I'm staring down the barrel of my foster father's gun, the third gun I've seen today. This isn't how I wanted to die, especially not after barely surviving the nuns' beating.
Leandro steps in and says, “Father, Anna just needs a few days to accept the reality of her situation. It's not easy to go from an orphanage to an arranged marriage as part of a mafia family. She's only been part of this kind of world for two days.”
