Chapter 21

3663 Words
Rain started to pore through out the night, only getting louder and harsher. And thunder and lightning boarding out as well. The entire Kingdom had once again fallen silent, and there was nothing anybody wanted to do or had to do. Because they were only waiting to know if the queen or their soon to be Queen was okay or not, awake or not. However, back in the castle, things were not the same anymore either. Immediately, the Alpha Lord barged into his office, throwing the door open as he made his way into the room and right to the back door and the balcony. He wanted to take some deep breaths. He needed that, because the man was in rage, almost as if he had lost something and what he found could have been gone forever. For a very long time the man was going through his own sort of turmoil, clearly remembering at what state he had seen Evelet in, remembering blood everywhere. Barka slowly looked down at his hands, and even though he had washed them up, he could still see a small hint of her blood that was still on him, on his hand. The Alpha Lord could smell her blood. "What the hell do you think you are doing?" A voice came from behind him and he immediately knew it was Santo. "I am not in the mood right now, leave." He said to his best friend. Trying to dismiss him, but Santo wasn't having any of that. "You were going through hell as you brought her here, you wouldn't let go of Evi in the car and you wouldn't let anyone touch her either. Barka, you brought her here and now you don't want to stay with her?" He asked the Lord, trying to clarify what he was doing, but at this moment the Alpha lord, he was breathing fire and his eyes were slowly turning black, but the man was controlling himself, holding on to any thing that was inside of him and trying not to burst out. And yes, it was difficult. "I said, I do not want to talk about it. Get out of here Santo." He let out, but Santo wasn't having it either. "Enough." He said, slamming his hand on the table and now Barka lost it. "I SAID GET OUT OF THIS ROOM." He screamed at him, turning around at Santo, and showing him the mad King that he was. Barka's eyes had turned black, and dark blue veins were out by the corners of his eyes. It was just devastating and dangerously scary to see a king this way. Even Santo had to step back. "Enough now Barka, I am not afraid of you." He said clearly lying, but he very well knew that Barka couldn't and did not intend to make him feel bad or scare him. It was something that just happened. However the Alpha lord calmed down, still not saying another word. Calming his body, mind and soul. "You need to leave. I am not going to say this again. Go back to your wife, she needs you." Barka said. And Santo smiled at that. "And Evi needs you. Go talk to her, Barka." He said. "About what ? About how she was about to die?" He asked him. "I don't know, you go stay with her Barka. You and your wolf finally have a chance with a mate, don't ruin it for yourself and this pack." He said, turning around and slowly walking away from there. Because now he had nothing more to say to his best friend, his brother. What ever he wanted to know and saw was all over, Santo was done for that moment. How ever, Barka, on the other hand, he stood there and his wolf screaming for him to go upstairs. "So to her Barka, see her. I want to stay there." His wold said, making Barka shut his eyes tight, he did not want to think about it. Anger was still seeping out of him as at full range he stood there, veins popping out of his neck, hand and everywhere. He wanted all these voices to end right here. .......................................................................................................................................................................................................... How ever, up on the 4th floor in Evelet's room, massive lightning and thunders were going about and as frequently as possible too. It was painfully getting louder and louder by the second, as the clouds had started to clash on the each other and just like that, as the immense rain started falling faster and louder, right then there was a large lightning that came in, making Evi's dark room completely white and right then right behind it, with it came in heart breaking thunder, ring through out the room. "HUHHHHH............" Evelet gasped, Immediately huffing in horror and opening up her eyes in shock, like she and her body was pulled out from the sleeping slumber and back into reality, where she had been for so long. It was some how very shocking, and what just happened. Following that, Evi heard the sound of rain hitting her balcony and the marble on the ground. It was just very surprising to her that everything was happening all of a sudden and she had just woken up from her sleep. Because the last thing she remembered very clearly was feeling something on her, something very warm on her cheek and that was it. "What the hell?" She whispered to herself, placing her hands on either side of her body and her bed, trying to push herself up and forcing herself to sit. Although, no longer was she feeling the same kind of pain that she did before, rather Evi was feeling much better. "Flower ?" She called out to her. "I am here Evi, I am fine," Flower said. "But what happened to us?" Evi asked. "I have no idea, and you need to stop asking me that. I honestly don't know what keeps happening to us but I am just happy that I feel better. Are you hurt anywhere?" Flower asked her, and quickly sitting up straight and a little shaking, suddenly Evi remembered something. She quickly placed her hand on the back of her head, trying to feel the cut, however it was no longer there and she searched for it, confused. "I think you heeled that." She said to Flower, which was the truth. "I guess so. I feel stronger than ever. Maybe the magic is still working." Flower said, but the questions still remain and both of them not understanding why every now and then they keep drifting away from which other. To them it is just disturbing. She thought to herself, knowing that was the truth of the matter. Suddenly another bright lightning came, which made her look around the place a little stunt and there came a very dangerous thunder, freaking her out. "Ahh, fuckkk...." She let out a small scream, placing her hand on her ears. Not really afraid but just taken a back, realising how close this place was to the sky, this building and everything was all too