Chapter 20

3569 Words
The mist was getting thicker than ever, everything in here was surrounded and only covered in blood, broken bones and screams. It was unfortunate as it was, it was also the reality as well. However, the guard who was protecting Evi was doing everything in his power to keep Isaac away from his Queen, and both Isaac and him were standing right in front of each other. They were never letting each other go, and the man was standing right in front of his Queen, he was blocking her. How ever, for Evi everything was going slowly dark. She had never felt so hopeless in her life. Not being able to move and breathe was hard. She clearly had no idea why she was even feeling like this for so long. She wanted to speak, but it was the hardest thing for her to do. But right at that moment, she noticed how Isaac immediately jump right on top of the guard. How ever the guard quickly slipped through, and both the wolves fell on the ground covered in wet mud, as they rolled around and both of them stood up almost immediately. Growling at each other. How ever, the man never let go of his site of his Queen, fighting back and the fight continue, they both never backed away and the guard was very good at what he was doing. Using all of his power, he was not going to back away and Isaac knew that very well. "Isa.......ac please.... enough. You don't have to do this." She said and as those words came to Isaac's ears, it almost made him feel like, she was indicating that he was wrong and that made him feel even much more angry than before. He ran to the guard and grabbed his neck, who saw it coming and quickly rolled Issac over, trying to get away from his grip and he did but. The guard was down and Issac was right on top of him. That was the kind of motivation that Issac needed to try to submit a Royal Guard. And for at least some time he did it. Although the Royal guard was much more powerful. He got himself out of that, pushing Issac's wolf away from there with all his force and creating a large distance between them.. The noise of them fighting was all over the place, and very overwhelming. How ever as Evi sat there on the ground, losing all of her reality. Issac noticed her weakness. However, he did not understand why Evelet was so weak. Why was she not fighting back? But he did not care, and quickly he started to make his way towards her. Sprinting as fast as he could. And seeing her death in his eyes and coming close to her, Evi's eyes went wide open. Completely stunned to see her best friend in this state, and he was coming at her, to kill her. But right at that moment, the guard came up slamming in to Isaac's way, pushing him away from her and that blow was so hard that blood came out of Issac's mouth, and the wolf was in pain. She saw it all happening right in front of her, this was literally turning into a blood bath and she hated every second of it. Wanting for everything to stop or for her to completely disappear from here. If that is what it took.. This time her eyes were closing on her, it felts like all the energy was being pulled out of her body. "Flower please.........." She called out for her one last time, hoping now she would listen to her. But when she suddenly, Evi noticed a pack member. Issac's pack member that she knew before. She was running up to her, and this time Evi couldn't help but feel so betrayed as how these people who were once her friends, were here to hurt her. they were doing anything in their power to kill her. And this time Evelet had no protection, even though she couldn't stand up, but she had to fight for herself and she was going to. No longer being able to hear Flower anymore. And now Evi was waiting for the wolf to come to her and she was ready to fight. What ever fight that was left inside of her. "GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...................." A loud growl came from all sides, the growl being so beastly, wild and painfully loud. It had the power to immediately stop what ever everyone was doing. That was not a very normal growl but so powerful, so much so just that the wolves started to back away, and even the queen shivered. Evelet quickly noticed how the wolf in front of her stopped and fell back on the ground. She was so afraid of whatever made that growl, she couldn't keep her legs steady........ "GGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR..." Immediately, another large growl came, but at the same time came and entire army of wolves and humans as well.. And by the sent of it all, Evi very clearly knew that it was her Kingdom and her new people that were here to protect her. She had no idea what just happened at that moment, but her body gave away. It was almost as if she couldn't hold up anymore now. Evi knew her people were safe now, and more of the guards had come to protect them. She felt a sense of peace rubbing off of her.. Immediately Evi started to let out a small huff, but that is all that was left of her because her. Evi's body finally giving away and she landed down on the ground, head ead landing first. There was no longer any oxygen going into her brain, she couldn't even breathe properly and her small breath going up and down. Her eyes very slightly open. She was trying to see. but there was not much going on. Evi saw how the wolves, some of the retrieved while some of them were captured. But that was not who she wanted to look at. Evelet glanced at that one wolf that she had lived a life with. She saw him looking somewhere away from her, but slowly, then Issac glanced down, meeting her eyes almost as if it could not, but was trying to. Evi could understand his will to kill her now, it was the most painful thing that she had ever experienced in her life, but Evi knew what she did might have hurt him, it was unintentional of her. "I am sorry.........." Evi whispered, knowing none of this was her fault, but she said it because she knew he wanted to hear it from her. Evelet knew he was in pain. She did this for him one last time, and for no one else. However as the moment he heard her say those words out loud, something just slipped right through him. Almost as if he knew she meant it, but that was still not enough for him. He the quickly moved back, and the wolf shook his head, his fur moving all around. The anger swiftly came back to Issac, as if nothing had changed at all