Chapter 52

"Blood.... blood." The chief of the vampires started mumbling to himself, and only these words over and over again. He was panicking at the moment and that was only because he wasn't getting anything that could keep him healthy or alive. He had run way so far, leaving his people behind with his enemies, not once thinking about them and now he too was suffering. Even more, the pain had started to consume him almost immediately. It felt as if there was nothing much that was left of him at all, but he was dying for sure. Suffering in all it's grace. He sat by the edge of a cliff and his back against a tree. He had started to go grey at the moment, losing blood and not getting anything more to consume. How ever, the burn on him had started to spread over to his neck and his body started to go black in colour. He was dying, knowing nothing and no one could help him. How ever, some thing did in fact happen and suddenly he heard a noise coming from some where. He was alert now, but the man was too tired to even open his eyes. How ever, he did exactly that, wanting to survive through this and live. But now the noise started to get much more bigger and faster. Quickly he woke himself up, forcing his body to sit straight and now holding the daggar forward with an intermediate look on his face. "Don't even think about it. I will have to kill you before that and it will be very painful for you." Isaac said, walking up. "I am not afraid of a wolf, " "And is that why you are running away from an entire Kingdom ?. It does not seem very brave of you." He said, taunting him had. "Back away from me wolf.." He said trying to fight back, but Isaac just stood there, watching him and it was very painful because it was embarrassing as well. "Can I have this please?" he asked, looking at the dagger in his hands. "I said, back off .." He said to him. And Issac smiled at him. "That is not what I was trying to say, but can I have this please?" he asked yet again. "BAKC OFFFFFFFFF.." The man screams, he sat there, mad now. This was it for Issac though. He was now sitting down in front of the man, as he backed away. Issac was scaring him, even more. "I am not going to hurt you. I need much more from you but let me take this." He said kindly. Now taking the daggar from him, holding it steady in his hands. Looking at what it was now. "You have witches curse this. You have witches with you. I have never seen vampires with a witch before."Issac said, as the man was still in pain, suffering hard. "There is a lot you haven't seen. And a lot that is in that Kingdom as well." He said, making Issac nod his head. "That I saw was shocking for sure. I can understand. But you are not going to die. You are very handy to us." Issac let him know, confusing him. "Us??" "Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm..." "How can I trust." He said, And issac stared at him. "I should say how can you trust your own kind. You left your own people, you betrayed them, not me." He said, giving him the harsh reality and as painful as it was. "You seem to be dying." Issac said, slowly getting up. "Let me get you some thing to drink.." He said surprising the man. He seemed stunned and felt so much more alive at that thought. Staring at the wolf. "You want to help me?" he asked. "Of course I do, in many ways we both have the same intention. Kill the people we want to, and who betrayed us. Isn't it?" He asked and at that moment he did not understand Issac, but understood his motives. "Blood....." He said to him, wanting some. "Of course. You love humans the most isn't it?" He said,, smiling and walking away from there, getting him the human that he deserved at the moment. But he walked away with the daggar with him. He needed that more than the man. ...................................................................................................................................................................................................... The king, on the other hand, he was making his way towards the dungeon, walking away from there and up to the guards that stood watching from every corner. "Open the gates..." He said, as at this moment he was deep into a forest. Quickly the guard moved away from his space and grabbed a chain that was in between a lot of dead leaves. Immediately the chain that was so thick grabbed it and just pulling as hard as he could. And quickly a very large underground door open upwards. Stairs going down and the noise got very loud, echoing through out the forest. Without saying a word, the King walked inside and his foot steps getting harsher in that long and dark hall. There were vampire every where and cages around them, holding many many vampires. How ever, most of the vampire were not in the situation or had no strength to fight back. How ever, he was looking around the place, trying to find a younger boy. Although. as most of them were older, he walked through many cages, glancing at every one. But he did not find the boy there either. Until he came to the last cage. There he saw a smaller group in this one, but there he saw a young boy sitting in the corner. He was unharmed, and there was no blood on him. He had not fought. "Get him out.." Barka said to the guard who was right outside the door. Quickly he opened up the locks and pushed in the door, opening and surprising everyone. The boy was so scared and it was clearly seen on his face. How ever, the large guard had started to walk up to him. "I did not do it." He said, even more scared. "I didn't do anything......... please . I didn't.." He said, while he was being dragged outside. The king walked out, making his way up the stairs, while the boy was still screaming and begging to be let go. Once