James swallowed nervously, his eyes on Jason. “We’re gonna have a little chat on the way about how wonderfully you are going to treat Maria. And what will happen if you don’t!” Jason said threateningly. Jason came home the next day around noon. He had just enough time to shower and dress before running Lori to the church. He appeared a little rough around the edges and Lori refrained from asking about James’s condition this morning. Hopefully the groom could pull himself together by the time the ceremony began. Lori entered the dressing room at the church and felt the tension immediately. Maria’s mother was attempting to put her hair up instead of simply pulling it back from her face.
