Chapter 2

"Almost there.." She muttered, as she saw the rock where she normally sat down, until the sun went down and the moon came up. Immediately climbed onto it, sitting down, Neve fixed her pink dress that went up till her thighs. She stayed there, just watching the water, listening to the water as it hit the rocks below her. It went back and forth, back and forth over and over and over again. Neve was having a great time on her own, a little silence was something she knew that would do good for her. However that was not something that did not come very much free to the Alpha's daughter. Because right then she could sends a presence around her and clearly knew who it was as well. Slowly she turned around to see her best friend since she was a baby. Gene walk down the rocks, being careful as she was holding on to her heels in her hands as she was dressed up in elegant wear. "What the hell are you doing here again?" Gene asked, pushing her curly hair away from her face as she climbed on to the rock as well, sitting close to Neve. Neve though, she wouldn't have thought this but was very glad to have her here. "I thought you were going to come tomorrow for the wedding? not today." She said. "My wolf was going crazy to meet you, so I am also here. At least I have a reason." Gene said looking at her best friend who was trying to lose eye contact. Gene was worried for her. "Did you have a fight again." She asked, and quickly Neve shook her head. "It not go that far." Neve let out. "They just don't believe me when I say, he is not there any more." She said and Gene scoffed. "Of course they don't.You were a baby when you saw your mate and he passed away right in front of you. Of course, nobody believes it." Gene said talking about a horrible trauma she had to go through as a child. Especially people did not believing her. "But I know what I am doing. If things we different, I would have left it but there is no second chance mate and there is no such thing as that now either. My wolf is very strong, it is surviving but it needs a pack, it needs an Alpha." Neve said, coming up clean finally, and happy that she was able to speak up. "Don't try to cry over it anymore, what happened, happened?" She said supporting her through everything since the the very beginning. And Neve nodded her head. How ever they both sat there watching as the sun started to set, the smell of everything around them started to change, yet again it was time to go back. "Since when are you here, by the way?" She asked. "Since the morning." Neve said. "Have you not eaten anything?" Gene let out, a little pissed off and very much concerned about her health. "Come on, get up. At least let's go have dinner. Your father will not take this very lightly." She said, forcing her best friend to stand up. Never the less Neve did, smiling to herself as she jumped down the rock, making her way up the cliff. "My father loses it every single time." She said, making her way back to the car as Gene was right with her. "Don't think too much about it." She said, wrapping her hand, around Neve's arms. "And believe me, Issac is going to be a great mate for you . He is a good man and amazing Alpha." Sene let out as Neve raised her eyes, trying not to react. "Who else can top a man like that?" Gene said, helping her out, making an exaggeration here. But it was in fact the truth, he was an amazing Alpha. .............................................................................................................................................................................................................. Loud screams echoed through out the forest, something like it was going back and forth, back and forth repeatedly. The muffle of that sound was heard through miles away. How ever, a large man walked into the forest, the beta lord of the Mardakanh Kingdom. He made his way in, through the forest, listening to where that sound was coming from. Pushing past a few enormous trees, he made his way out and right to a beautiful and large waterfall right in front of him. This waterfall being the pride of the kingdom. Now he was putting two and, two together, very well knew what was happening here. At the same time, his eyes landed on two brothers standing right under the water, but they were there fighting till their death, or at least that is what it looked like. The sounds of them fighting, passing punches through punches was what was echoing, and at the same time, the sound of the water slipping through the land and rocks was also well heard of. "This is not going to end well for Rann." The Beta said. Right then his eyes landed on Barca, and in all of his presence. The large, enormous man stood there, staring at his little bother, waiting for him to come to him. "AHHHH...." His brother screamed as he ran up to the Alpha. Going for a huge punch on the face, but immediately, Barka blocked him and grabbed on to his hand. Rann was taken aback but knew what was about to come for him. "No brother.." He said, requesting. But all Barka did was give him a small smirk. "Too late.." He whispered. And with all of his might, Barka grabbed him, and threw him over his shoulders. However, the force was so much so, the Alpha lord had thrown him through the forest. "AHHHH FUCK..." Ran yelled out, the second his body slammed on to multiple trees while he was breaking them right in the middle. Slamming one after the other. The poor trees had no