He quickly rose to his feet, tempted to go upstairs and confront Lori that very instant. Sarah’s eyes grew wide and he decided not to react so quickly. Instead, he angrily paced along the side of the pool, eventually stopping to stare at the water. Jason crossed his arms and sighed again in total frustration. Lori could be so secretive when it came to her feelings, but Jason knew she hated to be alone. She had endured years of loneliness because of absent parents, and now it appeared to continue with an absent husband. Once again, guilt crept into Jason’s heart.
