Chapter 54

3811 Words
Slowly the king opened his eyes, as the light of the morning hit him hard. The light did not bother him and he was not too deep into his sleep, but what ever he had experienced the entire night was beautiful. He was very relaxed the entire time, never waking up in the middle of the night and so it did not bother him now. Although, he did feel something very warm on his left side of his body, slowly he looked away from the ceiling and down to his left to see it was Evi, she was in her side of the bed and all curled up into the small cocoon, sleeping right next his chest and her head hiding in between there some where. Evi's hair covered all over her face and she was in a deep sleep. His smiled to himself and glanced to see her first thing in the morning, before anyone else he saw. Needless to say his eyes were waiting to see her again as he opened them. Slowly he started to move her hair away from her face, now completely dried her hair were. Although, that sudden touch that he had on her caused her to start moving and shifting away from there. "No.... it's mine...... Mine..." "Go.." She let out a few words here and there, but Evi quickly moved away from him, going back to her place on her bed, but her face stay on his direction, making it easier for him to watch her as she was. Take it all in. There was some kind of peace in him now, that he held inside of him and all at her sight of her. No idea what this magic was, but when he was with her, things changed for him. She was very powerful in whatever she was doing, and now captive him.. He was actually understanding the power of a mate this time. Barka then pushed his body up, leaning over her. Softly Barka touched her cheeks with his finger, slowly casing down. She was soft, very soft and her lips pouting as she slept. Barka couldn't help but smile to himself, already feeling the best as even. Although there was so much that the day would bring him, there was a lot going on in the Kingdom and in his mind, some of it he was ready for and some of it would be a lot to handle. But she still made things better for him. He did not want to leave, his breath getting heavy on him. But unfortunately, he had to. "Huuuuuh......." Barka huffed, quickly as he stood up, getting out of the bed and understanding that Evi did not want to get up this early. He did not want to wake her up either.. Barka then walked to her side of the bed, seeing how the by all of her extreme movements from last night, her covers had fallen off. Most of the cover was laying on the ground. He shook his head and it up. Put it on her yet again, keeping her warm. Letting out a small breath yet again, she looked so innocent to the King. But he knew her very well, she was very sharp, strong. However, as of now, at this moment when Evi was not back answering him, fighting back or putting herself in trouble, she looked very innocent to him. Something that should be protected and he would, at anycost. KNOCK KNOCK Instantly, the King was brought out from his beautiful dream that was now his reality, and the smile on his face quickly disappeared as he stood back, turning at the door. And now anger pouring on his face as he walked away, leaving Evi there all alone and he made his way to the door. Immediately he opened the door, walking out of the room as Santos stood there with a strange expression on his face. "What is it? what happened?" He asked with a strict look stuck to Barka's face. "I have already called for king Saraam. He is on his way. But what about the vampires we capture? do we get them ready?" Santo asked,, worried now. "Not yet, everything will be settled down when he gets here. Not until then. Keep them all under observation and even the one who are recovering." The King let out know, as Santo nodded, understanding all of it. "Of course," He muttered, slowly Santo looking at the closed doors behind his King. "What about the Queen? Is she okay?. Does she need anything?" Santo asked, and Barka shook his head. "Don't worry about her," He let out, making Santo chuckle. "It is a bit hard not to worry about her, we all saw what happened and everyone in the Kingdom had made sure to keep this a secret from the world. But what about the vampires Barka? They have seen too much." He said, giving him an exact problem that they could be facing in the future. Barka knew that already and he was still thinking about it all. "If Saraam takes them all in, they will be under his alliance and every secret will have to be kept. You don't have to worry about that either. Trust me." Barak said to him, trying to make him understand that everything was eventually going to be okay. And it would work out for them as well. But Barka knew that he had all the right to feel this way, more over when it came to his Queen. "You go down, I will be there in sometime." He said, making Santo walk. "And call up the elders as well," Barka let out, making him turned around to face the King. "I think everyone should be present before he