much. Evi then turned around to look at the balcony, only to see thick water falling on to the marble yet again. She was back home. That was when she realized it and somebody brought her back home. Evi though did not know who it was, but she was happy to see her back here. However, abruptly right then, her doors banged open, surprising her as shifted in her bed, backing away. Because Evi was completely startled and there she saw her mate standing and staring at her. Both of them stood there and said nothing, but he looked very angry, more over pissed off with her. This confused her even more so. "What happened?" She asked him, staring at him a little longer and trying to understand the man. "What are you doing here, Barka?" She asked. "What were you thinking?" He asked her, and this question did not even come close to making sense to Evi. She did not understand what he was trying to say, and where he was coming from. Confused as ever, she stared at him a little weird. What... are you talking about?" She asked. "Evelet, I told you to stay with Santo the entire time." He said to her, walking down a few steps and making his way towards her bed. And she did not move a muscle, she sat there and her covers pulled over to her stomach. She for that one second was trying to recall that moment but couldn't understand his anger. Thinking of what happened?, while going back to her memory which was a little shaky at the moment. "But I just woke up..." She said to him. "And I told you to stay with HIM DID I NOT......." He screams at her, scaring her almost immediately and forcing her to back away in her bed. "Why are you screaming at me?" She asked, stunned. "Because you never listen to me. Those wolves came there for you and you were no where around Santo." He said. And she had nothing more to say then, he stopped her from saying anything. "I understand but something happened and that is why I couldn't stay......." She tried to say as she looked up at her mate to see he was pushing his hair out of his face, mad as ever. "You make me weak..." He said to her, and there she stopped talking. And even though she did not want to admit it, but what he said to her made her feel a sharp pain in her heart. "I did not want a mate Evelet, and you were absolutely right, my wolf made me do this. Seeing you there almost getting ripped into pieces or maybe killed......"He said, fire burning in his eyes, he was shaking his head but she said nothing. She had nothing to say at all. "You couldn't fight and if I wasn't there, you could have died." He let out, staring down at her. I had to be here in the kingdom because someone was arriving to the castle, and I had to stop that and leave because I knew you were in trouble. I know you can fight but you did not even try to fight for your own people, that is what I didn't want."He let out and quickly she grabbed on to her covers tightly in her grip. "I didn't try to back away from Santo, one of the guard took me with him to keep me safe." She said, and she had to put in effert to open her mouth after what she heard. "I have seen mates try to destroy each other, one weakness can kill an entire Kingdom and now you have become my weakness, my entire Kingdom is numb because of you, because you could have been dead. You and your wolf makes me weak." He let out, stunning her once again. "What are you talking about?." She asked. "That you were right, I shouldn't have brought you here." He said, hurting her badly this time, and to her core. To a point that everything started to break for her, she couldn't even believe she was thinking this. "One of my biggest mistakes was bringing you here with me. You were right Evelet, I should have rejected you a long time ago." he said, and she actually felt as if she was going to throw up. Her body was trying very hard not to cry, but her soul was breaking. "Then what is stopping you right now, do it." She asked and said to him, challenging him as her voice started to break on her and this shut him up. However the kings slowly moves down and closer to her. Looking deep into her glossy eyes. "The only reason I have kept you here, is for my pack to grow, for my Kingdom to feel and gain the power because only a queen can do that for them. I have realised it, but you mean nothing to me. You never did before and you will never again. I am not going to let you make me weak." He whispered, staring into her soul. And this time, as she was completely shattered by his words. "Leave me alone.." She whispered back at him, because that was the only thing she could say to him. Only thing that her body would allow and slowly he backed away from her, stood up as a large lightning came through and a small tear fell down from her eyes. She had no control over her emotions anymore and Evi finally let go. That was when he saw her, and saw what he had done to her in his anger. Her tears were something that came as a surprise. The man blinked his eyes one time, realising what he had done in pure range. But he couldn't get stuck to it. Quickly, then he turned around and walked away from her, getting out of there almost immediately. Barka left the door open and walked out, leaving her there all alone. However, Evi was devastated. She felt like she was going to break now, because everything inside of her was burning.. Evelet looked down at her cover, mainly her fingers were playing with it but she was breaking on the inside. "He did not mean that, I know it." Her wolf said to her, but Evi honestly couldn't believe any one at this moment. "He was just angry, because he saw you that way." She let out but somehow she did not want to believe any of that either. Immediately, Evi shut her eyes, feeling something was piercing through her body. And everything was going numb. "He is not going to reject us." Flower said, and that made her chuckle. "He will, he has. Why did we come here..... he does not even want us.." She said, tears falling off of her constantly. However, Flower now wanted to say something but she could not, because she was heart broken as well. Immediately, Evi pushed her covers off of her body and pulled her legs down on the cold marble, getting up and standing there. Feeling a sudden shiver all over her body, but she did not care and quickly turned to the balcony, making her way out of the room and walking down. Evelet wanted to feel some thing other than what she was feeling, and she walked out in the rain, even after everything she had been through. She