CHAPTER TWELVE JennyHis house reminded me of the spaceship. It had a large round common room in the centre, with other rooms arranged around it in a circle. A donut of rooms with lots of free space in the middle. The roof was a dome of shimmering glass. It was all one continuous piece of glass, no joints or seams in sight, which made it very obvious that this house wasn't on Earth. Above us, a large sun shone high in the sky. It was maybe twice as big as the sun I was used to and I thought I could almost see it move. I didn't know much about physics, so maybe it really was faster than ours, or this planet rotated faster? I had no idea. "Is it safe for me outside? Can I breathe the air?" Thorrn nodded. "The scientists have reassured me that the atmosphere is similar to your Peritan air.