and nothing had changed for him. And as disturbing as it was, he turned around, sprinting away from there and away from her like a coward. This was the kind of things she had never seen in her life, he was not a coward, not this person she knew... "Where is she............" Suddenly a voice came, a very familiar voice. Evi had no idea what it was but her heart started to pump yet again, and faster, louder. A sense of happiness was with her, because she knew she would be safe as well. But her body had taken enough, the exhaustion had got to her and slowly things started to go black. But not before feeling a touch of warmth around her. She felt a hand on her, familier and there she felt safe right there and then. It that very moment she knew she was home. No longer was Evelet afraid for her people, and for herself. Everything and everyone were safe. ......................................................................................................................................................................................................... The atmosphere in the castle had become very grim, everything and everyone had settled down eventually, but something just looked and felt disturbing all around. And dark clouds were forming all over the place, indicating that it was going to rain very soon and heavily as well. However, the entire place had fallen silent, and right after they all had noticed their queen as they had brought her and more people back, it was a mess. Seeing her bleeding, after what they had heard happened right in the middle of the road, it was the most unfortunate thing to happen. People were praying for all of them. However, at this moment, the entire family, Nori, Santo, Rann and even the Queen mother, they were all standing right there by the door, while Misi and a doctor were inside of Evelet's bedroom, doing a little check up on her. Although, Barka, on the other hand, he was standing by the balcony that was right in the middle of the hallway and in between both of their bedrooms. He couldn't listen to anything from inside of her room all because Misi was in there and she always cast a spell making sure no one could hear her personal thoughts or her voice, and anywhere she went, it would be the same. Although the king did not leave the side of his mate, but he for sure didn't want to be so close either. There was something inside of him that was burning and raging and he did not know what it was, he did not want to know either. "Is she going to be okay?" Rann asked the Queen mother, who was standing there a little nervous and worried for her daughter. "She will be fine. Misi is in there with her, everything will be okay. And she will wake up soon." The Queen mother said with confidence in her voice, but still it was terrifying for her to see Evi this way. "I do not know what I am going to say to River. She has to know about her daughter and she will be devastated." The Queen mother said, worried about River. More than ever understanding a mother's pain very clearly. "How did that even happened ? We have tight security all the time. How did anyone even get to her?" Rann asked, so baffled and upset. And mostly completely irritated by how nobody predicted this. However, everyone there went quiet for a while, thinking over this. Because nobody had any idea. Never the less, the King, on the other hand, he stood there with his hands folded on his chest. He was standing there on a firm stand and looking out into his kingdom. His anger was still there on his face, and everything about him was burning while he stood there listening. However, Santo, on the other hand, had something on his mind. "What happened?" Nori asked her husband, as she could feel some kind of distress in his thoughts. The man suddenly came out and back into reality. "I am just wondering why didn't she fight back? She is the Luna. I am sure she could have, but she was falling and her eyes were closing. What happened to her?" He said, a little concerned about her well being. He knew something was really bothering her. "I know right ?" Nori said, suddenly thinking about that. "Evi said something was wrong with her, she wanted to sleep. She said she was very tired and I don't know what happened but she was so blue in the car, she couldn't even talk properly. Evi just fell asleep after a while." Nori explained, surprising everyone and at that moment the Alpha lord clenched his fist, listening to all of that very carefully. "She must be week............ we have a week Queen." A voice came from behind all of them, alarming everyone as the looked around to see another witch. Misi's older sister. But not even close to as powerful as her. The old lady looked healthier than her sister but very similar to her as well. "Not now Shy........." The Queen mother said, knowing her character very well, knowing how she found fault in everything and everyone. However, the King quickly looked way from his Kingdom and now concentrated on what Shy had to say. "It's better that you start listening to me now, Queen mother. My sister cannot be right about everything, but think about it. The Queen couldn't fight some small basic wolfs?. What kind of a Queen will she be? And the only thing you will get from her is her looked, and she will get wealth, a great title with an amazing King. Other than that she is nothing, she just fainted." She said, disgused with her and her voice said it out. Santo, Rann and Nori absolutely hated it. "Enough Shy, we are trying to understand what is happening to her." Santo said almost immediately, using his title to speak up. "You can say whatever you want to me, but when the reality hits you, you will understand that I was right. Her crowing is in a few days and this is her state. Not sure when she will wake up." She said and Nori rolled her eyes. "In my years of being here, not once have I seen a Queen that could not fight, but now I have seen that as well." She said making everyone there mad with her conversation. She could never ever speak right about anyone. However, seeing that no one here was going to listen to her, and so she turned around, not before looking at the King one last time. Bowing down to him, not out of respect but mostly because she had to. "I hope the Queen lives well." She said, and this time Barka was losing his senses. She then walked away from there. However