was asking me something related to the work we do, nothing else. You just had to butt in and make a decision you think vis right.' Alexandra said. Mason sat on his living room couch and lit a cigarette.`So, you expect me to believe that he's just a colleague from work?Do you think I'm stupid?' Mason exclaimed. Alexandra moved close to him and took the cigarette from his hand.`I know things have been slot lately, you lost your mom and dad in road crash just recently and you had a fight with my brother. I didn't cheat on you, it was just a misunderstanding you had on me' Alexandra said. Mason couldn't help but think of the sweetest moments they had together, how she treated him well despite the odds, how she was there with him during his parents burial ceremony holding him close to her but all he ever did was hit her and not give her attention. A tear ran down his face and Alexandra wiped it off.`Stay away from me Alex,' that was short for Alexandra.` I've hurt you alot, I never treat you right , am a mess. Ever since mom and dad died , I haven't been the same .I don't know what ,how,' He was having a panick attack. Alex came close to him and hugged him, he couldn't resist, he hugged back.`Its okay, come on, let's get you to bed you really need some rest.' Alex said as she escorted him to bed and before leaving, she kissed him goodnight.
