In her head, they were spoken in David’s voice, because he’d always been the cautious one. The voice of reason. Even that tragic night of Ellis Horvath’s murder, had he been there, he’d have told her that. And maybe all of this could’ve been prevented. Which was why, as curious as she was about the case of the burned girls, she couldn’t commit. David had thought it foolish, looking into Jerry Andrews. Though he’d given her the details on the case of the murdered college co-ed, more recently, he’d quickly tried to reel her in, so she wouldn’t get caught. Yes. He’d definitely think she was a total i***t for looking into this case. B