comes. They all might be necessary ." Barka explained and Santo quickly noted his head turning around and walking away from there. At this moment, the king understood that from here on, the difficulties for this Kingdom would start. No longer would this Kingdom go as smoothly as it did before. They would have to find a routine and a normal life from now on and that was going to be a challenge. He was very well aware of it and okay with this too. But he simply did not want Evelet to suffer. Completely understanding that it also going to be a part of her life from now on. She couldn't run away from it and he couldn't hide her from the reality she was born with. But he would be here for her. "How far are we to go?" The chief of the vampires asked Isaac, while he was still holding on to his stomach, the man was still in a bit of pain. While Isaac continued to drive the car. And now driving through and into a different part of the forest. "Why?" Issac said, smirking. "Sitting quietly must be very exhausting. Isn't it?" He said.Taunting him. But the man seem tied now, angry even. "We have been sitting for hours, the pain won't go away." The man said, and Issac smiled now. "What kind of Vampire are you?' He asked. "It is not that I can not heal, it's that, was it did to me. It's something that I don't understand." He said, sitting up straight and still in much of pain. "But the blood must have helped?" Issac asked, making the man nod his head. "It did something for sure." He whispered. How ever his wait did not take that much longer, because as the car started to drive through a single path, the man could hear civilization, massive civilization. Issac, on the other hand, he drove the car for the towards these enormous looking giant gates, and even before the car got there, the gates were opening upwards. This was the very first time that a vampire chief was inside of a werewolf civilisation. But he had no fear at the moment. Nothing could match the power he had seen in that Kingdom, with the Queen. But yet as the car drove inside, he was seeing more and more of strange things around. But extremely well manner Army was being create and soldiers every where. Warriors, weapons every where. This was like a kingdom in itself, although, slightly smaller. "What is going on here?" He asked, looking around. "Work for the future." Issac said, making the man turned to him "You are not an Alpha, are you?' The chief said and now Issac smirking at the man right next time. "You should not try to provoke someone who is helping here." Issac said, stopping the car right in front of a large building. Immediately stepping out. How ever, the chief on the other hand, he sat there, looking right, still stunned by this place. However, right ahead of him, he saw, as the doors opened up. And there he saw a man walk out. Although his way of walking and through his air, the Man could understand that this man was an Alpha. The intimidation was too real and he too slowly pushed the door open, stepping out of the car. Only to see people spread all around. He was intimidated as of now, but still he walked up to Arth. "Please let us welcome you to my pack.." Arth said, walking down a few stairs and getting to him. He was shaken up though. "Do not be afraid of the numbers that you are surrounded with. I have seen the king make alliance with the vampires before, and now I think it's time that I learn something from Barka, for once." Arth said, smiling in the most sinister way possible. But at that moment, Arth did not seem that different from the man he was. Whatever this situation was,, he knew he would be safe here from the vampire king and even from the king whose Kingdom he went to destroy. This place seemed safer. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................... The entire castle seemed a bit too quiet and this got Evi a little suspicious as to what could have happened. Immediately Evi started to make her way down the stairs, and out towards the back door. Understanding that there might be some people out. Evi could hear them and quickly she pushed the doors open and walked outside only to see Nori was standing there and right next to Anya. Immediately Evi had a smile on her face, she was very happy to see this girl outside of that room and no longer suffering. Slowly she started to walk down the stairs and towards the grass. Anya too turned almost immediately, she could smell the Queen's scent. She could feel her presence with her. Immediately as she turned, giving the queen are the largest smile that she was holding from her ear to ear, mirroring the same thing.. Right the Anya rushed towards the Queen, came out of nowhere. But Anya hugged her tight, wrapping her arms around and it was needless to say she wasn't expecting that. "Ohhhh........." "Are you okay now?" Evi asked. "Much better, so much better." Anya said, hearing her voice clearly and the cheer in this as well. This time Evi could recognise the voice from the one she heard while Anya was