right then quickly the doors open and both the doctor and the nurse walked out. The family had surrounded them and the King, he immediately made his way towards him and in his powerful stride. "Is everything okay with her?" He asked with no emotion and even before anyone else could ask the doctor. "She is doing fine, everything is fine. The Queen is very healthy. Although there was a cut on the back of her head, but the bleeding has stopped. We had to stop it, her wolf is not responding to her or us." He said, and this came as a surprise to everyone there. All were worried about both the wolf and their queen. However, Barka then glanced inside of the room, only to see how Misi was with her, slowly making a small prayer and her hand placed on Evelet's forehead. Misi was trying to take care of her in her own way, this always helped. Although, he did not understand what was going on anymore, but something was wrong. There were a lot of mixed feelings in his mind, and it was mostly anger, sadness and just everything consuming into one thing. It was a lot for him and he didn't even know it. "When is she going to wake up?" He asked, never taking his eyes off of his Queen. "By tonight, yes. She will be awake and we have given her some medicine to let her sleep well. Eventually, she will make up health and Misi is there with her, there is nothing to worry about." The doctor let out. And that was good news for the people there. "Thank you so much doctor."The queen mother said, as most of them felt a little piece, knowing the reality of the matter. While a few of them were just still upset. How ever, the king's expression was so neutral, it never changed. That none of them honestly understood what he was feeling or going through. It was just that unfortunate that no one could even ask him. But nothing was said and Barka quickly, he turned around and not saying another word to anyone, he just walked out of there, leaving his mate like that all alone. Surprising each and everyone of his family. "What?, is he just going to leave? Don't you think he should stay with her?" Nori asked her husband. How ever, all Santo could do was simply nod his head, telling her to settle down. Holding her close to his body that way, seeing how she too also had a few bruises here and there. But her wolf was healing her. Santo looked at his wife, peacefully. It was very clear that she wasn't hurt but he was afraid. And if her state would have been the same as the Queen, he would have lost his mind a long time ago. Slowly he pushed some part of her away from her face, pulling her close to his chest and holding the love of his life there, like that keeping her protected. How ever Santo, couldn't help but look at his King walking down and far, far away from his mate. It was breaking his heart. "I thought after having a mate Barka would change. I guess change doesn't come so quickly." He said, finding the situation very painful. And no one over there could say anything. However, Misi, on the other hand, she sat there with the Queen. Misi needed to be with her. She was holding Evelet's hand tight and her eyes closed, Misi was whispering something over and over again, trying to enforce her mind into Evi's trying to understand what was wrong with her. She did notice that the Queen mother was right there. She walked up being very quiet and sat down by the foot of the bed, watching Misi. And knowing something was terribly wrong if she was doing this. However, Misi's eyes closed, they started to go here and there. She was trying to read her mind. Blood............ blood was everywhere, and the moon right on top of it. Shining over the lake of blood. Misi was trying to see why she was seeing this. Suddenly she saw a movement, a very small movement in that water. A floating body and that belongs to the queen herself. "Huuhhh.." Misi slowly gasped, and the queen mother noticed that. She did not ask her anything, just watched Misi. In Evi's dream she was seeing that Evelet was breathing. She was alive, but she looked like she was trapped there. Something about this red atmosphere did not scare Misi as she looked around, because it was not bad if there was a moon in her dream.. The Queen was protected by the moon goddess. What ever this dream was, was not a curse for her, but rather it was an indication of the future. Immediately, Misi opened her eyes staring at the Queen as a small smile creeped on to her. "Is everything okay? is she going to be fine?" The queen mother finally asked her, as Misi knew the world more than any doctor in the world. "More than okay. Don't worry about her, nothing about her and her wolf is weak as my sister said." Misi let out, surprising the queen mother. She is much more than what we can see, and again, for that kind of strength to come, Evelet needed some time, that is all. Everything is fine with her and Flower." She said and that brought some sort of clarity for the queen mother as well. "Huuhh......." She let out a small breath of relief, very happy with what she heard. "You should go rest." Misi said, "No I want to stay here, or Nori will." The Queen mother said, but Misi quickly shook her head, standing up. "I think we should let her rest, and all alone." She said clarifying. "And it's okay.. Evelet will be protected here. It is a very safe castle after all." She said and the Queen mother nodded her head. "But right now, she needs to be alone without people surrounding her. It's for her best." Misi let out, and unfortunately for the Queen it was not a great of an idea. She did not want to let her go, but was watching her daughter who was suffering. However, there was also good news that she would be fine. "You go talk to River, she needs to know about Evelet." Misi said, slowly placing her hand on the back of the Queen mother, guiding her out of there. Even though she did not want to go, she walked out. Misi then closed the door behind her, and not before one last time turning to look at the Queen and bowing down to her out of respect. "It is such an honour to live in this life time with you." Misi said to Evi, smiling softly as she walked out of the room, leaving her there all alone. The darkness of the evening started to come up as well, and the room getting grey and black over the time. Rain now started to suddenly pour out, not slowly but in a rage. Just screaming its way through.
