CHAPTER FOUR BethThe Daor mountains reached up high, tickling the clouds. Snow covered their ragged peaks, glittering in the afternoon sun. A flock of bright blue birds were shadowing our shuttle, cawing so loudly that we could hear it even through the thick walls. “Almost there,” Ghorr announced and pointed to one of the smaller mountains to our right. “My estate is at the foot of Dun Beag. I’m glad it’s such a beautiful day. You get to appreciate the Daor mountains in all their glory.” He smiled at me. He probably wasn’t aware that he was rubbing his right antenna again.