outside, he quickly let go off the boy who was very much taken a back and the king on the other hand, stood there, watching him while he was so frightened. Looking every where "Don't try to run, it won't end well for you." That was all that Barka had to say to him. How ever the boy nodded his head, scared. "I didn't hurt any one." He begged. "I know and why not?" He asked. "Bec.........because I didn't want to." He said, honestly. "Were you trained to come here and why was she attack ?" Tell me every thing." Barka said. The boy was so scared that it was difficult for him to open his mouth, but never the less, he did. "We were supposed to have an alliance with the king, but she stopped the alliance. She is the reason we wouldn't have weapons, so we would have to join her Kingdom. A lot of people agreed but our chief did not. He thought this was not the right way and he did not want to go down to her rule." He said, while Barka stood there listening . "She had to sign, but before she could sign the plan was to kill her. If her signature wouldn't be there, this would not have happened. But she survived and I don't know what happened to him, he just got much more angry and started creating this scenes in his mind.. He got frustrated and scared that every one were coming for him now. He know he was going to die in the kings hand, so he took us all and when some where else. Wanting revenge on the Princess. But we did not want any of this." He explained and Barka listened well. "He left you, you realise that right?" The king said, and the boy eventually nodded his head. Somehow like he knew that could be possible. "Most of us did not want to hurt her, but if we went back home, our families will be killed. There are people waiting for us. We were forced into this and yes, we kill her or watch them die ." He said literally shaking. Barka nodded his head. "Come with me.." The king said to him, surprising him as he followed. But not understanding where he was going. "Why?" He asked. "You have to get them some drink, some blood. I know someone who can bring you some." Barka said, and the boy did not see this coming. So much so that he thought the king was joking. But clearly, he could understand that the king did not joke. He didn't think it was in him to joke at all, and so he followed. Hoping that they in fact, did get some blood. He was thirsty and so where his people, all dying there. .................................................................................................................................................................................... It started to get darker very soon and people all over the Kingdom had been so busy over the day, that most of them completely forgot or let go of the fact that the day was going back so fast. None of them noticed that and neither did their queen herself. Since the morning she has been in her room and it was not because she did not want to go out. Yesterday was a lot for her and she had so much in her mind. Evi was afraid that she would start glowing yet again if she went outside. That was really a fear she was having. Something that she had to be worried about now. New fear unlocked. How ever, at this moment, Evi was out at the balcony with multiple books spread all around and all of them ancient books that she asked Nori to bring for her. She was skimming through everything and was trying to find any sort of information as to what happened to her last night. What really was all this and what was pure blood. She was in full concentration and went on many things to find answers. She did find a few script here and there but that wasn't all that detailed and needless to say, it was very frustrating. She wanted answers and that was not a lot to ask for. But never the less, she continued on completely, forgetting the world around her. Right at that moment, the doors of her bedroom opened up bringing her back to reality and that is when she saw her mate walking in all his glory. Once she raised her head up, is when she realised the night had fallen and this was confusing her, making her look at her surroundings weird. "Is every thing okay?" Barka questioned her, walking after the balcony and looking at the distress she was in. But quickly his mind diverted as he looked at what she was doing. There were numbers of books there and some that in the corner, while some on the floor and some on the swing chair, while at the same time, some on the table. "What are you doing out here?" He asked. "I was trying to find some thing about the pure blood.." She said and he was about to open his mouth but quickly look at him. "I was not trying to create any problems, just getting back to work." She said, making him smile at her and nodded his head.. This was new to her, but she like this side of the King. "And what did you find?" He asked, smiling softly and walking closer, standing behind her. "Nothing.." She said, irritated now. "Not much of anything actually. I already know most of the things, because I went through them all. Some of the things I experience are not even written here. I don't even know what I am looking for." She said, frustration growing on her. "So that was not much helpful here?" He asked, and she shook her head. "The entire library could be here Barka, and I still couldn't find the answer." She said, very much upset by the reality. He then slowly bent down, getting closer to her face from behind. But it was not that he was trying to, he was simply having an attempt of reading something that got his attention. How ever, it wasn't the same for her. She was completed taken a back and slightly shifting in her state. Moreover when she felt his heated body close to her. She quickly looked at his