Gianni's POV
I changed the channel continuously searching for any news of the unconscious man but there was nothing, Louis didn't want to get involved because of his father.
"Still searching?" Luna opened a can of beer and handed it to me.
I took it from her hands and drank it, "That hit the right spot," I finished it in a goal.
"No news," Luna drank out from her can of beer.
"Nothing and Louis doesn't want to get involved except for treating him, it's been two weeks and he hasn't opened his eyes," I took a deep breath.
"How come no one is looking for him?" Luna raised her eyebrows.
"They are, maybe we haven't just seen," Arabella said when she entered the living room, she took the TV remote and began checking each channel.
"Stop! Go back," I yelled the moment my eyes caught something and Arabella obeyed without complaining.
It was Landon on a TV show explaining his boss went missing and they are yet to find him. My eyes moved toward the upper part and I realized Damian was his boss.
"I guess we found him," a smile appeared on Luna's face as she gulped down her can of beer at once
I brought out my phone and dialed Landon's number after the second ring he picked and I put the phone on speaker.
"Hey G," Landon greeted, both Luna and Arabella stared at me with their mouths slightly opened.
"Hmmm…Landon, I think I might have who you are looking for in my house," I bit my lips.
"Damian?" Landon's voice became serious.
"I think it's exactly the same picture you put on the TV show," I explained.
"Thank goodness, hope he is okay? Send me your address. I'll come to get him," Landon released a breath of relief.
"Okay," I ended the call and sent him the address. I looked up from my phone to see the two of them looking at me.
"What?" I mouthed.
"Start spilling, Landon? How?" Curiosity sparked within Luna's eyes.
"He is friends with Professor Lisa's son, I met him the day I went to babysit," I explained, "let's go get his things ready and wait in Louis' unit."
In less than 10 minutes cars with bodyguards came straight to Louis' unit. At the first knock, I opened the door to see Landon with handsome body-armed men.
"Hey G, where is he?" Landon asked and I told him to follow me to the room where he had been since that day.
"He hasn't woken up since but he is stable," I explained everything to him and he signaled for the boys to carry Damian out.
"Thank you, I will be sure to pay you back," Landon hugged me and I saw him off to the door.
"Thank goodness!" Arabella sat on the chair.
"Don't ever do that again, don't even bring an injured rabbit to the house," Luna hugged me.
I was about to reply when two messages entered my phone and it was a reminder from the hospital to pay up this month's fees and Arabella's ballerina lesson.
"What next? Have you decided?" Luna asked when her eyes caught a glimpse of the message.
"I will visit the hospital tomorrow and decide," I whispered into Luna's ears so Arabella wouldn't hear and she nodded her head.
***********
I arrived at the hospital to pay half the deposit when I bumped into Professor Lisa at the reception desk and she offered to pay the remaining deposit for the month. I was very grateful but now I need to start working towards next month's payment.
"Hope Francis and Selena are okay?" I asked as we walked in the hallway surprised to see her in the hospital.
"They are fine, the thing is my son was in some accident and someone helped him. Now we brought him to the hospital to receive better treatment," We sat on a bench in the hallway.
"He will be okay," I reassured her with a warm smile.
"Who is he and how long has he been here?" I felt uncomfortable answering but I had to at least as a thank you.
"He is my brother and he has been in that state for 12 years now," I lowered my gaze trying to fight the tear from falling.
"It's okay, how do you take care of the bills?" I raised my head to answer Professor Lisa's question.
"I work a different part-time job to cover all my bills and I have a student loan under both I and my sister's name, I also took out a loan under his name," a bitter laugh escaped my lips.
"Are you married? Or Do you have a fiancé?" Professor Lisa's question made me squirt my eyes, I wondered why she would be asking such a question.
"No, I do not," I answered.
Professor Lisa took my hands in hers, "My son is a widower and you are very fond of Francis and Selena, I promise I will take care of everything, I mean every single thing."
"I do not understand what you are trying to say," my brain didn't understand what she was trying to say.
"I want you to marry my son and be the mother of Francis and Selena," I redrew my hands from professor Lisa's hands.
"What?" I stared at her with wide eyes as my mouth slightly parted.
"It will just be a contract marriage and you can make your own rules," I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"I refuse to marry a man who I do not love and I'm already in love with someone else," I stood up from the chair.
"Love, it doesn't matter in some relationships, your heart can belong to someone else while you can be married to another. Just one decision can make a big difference, please think about it," Professor Lisa pleaded and I stared in shock.
"There is nothing to think about, I'm sorry," I walked away with tears in my eyes.
"If you ever change your mind, I'm one call away," I heard professor Lisa say from behind.
