XVIII - Changes This year’s finals found Lori stronger and faster than the previous season. Her fears completely vanished, replaced by total confidence in her abilities. She easily won both of her races and improved her times, advancing Lori to the NCAA Finals in March. While Lori excelled at her swimming, she began to feel the pressure elsewhere in her life. She adjusted her workout schedule in preparation for March, but her schoolwork had become more challenging and she was having a difficult time keeping up with her classes. Eliminating all unnecessary social interaction had been easy, as Lori rarely spent time with anyone other than Cindy.