direction, staring at his face and taking in every detail that he had on him. His lips, his eyes. Every thing got her attention now, and it was just strange as her heart started to beat fatly yet again. This has been very nice over the time, something that constancy happened and she had no control over it. This was difficult and she was really trying. "What are you doing" She asked, curious. "I am sure we can find some thing that can help you. If not here, we always can have Misi. She knew one more pure blood from your own family tree. You can ask her if you want to." He sujjested, looking at her. "Of course, right... She said as her eyes went wide open in shock. She simply couldn't understand how she could have missed such an important thought. "I completely forgot about her." She said, stunned. "I can understand...." He said, slowly backing away from Evi, and she immediately stood up, getting up and ready. "Where are you going?" He asked, as she started to close all of her books. "To meet Misi..." She let out, happy now. "You want to talk to her right now. I don't think this is the right time for it Evelet." Barka said, stopping her but she did not understand why. "I think this is the best time for it." She muttered. "She will be resting and she has been through a lot since yesterday Evele. May be you should go to her at an appropriate time" He said, giving her a shocker. But that was something she could understand. "This is late, isn't it.." She said, looking at the light around her. "Yes, I can understand this has put your through a lot of pressure, but you should also rest for now." He said and she rolled her eyes. That is the only thing I hear from here." "That is the only thing I want from you Evi." He said, smiling. "Every one is having dinner now," He said. "Did you?" She asked. "No, we still had time. I think we should join the family for dinner." He said to her and hunger started to show the moment he mentioned it. "Okay, I am very hungry by the way." She said walking into the room, making her way towards the doors as he followed right behind but his eyes quickly landed on the box of sweets that was now completely empty, as it sat there open on the table, right next to the bed. "You ate the whole thing and you are still hungry?" He asked, loud enough. "I don't want to talk about it." She said completely discarding this situation and not wanting to continue as she made her way out of the room and he couldn't help but smile to himself. But slowly walked behind her. By now Barka had come to understand the kind of hunger that she was constantly consumed by, and it was very new to him but no longer surprising to the King. Both of them quickly made their way towards the dinning room, as the doors opened. She was the first one to walk in and the Kings followed right behind. The queen mother, was surprised to see them and the excitement was stuck to her face. My children, everyone is here." She said and there Evi saw Nori, Genie and her husband and even Robert was there. Evi was surprised to see him out. She turned quickly around to her mate. "What did you do?" She asked. "You were right. I thought I should pull him out of there... He has served his time, I think it was enough and more over, his army needs him." Barka let her know, and all she could do was stare at him. "I am starting to understand that you are a nice person, but after seeing an evil side of your. It is getting difficult for me to grasp on to this reality." She let out, while the king understood that she was insulting him, but the way she put it all was entertaining enough for him to keep quite. Immediately Evi walked away as the king made his way towards the head of the table and Evi was to sit right next to him. But he pulled out the chair for her while she sat down happy that he was being so kind to her. He then sat down quickly as the food started pouring in. "This is nice." Nori said, looking at the people around her, happier than ever. "It's been very long since as also gather as family, and now her having dinner." The queen mother let out. Pouring out her pain and happiness at the same time. It was not easy for her to eat without her family, but this was a amazing. Now that the king also has his queen, our Queen the family is complete. What more could we want?" She asked, happier than ever to see them both of them together. More over happy that she was not leaving him and he was not kicking her out. That possibility scared her more than it should have. It was terrifying. How ever, Barka, on the other hand, he glanced at his queen and now watching her as she went on eating like a mad man, even though, normally she always had such etiquette when she ate, but right now nobody really cared, not even the King . He was more than happy that she was eating. And after what she had done, he could understand the amount of hunger her body had built up, and her over thinking was always on the next level. It was nothing new to Barka, he just wanted her to eat. How ever, she had almost finished up her meat, but before she could even take one, he moved his hand forward, pushing the plate closer to her, so that she could take one more or as much as she wanted. At that moment the king had completely forgotten that he was at the dinner table as well, his eyes only making sure that she got everything she wanted and that she was healthy, she was eating well. He didn't even realising that he was doing this, but the queen mother was there and she saw everything right in front of her eyes.. Very clearly nobody could hide from her and nobody should. It was one of the most beautiful sites to see. Her grandson giving someone else a chance in life, something she would have never expected of him before.
