The Amazonian War Part 3

"Lift their heads, I suppose if they'll be working for us they have to know who I am and to not disobey me" The Queen spoke as the guards raised our heads, making us kneel in her presence as we remained silent. "I am The Amazonian Queen, you three will be mine to use and throw around as I please. Around these parts man like you are nothing but servants to us, it is only situational that you are being trusted to win this war. That does not mean I have to explain anything to filthy animals like you." We did not make a sound, I do not know just what plan Scarlet had in mind but throwing us at the wolves like this seemed like a bad idea from the start. "Lift them up, let's take them to the gates. Hector will take care of them afterwards. They are dogs of war, eventually we will see if they are even worth remembering." At her words the guards lifted us up and followed her as she walked off into the hallway. The sound of her heels hitting against the ground echoing as the guards kept close to her, dragging us like unwanted luggage. "This is the castle, the most beautiful place you'll set your foot in. You will defend this place with your life, however intruders should not even get close to the gates. If that is to come, then you failed your mission completely." She said as I took a look around, their architecture was beautiful I will admit but it was rather common for people such as theirs. Golden statues depicting battles of the past, small commemorative writing in their own language and so on. I turned over to see how the other two were, both were thankfully still and cooperative. "It is a long way down however, but if you die to such meager fall then you are nowhere near the strong warriors we need to win this war" "Fall?" I thought to myself as a large gate was opened, the view from the castle showing the entirety of the battlefield ahead. Fires ragging across the land, loud roars of canons being heard and the spirit of battle making its way all over. My view of the battlefield was abruptly ended as I felt the guards suddenly throw us forward without a care in the world. I looked back up to see the guards smile as the wind wrapped around us as we fell. "Holy s**t they actually threw us! f**k, Lucifer please tell me you have a gadget in that robotic arm of yours to save us" Gabriel yelled as I looked back down to see our situation. The fall was large, giving us time to think of something to do before we turn into a splat of red liquids in the ground. "Ahhhh, I have a very stupid idea that just might work but we gotta hurry. Come towards me and hold on as hard as you can" I quickly responded, Gabriel grabbed Grim and moved closer to me then clinged to me as hard as they could. The idea on it's own was insane but with no other options to choose from I inched closer to the giant upward hill that the Amazonian castle stood on and punched my robotic arm into it with all my might. Pieces of rock and dirt hit my eyes as well as the other two. I looked back and saw them, and I saw Grim. I saw a boy i would not allow to die here, even if it took my life. I buried my arm further in, hurting my bicep and tricep but as I yelled in pain the fall slowed more and more until we were but a few inches away from the ground. I took deep breaths as I gently let go of both of them, I detached the broken arm and landed on the ground a bit hard "Grim... are you alright? f**k that was a nice welcome" I said out loud as Gabriel dusted himself off, Grim walked over to me with worried eyes as he looked at my bleeding stump and began to sniff as he bowed in front of me. "Hey kid it's fine I promise. I lost my arm years before we even met, and those are just some slight scratches. Lift your head up please, you did nothing wrong" I said back to him as he lifted his arm and wiped his tears away gently. He looked up at the place where my arm remained and pulled it out, holding it close to his chest. "Do you wanna see if someone can help us fix it?" I realized that if he spoke the device on his face activates, and hurts him meaning that asking simple yes or no questions is the best way to communicate with him. He gently nodded his head "Very well then. Gabriel. Mind giving me a sweep of the area, check for anything that doesn't want us dead" "Give me a second. Gotta set up my dials first." He responded as the display of numbers came alive, the little boy became quickly intrigued and sneaked around behind him. Watching like a child would to something they have never seen before "Hey there kiddo, wanna mess with them?" Gabriel asked softly as I looked around the place, I pulled out the small bit of documents I photographed and used my barely living phone to project the information. "It says here that Amazonians don't fight their wars. Man usually do. Only times an Amazonian will engage someone in combat is in dire situations or a pre rearranged duel. Looks like we don't have to worry about them showing up around these parts. You got anything on your radar?" I asked as I kept my guard up in case anything tried to hit us while we were not looking. "I got a little settlement towards the northwest from here, lot of energy coming from there. Let's hope that they are with the Queen and not the other people." Gabriel said as Grim gently touched one of the dials, moving the numbers up and down as he held my arm with his free hand. It was an odd sight to behold, but it made me feel oddly warm inside as I walked back to them. I very carefully and gently pet his head and tried to give a friendly smile. He flinched at first but then leaned towards my touch and soon after he was leaning on me. "Looks like he likes you, alright come on we don't have all day. We have a war to win and some money to earn" Gabriel said to which I responded with a little nod, Grim seemed so calm and radiated this innocence that I suddenly wished to protect. It was like petting a puppy and forgetting about your stress for a secound.
