Gianni's POV
I returned Damian's sleeve to his closet after dry cleaning it. Damian and I both agreed not to stay in the same room till the marriage comes to an end, we agreed to be married in name and paper only and enjoy the benefits of the marriage while it lasts.
I heard a knock on the door gently, "We leave in 10 minutes," Damian said softly.
"Sure!" I yelled from the bathroom, I didn't know who were going to see and I was told not to question his movement.
I wasn't allowed to wear any of my old clothes because they didn't look like what a boss' wife would wear, my wardrobe was replaced with more elegant clothes.
I put on a light pink gown and heels which was the simplest dress I could find which was also extra in my dictionary.
"I'm ready," I announced as I got downstairs, without saying anything or glancing at me, Damian stood up and went straight to the car, of course, I followed behind.
"I didn't ask anything about the people we were going to meet?" I finally summoned the courage to ask despite the strong aura.
"My aunt's son is hospitalized so we are going to see him just to pay our respects," Damian got in the back seat so did I and the driver began to drive.
The ride was silent and uncomfortably annoying. I didn't want to be in the same space as he was but I had no choice since he was my so-called husband.
"Can I ask a favor?" I knew he had power, I wanted to use his power to find out who were the people who did that to my family 12 years ago.
"There is no need to ask me for a favor, just ask Mother instead," Damian seemed irritated, I just nodded my head and kept quiet for the remaining ride.
We arrived at the hospital shortly and it was Louis Family Hospital, what a coincidence that his aunt's child was admitted here too. Didn't Louis say he knew Damian back then or maybe it was my imagination?
I didn't say anything but followed quietly but I was more shocked when we entered the VIP ward Louis was in.
Damian didn't knock, he opened the door and everyone turned to look at the disrespectful person who had opened the door.
I looked at Damian as I realized the Aunt's son was Louis, but Louis didn't want to get involved with him.
"What is he doing here?" Louis' father spat and he smiled when his eyes landed on me.
"Gianni!" Louis called out excitedly.
I walked past Damian with a smile on my face and entered the room, I bowed and greeted everyone politely.
"What's the occasion?" Louis' mom asked politely.
"It's nothing, ma'am," I flashed her a sweet and lovely smile.
"My daughter-in-law came to greet us today," Louis' father chuckled as he placed his hands on his tummy.
I didn't want to disappoint him by telling him I was already married, so I smiled and used my left finger to push my hair back but he still didn't get it.
"I see you already met my daughter in law," professor Lisa said as she stepped her feet into the ward, "aren't you coming in?" She asked her son who had been standing at the door.
"Damian, how are you? Is Gianni the wife?" Louis' mother asked Damian and he responded with a head nod.
"Still snatching everything away from this family," Louis Dad scoffed.
"Dad, it's enough," Louis said in a low tune.
"I guess you all already met my wife," Damian said arrogantly as a taunting smile played on his lips.
"You got married to him? I shouldn't have performed the surgery, we should have let him die then we wouldn't have seen this day," Louis grumbled under his breath and I pinched him when I noticed everyone looking at him.
"What surgery?" Professor Lisa asked.
"School, he is just talking about school," I smiled and lied and surprisingly everyone bought it.
I sat on the bed next to Louis as I fed him the fruit I bought for Damian's aunt's son.
"I think it's time we both take our leave as we have important appointments to attend to," Damian said, surprising me, for a fact I didn't have plans with Damian for the rest of the day.
"And I would also like to invite everyone here to the dinner party of both my wife and I taking place tomorrow, everything will be communicated to you all," my eyes widened in surprise, I didn't know I had a wedding dinner tomorrow.
"Tomorrow?" Louis looked at me and I lowered my gaze.
"Yes tomorrow and I would appreciate it if you all could come since we are family," Damian smirked.
I glanced at Damian, I didn't know what he was planning or why but I wasn't having a good feeling about it.
"Shall we? We have a lot to do," Damian reached out his hands, I hesitated but placed my hand in his.
"I will be expecting you all," I gave a warm smile and walked out of the room with Damian.
When we got out of the room, Damian dropped my hand in speed, brought out his towel and wiped his hand.
I stared at him in confusion, you held my hands, I didn't, I felt like knocking some sense inside his head but I couldn't.
"You have less than 24 hours to get ready for the dinner, I will send my personal assistant to help you with it," Damian threw the towel he used in wiping his hands into the bin.
"Okay but why did you suddenly decide to have a dinner party for our wedding?" My curiosity got the better of me.
Damian bent his head, so our heads will be on the same level, "don't get it wrong, it isn't for our wedding, it's for my business and because it's going to be very fun."
I was a bit hurt by his words, wasn't I worth having a dinner wedding party for? I decided to brush it off with a smile, "okay."
The smile slowly faded away when I realized he said the dinner party would be fun, what was he planning.
