Selene had looked for it there on her third visit, working through the wooden flat boxes on the lowest shelf with the careful handling Damien had instructed, and had found census records and territorial documents and one box that contained nothing but hand drawn maps of the pack's border expansions over four centuries, which she had spent an hour with before remembering what she had come in for.

He had looked at her with the assessing gaze and said, "The current registry is in the war room. The historical registries are in the library. Third shelf from the bottom on the east wall. Brown binding, gold lettering."