asleep. "You saved my life.." Anya said, holding on to her hands tight in her cold one. "I cannot thank you enough." She let out. "You don't have to.." "I do. I really do. You could hear me this entire time?" Anya said, her eyes shining now. "But I don't know how you could. Of course, now we all have answers to that, but at that moment, at all those times when I was screaming for someone and everyone was right there. I understood that there was no help. I understood what it felt to feel like there would be no coming for you." She said, still scared to talk about it, and Evi looked away almost immediately for some time. "I was scared.." Anya let out, and now her voice started to shake. While she was explaining Evi her pain. For everyone it was difficult to hear as well, nothing about this conversation was easy for anyone there and right at the moment, Nori too got closer towards the girls. "How are you doing ?" Nori asked the queen, making her smile. "So much better." She said, simply words used, but there was so much more to this and even Nori knew it. "I really want to freak out Evi, when I saw you at that moment. But you are my best friend, so I am going to pretend like I have always known this and move on. I know you don't have answers yourself and I am not going to question." She said, being honest and Evi was stunned yet not surprised at all. "But there was definitely an instruction given to me by your mate." Noori let out, confusing Evi. And frown falling on the queen's face. "What instruction?" She asked, confused. "He told me that you have to walk around, and this is something Misi told him." She explained, making Evi roll her eyas and Anya, smiled at her. She like this bond that her brother and the Queen had. He cared for her and Anya knew it all this time. "So come on, lets for a walk and you can talk while walking." Nori let out, and she couldn't help but think it was a brilliant idea. She wanted to move as much as she could. Resting was only making it difficult for her. It would help her divert her mind, she knew it. "Wonderful.." She muttered and the girls started to walk out of the castle, and now moving around the kingdom. This time needless to say the people were more than happy to see their queen doing much better and most of them smiled at her, bowing down to her and giving her the respect that she deserves. But of course they all went on with their work and Evi was facts so happy to be with them, with her own people. They could see that as well and even Anya and Nori did. "Do you feel any pain now? you were in a lot of pain before." Evi asked Anya, as they slowed down and Anya shook her head. "Not really, not now at this moment. I can't even remember that it was unbearable back then." She let out and Evi understood clearly. "I still remember when I came here, my eyes might be shut but I knew everything and I heard everyone. I recognised every one except for you." She said, looking right at the Queen. "The moment I got into this boundaries, some thing very warm fell on me and I had felt like that for so long." She said, as both of them were listening very carefully to Anya. "I knew there was no hope, and I thought, suddenly what could change when so many people couldn't make that change? But I was absolutely wrong. I felt you around me and that pain that I was in completely disappeared. I don't know where it went." She shrugged her shoulders, chuckling at that thought. "I could hear your voice and I just felt it. I knew that, if anyone could help me, it was you and it would be here." Anya told her everything but the Queen had no idea how to respond to it. She was stunned for sure, but uneasy. "But that day, that day you walked out of the room and I cried. I didn't even know how to call you, I didn't even know your name. I couldn't speak." She said telling Evi her honest story. Which was so hard and heart breaking. It was only Anya who knew how she felt and everyone else could only do one thing and listen to her. There was a big difference between all three of them here. "I don't know what happened, but one night you came to my room and I remembered you. Just like I did with everyone, I spoke with you too, very softy. But when I spoke to you, I was......." She paused, as every one stopped right there and the,. "I was not sure if you would listen to me. You could not and I knew it was my last attempt. I was going to make this one last time and rest, go even. And that was when you looked, and right at me. Like you understood me, you turned." She said, starting at the Queen, surprising all of them. "It was not a trick, you heard me very loud and clear and over and over again. First time, I had hope of coming back and you brought me back. I cannot thank you enough, nothing I do will be enough for what you have done." Anya confessed, giving her all the details that Evi did not even know and this was sad. "Don't say that." Evi whispered, and Anya shook her head. "You don't know what you have done." She said, holding on to her again