CHAPTER THREE
CyleMy commstick’s irritating ringtone woke me. It took me a moment to realise where I was. Not my home. I’d slept at the lab again. This was becoming a bad habit again. The trip to Peritus had ripped me out of my routine and I thought that finding compatible females would be enough to stop me from overworking myself.
I’d been wrong.
The commstick vibrated again. Sgidding thing. I sighed and answered the call without looking at the holo display.
“Yes?”
“You sound awful, brother.” It was Thorrn. My i***t brother who’d somehow managed to get a mate before anyone else.
“Why are you calling me this early?”
Thorrn chuckled. “It’s not early. You’ve slept in. And you might want to look at the video I sent. You missed a whole lot of fun at the welcome ceremony last night.”
