Gianni's POV
I watched Damian leave the hall with his escort, I held Luna on her shoulders, "Why did you do that?"
"Are you defending your husband? Can't you see he didn't respect you?" Luna brushed my hands off her shoulder, "We both know the truth about the marriage so there is no need to pretend like you care,"Luna muttered under her breath.
"We both know it's not like that," I turned to Louis, "You know him more than I do, you are his cousin but you should have stopped Luna knowing what kind of person he is."
"Luna, Gianni has a point, I don't really know much about him but that man is dangerous, you shouldn't have done that," Louis swiped his hands through his hair.
"Who is Sheila?" Arabella waited for everyone to finish talking before she asked.
"She is just his past," Professor Lisa said from behind, "Gianni, I'm very sorry for what happened, I will make sure you get another respectful dinner."
"Why did you give me that dress if you already knew about it?" I asked calmly and politely.
"You needed something to wear so I had to give it," Lisa answered, "When hers was being customized, Sheila ordered another one and sent it to me."
Lisa explained, why didn't she tell Damian that Sheila had given it to her? "How did Sheila die?"
"I'm not sure, sometimes I really wonder what happened on that day, Damian will tell you when he is ready too," Lisa smiled, "Can I ask you to enjoy the event? I would love to go home now, come home when you are ready."
I burst into laughter, my life had turned into a mess, I was at my wedding dinner party with my husband, "Excuse me, and please no one should come after me," I excused myself when tears began to blur my vision.
I sat on the floor when I got outside, tears already streaming down my face, I have never been so happy that my parents weren't around to witness their child go through this.
I really wish they were alive, maybe, just maybe all these wouldn't have happened, just maybe, I wouldn't be married to a man who was fifteen years older than me.
"Is it really worth it?" I wiped my eyes when I heard Luna's voice.
"I said no one should follow me outside," I turned to the other side so she wouldn't see my face.
"I didn't follow you out, I came out to relax and get fresh air," Luna said, I looked at her and we both burst into laughter.
"Really?" We continued laughing.
"You look like a masquerade, your makeup is smeared," Luna passed me a box of wipes she brought along with her.
I took it from her hand and began to wipe my makeup off, "What isn't worth it?"
"The marriage, I mean Louis is willing to pay for everything," Luna fixed her gaze on me.
"I know but don't you think it will become heavy on Louis? And I will have to be indebted to him for a long time?" I returned the box of wipes to her.
"But he isn't complaining, do you like the way you were treated too? On the wedding day, I saw everything too, why not reconsider, huh? I don't want him to hurt you," concern sparked in Luna's eyes.
I really do understand her but I didn't want to be indebted to anyone especially Louis, he is my friend and I should keep it that way, I will bear whatever cross that comes my way, "How about we never speak about my marriage life? Who knows he might change."
"Change? Are you serious? Didn't you see the way he talked about his late wife? And what makes you think the devil can change?" Luna's face changed from concern to anger and disbelief.
I touched her nose with a smile on my face, "Don't worry, if it's too much to bear, I will definitely ask for your help," Luna nodded her head in agreement.
"What's up with you two?" Arabella asked, we both turned to see both Louis and Arabella.
"What are you both doing outside?" Luna got up from the ground.
"We are leaving, it's already late," Arabella answered.
"Gianni, how about you come with us?" Louis asked.
"No, I'm okay, I should go home to everyone," I smiled and declined.
"That's true, come stay the night, we could have pork, beef, beer, or juice and just talk the night away," Luna wiggled her eyebrows.
"It's tempting," I closed my eyes tightly and smiled, "Sure I can't miss out on this offer."
I followed them to the house. We all stayed at Louis's place. It was fun and a wonderful night. We had different types of food and drinks and we played all types of games. I was happy they wanted to make today feel special for me and they didn't bring up anything about Damian.
********
I arrived at the house very early in the morning, I left when everyone was asleep. Louis woke me up because we had an important class.
The house was quiet when I got back, I met Landon sitting on the couch in the living room while the kids were seated in the dining room having breakfast with Lisa.
"You have me this morning, right? You do know anyone I get to class before gets punished," Lisa's voice echoed in the living room.
"Yes I do and I will definitely get to class before you," I smiled and waved my hands at Landon before running up the stairs.
"Where are you coming from dressed like this?" Damian asked when I entered the room, I looked at myself and I was wearing a short PJ Nika and top.
"I don't care where you are coming from but make sure whatever you are doing doesn't get out and ruin my reputation or whoever you are seeing keeps his mouth shut," Damian said before I could give him a reply.
I didn't have the strength to talk too much, I didn't want to be late, "Okay," I opened my box and began bringing out what I would wear to school.
"Your friend, she is such a bold one," Damian had amusement flowing in his voice.
"I'm sorry, she didn't mean to," I apologized on Luna's behalf.
"No, I mean I like it and I want her to keep the boldness, it will be needed soon," Damian smirked and left the room. I did my things and ran to school and lucky I got there before Professor Lisa, it felt like she delayed on purpose.
After school something felt off, I was supposed to meet up with Luna but she was nowhere to be seen, I tried calling her but it kept going to voicemail.
Both Louis and Arabella didn't know her whereabouts, they were sure she left the house for school, that made me more scared because she never got to school.
Just as I was about to give up hope and leave, my phone rang, it was a video call from Luna, I picked it up but couldn't hear or see anything, I tried calling back several times but it wasn't going.
Now I was scared, Luna isn't like this, just then a message came into my phone from Luna's number.
"Save me."