and showing her the kind of help that she has done is life changing for her. Her life was here with her. Evi had many challenges yes. But this one, this one was different. She had no idea what to say to Anya and so she stayed there, quiet. Not saying any thing. "And I know none of this is easy for you either. We all are trying to understand you, and you will understand your power too. Just give it some time." Anya said to her, giving her hope that Evi actually held on to . It made sense to her now. Her fear made sense as well. Evi then softy and glaciously smiled at her, nodding her head. And slowly, all three of them started to make their way away from there, and now to a more different part of the kingdom. Continuing their walk. They thought of staying there, and decided to help their people, if anyone needed it anywhere. And that is what all three of them were born to do. He helpful. .................................................................................................................................................................................................... Barka on the other hand was making his way towards the large hospitals, where all of the vampires were and most of them still suffering the pain that his queen had caused them. And up to no recovery or at least very slow recovery there. He seemed a little worried about them, and now making his way towards Misi and multiple witches. They were all here, already taking care of them all. "Is everything okay with them?" Barka asked as he walked up to her, to the end of the hall. And all she did was nod her head. "Don't worry, they all are doing well. It might not look better now but they will be fine by tonight, before the king comes." She informed him, and he nodded his head, looking at every one else. While most of them were asleep, this got him confused. "What happened to them?" He asked, making her huff. "We put them to sleep, they were in a lot of pain and what ever the magic was that Evi used or was used by her body, it affected them by stabbing them in the heart. The magic is still stuck to them, holding on to their heart and it will take time to go away. But the pain will stay until it leaves completely. So we had to put them to sleep for some time, so our magic will do its job." She explained, as he did not see it coming, he was shocked to know about it. "And how will that happen?" He asked, confused now. "Our magic will pull it out, a painful process. Some of them couldn't even make it." She said, looking away from the king and behind him. Quickly Barka turned around and there he saw at least 18 bodies on the ground. All of them dead, and white cloth spread over their bodies. It was a devastating sites to see. "She is very powerful and she doesn't even know it Barka. If she knew what she did..." Misi said and Barka turned to her immediately. "You cannot tell her about this.." He said, anger pouring out of him and his attituted for tough now. He could scare any one but not her. "You want me to hide this from the queen? If she ask me Barka. I have to answer her truthfully." She said, defeated. "I am ordering you to do this." He roughly spoke to her. "You cannot let her know. She will never be able to forgive herself." He said, knowing the reality of what this could bring her. "She has to know that she is too powerful, powerful enough to kill if she has no control. She might kill anyone and hurt anyone Barka......" "STOP IT....." He said, suddenly screaming on her face, scaring the other witches here. But there he calmed down, taking a deep breath in. "Stop it Misi.." He said, holding her hand tight and not wanting to hear it any longer. She was calm all this time, but she was baffled. "What are you trying to prevent here Barka?" She said, asking him a very difficult question. "You cannot protect someone who has been exposed to such power. The moon goddess gave her this for a reason. How long do you think you will be able to protect her from herself. Barka.." She said, looking deep into his eyes, wanting him to understand. "Let her fight this anger, frustration of what she has done. She needs to know the result of her actions. She will be able to work or not." Misi said, as he shook his head. "She is not ready.." He whispered. "She will never be, never if you hold her close to you. Sometimes she has to scream in pain, but protecting someone to this extent will only make them weak and someone like that should not be weak. "She is not weak.." He said, almost immediately. "Then what? Stop protecting her." Misi said, but there was a very strange look on his face while he stood there, staring at her. And all she did was nod at him. "But okay.... if that is your order. I will not tell her any thing.." She said and that was enough for him. As the king slowly let go of her, he did not hurt her but she could understand his panic. His anger and even his words towards her. However, she too understood he was not in the right path here either. There was more to come now.