closed her eyes feeling the cold water slap on to her face.. Taking in a deep breath and letting it out, smelling the scent of rain and the scent of it touching the rocks of the castle, the mud under them. It was bringing her back to what the reality was, and here she couldn't think of anything else other than what he said to her. Immediately she cried, and cried out loud.. Sobbing as her head bent down and her hand on her stomach, realising how everything was ending for her. Her family was far away, she was with a man who did not want her and responsibility that she knew nothing about.. Everything around her was shuttering and no longer did everything seem like a reality to her. But Barka wasn't happy either. He walked into his room and like a wild animal, Barka immediately started slamming his hand on the mirror, breaking it into pieces and letting all of his rage out. "AHHHHHHH........" He screamed, furious with himself, with the moon goddess, with everything that surrounded him and how he felt right now. Instantly, he grabbed a large table that was made by the thickest wood and held it like it was nothing, throwing it across the room and breaking it into pieces as well. "AHHHHHHHHH..." He was screaming through his lungs, and now his hands were punching the wall over and over again, cracking it and putting holes in it as he. He was doing anything and everything to make himself feel the pain that he was causing her. Barka was hitting the walls over and over again, feeling all sorts of pain and he was taking it out on the walls, bringing it outside of him. He could not let it all. Barka knew he needed to feel this pain. And now screams over and over again, alarming everyone in the castle. However, Barka stopped what he was doing, slowly pushing himself behind as her tears and that face came back to him. Her closer eyes came back to him as well and her face was covered in her own blood. Everything he could see clearly. Barka was a complete mess of himself, and he had lost his mind. Completely falling to the ground, laying his back on the foot of the bed, Barka stayed like that, looking down at the ground. The pain in his hand was nothing to him. It did not get to him. How eve, he wanted to feel it. The reason why he was slamming his hands on to the wall and was destroying it. But nothing happened to him. Although, there were large cuts that were forming on his hands, and they were starting to pour out blood, making it land on the marble floor, slowly dripping through his flesh. "BARKA.... BARKA WHAT IS GO........... what the hell?........" Rann said, running into the room, but only to see the mess that his brother had created. "What happened? what are you doing?" He asked, getting closer to him. "What is happening to me?" Barka asked, his breath getting heavy on him. However, Rann really knew what he was talking about. He understood him very well. "You went and talked to her?" He asked Barka, but Barkas said nothing to him and was looking at the ground. "Do you honestly blame her for everything? for your weakness?" He said and Barka then looked up, and yet again raging with fire inside of him. But he was not going to let it out on his brother. "You cannot take your mother and father's example and use it on everyone. Yes, they both loved each other and yes, their love killed each other as well. That is what made them sacrifice for each other, and you accept it too, Father and mother were not weak, they were in love and that makes strong." He let out, as Barka had a sinister smile on his face. "Love makes no one strong." He growled, grabbing on to his t-shirt and holding him tight. But Rann looked down. However, he was not surprised at his. "You felt something when you saw her bleeding didn't you? you felt like you were going to lose her?" He asked Barka and immediately the man let him go, looking away from him and down at the ground yet again. "You couldn't do it, you couldn't let her be. Barka you don't know this but you did not leave her side, not until she got here and we have to pull you out so the doctor could test her. She doesn't make you weak, Evelet makes you stronger. You don't make her weak either, you make her stronger as well." He said, as slowly the Alpha lord shut his eyes and tilted his head back, resting it on the foot of the bed. "What happened today cannot happen again. I don't want anyone getting to her and anyone ever again." Barka said yet again, pretending like nothing happened just a few minutes ago. And now he was back to how the Alpha lord should be. Although, this made Rann mad as ever. "You have a mate Barka. Appreciate her and this bond now. Before you completely lose her, because by the reaction you have, I won't be shocked if she rejects you or if you reject her. Because if you do, she might not survive this second time." Rann let out, as Barka unconsciously fisted his hands on to a ball, not being able to hear that.. However, Rann stood up straight, looking at his brother, he was so broken, and for the very first time he seemed to him like a human, for a very first time Barka was not just an animal. And somehow that was enough for him. Rann quickly turned around, making his way out of there and leaving him alone. Because he knew Barka wanted to be alone. Barka though, he heard him walking out of there, while still breathing heavy. Slowly Barka stood up, making his way towards the balcony of his bedroom. The blood continued to pore down from his hands, making a trail behind him. But he did not care, just continued to walk and got out of his room. And now to the rain, letting the rain touch him as well. Because that was the only thing that was helping him calm down. He placed his bleeding and his hands now on the rail, just looking out at his Kingdom that he build with his father, just thinking if everyone were speaking the truth. Because even if he wanted to say it out loud, he couldn't. But the truth here was that, seeing her that way, making her cry and all that burnt everything inside of him. The Alpha lord wanted to tire everything apart. Barka wanted to keep her safe, he wanted her to wake up all this time, and he couldn't believe he was thinking about all of these things for a girl he never wanted in this life. This, not understanding what pull she had over him was hard. Because it was stronger than ever, stronger as that rain that never stopped. And the thunder and lightning that never stopped as well. This was way stronger than both of them.