chance between them, they had to fall and so they did. .. .. .. ... . ... Everything calmed down after a while, like the wind, land, sky, everything had settled down eventually. Alpha Barca turned around, a bit relaxed at the large man who was standing there, all shirtless while the sprinkle of the falls fell on to him. His body showing off his carved body, his shoulders standing large and strong. And through his brown eyes, he looked right at his beta, his friend, Santo. "What brings you here? Santo?" Barka asked, and right at that moment, very clearly being able to hear his little brother getting back up on his feet, making his way to them. "I came here to remind you that we have a wedding to go to. We all have to leave tonight, and your grandmother is very much prepared for this already." Santo said, smiling at the man who was so much like his own brother, while the Alpha lord, on the other hand, walked up to the rocks where he had placed his shirt. Putting it on, he walked right ahead, when he noticed his brother had caught up to them, and was slightly bleeding through his chin. But he took it like he was supposed, like a worrier would. "Rann, you are the chief of the warriors, and still cannot be the Alpha." Santo said, trying to joke away, which Rann did not take to heart. Never the less he smiled to himself, nodding his head. "An Alpha, is an Alpha after all." He said, walking up to Santo and hugging him tight. "What is this about a wedding I am hearing." Rann said, looking at his brother and confused. "I thought you were not about to go." He asked, as all three of them were walking back into the forest and towards the kingdom. "If it is grandmother's decision, we have to go through it. There is no way out of this," Barka said, clearly knowing what would happen eventually. "So I guess an Alpha is not an Alpha when it comes to grandmothers." Santo let out, making Rann chuckle softly, but Barka had no expression on him, as always. "How ever, she is hoping you will meet your Luna, our Queen." Santo brought it up, and Rann was immediately so pleased about this topic. "It is about time we brought the rightful queen to her true place, among her people. Everyone is praying for this day to come Barca," Santo said, reminding him of what was important at that moment. How ever his brother though, he clearly knew that was not the right topic to take, but it had to be. Everyone knew that, but Santo wasn't afraid of Barka. Although, the mood of the king, the lord, got a little grim as this conversation came up. And right at that moment these three men were finally out of the forest and walked right into the Kingdom. There Barka saw the beautiful large castle standing proudly, standing strong for centuries as it was built by the true warriors that were now dead. And the entire Kingdom was standing still, right in front of it. Barka didn't say anything, and started to walk ahead. This was his personal joys. He did not have much of them, but a few many important to him. Barka liked to walk to the castle through his people. Just so he could be with them, around them and see them with his own eyes. This was important, or at least this was what his mother had thought him before she had passed away. These teachings were something he always remembered her by. Just so he could keep her in his mind and thoughts forever. As he was walking, people were bowing to the king as he nodded his head respectfully. Although, at this moment, he was completely ignoring what Santo had say and walked ahead. "Is that it?" Santo asked, after a long, long pause. And Barka stopped right in front of the gates of the castle, taking his time as he slowly turned back around, looking at him. "I know what kind of land I have, I also know how my ancestors, including you, took care of this place. The enemies we have made through out the years, the enemies that still exist, and even Grey." He said, talking about the man, the true rival to Barka. Santo never took his eyes off of Barka and Ran shook his head, thinking about the same thing. "We cannot live in fear." Santo whispered in pain for his brother, but all Barka saw was red. "And I cannot have a dead queen again. We have seen that before." Barka brought up, quickly making Santo look down, thinking of the death of the king's mother and how no one could save her. "You will be stronger with your mate," Rann said. "And what about her? Will she be safe with me? Will she be happy?. Barka brought up yet again. "Don't do this, Barka. A queen is needed for her people." Santo said, feeling defeated. "We do not need more power and greed than we already have. This kingdom has survived for centuries, and it will survive even now, without a queen." Barka said, hurting himself here, as he turned back around and walking away. But his brother was not having this anymore. "I cannot see this anymore Barka? how you are depriving yourself and your wolf of any happiness, a future and love.. You......." "There is no such thing as love." Barksa said, interrupting him. His thick, heavy and rough voice spoke up. "It's an attraction because of a bond, nothing else. The bond dies, the attraction ends and it takes everything with you." He said, never turning around once, as Barka walked away from there, leaving both his brothers behind. However, this answer that he gave was not new to any of them, but it hurts every time they hear him. Definitely none of this was easy for them.
