🕯️ Scene 1: The Awakening
The rain pounded on the rooftop like drums of war.
Cold air kissed her bare shoulders. The silky wedding gown she wore clung to her skin, and when Amara opened her eyes — she was lying on a king-sized bed in a strange, candlelit room.
Gold walls. A grand mirror. A faint scent of lavender and blood.
Her head throbbed.
Her throat was dry.
She sat up… and didn’t recognize anything. Not the bed. Not the mansion. Not herself.
There was a knock at the door.
Then it creaked open.
A tall man with brown skin, sharp jaw, and piercing eyes walked in. He wore a black suit, no tie. In his hands was a small cup of tea.
“Amara…” he said softly, like a lover speaking to a fragile flower.
“You’re awake. You scared me.”
She stared at him. “Who are you?”
His smile faded just a little.
“I’m Jason,” he said. “Your husband.”

🥀 Scene 2: The Confusion
Amara blinked. “My what?”
“You passed out after the wedding,” Jason said gently. “Doctor says it’s stress-induced amnesia. You’ll remember soon. Just rest.”
But her instincts screamed.
Something was off.
She looked around again — and this time, she saw the little glass on the bedside table. Cracked. Blood on the edge.
“Where’s my phone?” she asked.
Jason hesitated. “It’s… gone. But I’ll get you a new one.”
She looked down at her hands. A faint bruise around her wrist.
And then… a child’s voice echoed faintly from the hallway.
> “Mama… don’t forget me…”
Amara froze.
“Did you hear that?” she asked.
“Hear what?” Jason’s eyes were too calm.

In a small dark office across the city, Detective Rena Cole clicked through missing persons files.
One caught her eye.
Amara Blake. 26. Disappeared last week after her twin sister Maya was declared dead.
Then she got a new tip-off on her phone.
An anonymous message:
> “The bride isn’t missing. She’s trapped… in plain sight.”
Rena grabbed her coat.
“I’m coming for you,” she whispered.

Suddenly, a hand grabbed her from behind.
“Where are you going?” Jason whispered behind her ear.
His voice was soft.
But his grip was tight.
