Charlottes' POV Everything was finally working out. My life was so screwed up its about time something good happened. I finally got the promotion at work. Now it's nothing exciting so let's not get too excited but its better pay and I finally get to have the days off I want and I can now have a life outside of the bar. I havent even been here 6 months yet as I've not long ago turned 18. But the higher ups like what I do when I work and now they want me to show them more. So I will work my butt off and show them I'm the girl for the job. Sandra, sorry Sandy as she she tells everyone can b***h all she likes when she finds out tomorrow she had some sort of plans tonight and had to swap a shift. She doesn't work hard enough, yeah she makes good tips shoving her D cups in everyones face but that's not how you get the job done. Well not me anyway. Now its time to go home and tell Travis the good news. He always complains I work too much and that he never sees me. I pull out my phone to send him a text but i decide against it, I want to suprise him. He was expecting me to work all night but Dave gave me the rest of the night off to go celebrate. We don't live together but im at his place a lot. Its much nicer then my little 1 bedroom box apartment I live in. It was all I could afford. We've been dating for only 7 months, just before I started at the bar. He doesnt work, doesn't need to. His place was a gift by his parents for his 21st birthday. I wish I got something like that from my parents but I will never get a present again. Anyway that's another story. I have a spring in my step as I'm walking to get to his apartment, he only lives 15 minutes away. Im glad I can be excited about something. I think my parents would be proud of me. Well a little bit I hope. No I didn't study, no I didnt do well at school but with everything that happened I still graduated and I'm doing the best I can. I got back on the bike and maybe in the future I can study for a better life, plenty of time for that. I'm so caught up in my thoughts I don't see the man until he is hold my waist holding me up. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention. Thank you for catching me." I say while I try looking at him. He is wearing a hat a hoody and sunglasses. Who wears that this time of night. All I get back is a grunt and a nod. Ok then some strange people around here. I finally make it to Travis's apartment. I use my fob key to let myself in the apartment complex. He gave me one last month after saying he doesnt see me enough so I can let my self in then I have no excuse not to come over. His apartment is only on the 2rd floor so I take the stairs, 2 at a time. I can't wait to tell him I will have more time for him now and we can actually plan things. As I get to the top of the stairs on the 2nd floor I can hear music coming from the left I head to apartment 2D the music is coming from his apartment. Its some kind of Jazz music he doesnt normally listen to jazz he is more of an alternative rock kind of guy grew up on it from his parents. I unlock the door and close it behind me.
