Victor's POV
I grabbed my jacket and car keys and immediately left my apartment.
Every f*****g second felt too slow.
By the time I got into my car, my wolf was already clawing violently inside me.
Find her.
I gritted my teeth and sped out of the parking lot.
The city lights blurred past as I drove through Dortmith like a madman. My mind kept replaying the same things over and over again.
Arielle laughing softly while drinking champagne.
Arielle’s eyes on me while touching her p***y.
Arielle moaning my name breathlessly against my mouth.
My grip tightened dangerously around the steering wheel.
The thought of someone touching her right now made something dark move inside me.
I hated it.
But I couldn't stop it.
Rain had started pouring lightly by the time I pulled over outside a gas station. I grabbed my phone immediately and searched for more information online.
But there was nothing useful, just endless news reports.
Heiress Missing.
Daughter of Hunt Group CEO Kidnapped.
Police Investigation Ongoing.
No location, no suspects, nothing.
“Fuck.”
I leaned back heavily against the seat.
The moment I found out who she was, I should've disappeared completely.
Instead I stayed, and couldn't stop thinking about her even after she left.
And now this.
The wolf paced violently inside me again.
Find her.
I rubbed my jaw frustrated.
“How?” I muttered harshly.
Then suddenly, a memory flashed through my head.
Arielle's scent.
Soft vanilla, rain and something floral beneath it. My eyes slowly narrowed.
My wolf wasn't restless without reason. It could still feel her.
I started the engine immediately. The rain grew heavier as I drove through the city again, slower this time.
I rolled the window down slightly despite the cold air hitting my face.
People crowded the sidewalks. Cars flooded the streets. Thousands of scents mixed together around me.
But underneath all of it…
There.
Vanilla.
Faint, Almost impossible to catch but it was there.
I turned sharply down another street. The scent disappeared.
“Shit.”
My wolf growled impatiently inside me.
Then it came back again near an intersection leading toward the industrial district.
I followed it without hesitation.
The buildings slowly changed as I drove farther away from downtown. Bright lights disappeared, replaced by abandoned factories, empty loading docks and dark warehouses.
Rain hammered against the windshield.
The scent got stronger.
My heartbeat started pounding harder.
She was here.
I parked near an abandoned mechanic shop and stepped out into the rain.
The second my boots hit the ground, my wolf surged violently.
Closer. I shut the car door quietly and moved through the alleyways silently, following the scent deeper into the industrial area.
Most of the buildings were empty, but one warehouse near the end of the block had lights inside.
A black SUV was parked outside.
Two armed men stood near the entrance smoking.
I stayed hidden behind the corner and watched carefully.
One of them suddenly laughed.
“Boss said the girl's worth billions.” The other whistled lowly.
“Wouldn't mind having some fun before payday.”
Something inside me snapped violently and my wolf roared out in anger.
My vision sharpened instantly as I felt it taking over.
Every sound became clearer. Every heartbeat louder.
Mine.
Theirs.
And another heartbeat inside the warehouse. Fast and uneven
Arielle.
She was alive. Relief hit me so hard it almost hurt. Then rage followed immediately after.
The men outside suddenly stiffened. One frowned and looked around nervously.
“You hear that?”
Too late.
I moved before they could react.
The first man barely had time to turn before I slammed him hard against the wall. Bone cracked loudly beneath my grip.
The second reached for his gun. I grabbed his wrist and twisted violently.
He screamed. I punched him once and his body dropped instantly into the rain.
My breathing came out rough now. The wolf was dangerously close to taking over completely.
Inside the warehouse, voices suddenly erupted loudly.
“Someone's outside!”
“Check it!”
I walked toward the entrance slowly.
The rain soaked through my black shirt while blood dripped from my knuckles.
All I could think about was Arielle terrified somewhere inside.
All I could think about was killing every person who touched her. At that thought my wolf completely took over.
Arielle’s POV
Hours had passed. At least I thought it had.
There were no windows close enough for me to tell if it was still night outside.
The warehouse only grew colder and quieter as time passed.
My wrists were sore from struggling earlier. One of the men sat nearby smoking while another scrolled through his phone carelessly.
It was as if they were waiting for something.
But what?
I stayed quiet.
Fear was still there, sitting heavily inside my chest, but I refused to let them see me panic.
I kept thinking about my father.
He was probably tearing the city apart already trying to find me.
And strangely…
I kept thinking about Victor too. I hated that.
I hated how my mind kept drifting back to him when I should've been thinking about survival.
The warehouse door suddenly opened loudly.
Every guard straightened instantly.
A tall man walked in calmly wearing an expensive black suit.
I recognized him immediately from one of my father's business parties years ago.
Simeon Kane.
“Well,” he began smoothly while adjusting his cuffs. “The Hunt princess herself.”
I stared at him coldly.
His lips curved slightly.
“Now don't look at me like that, your father is the problem.” He walked slowly around me. “He should've minded his business instead of trying to ruin mine.”
I clenched my fists tightly behind the chair.
“My father will destroy you if you hurt me.”
His expression darkened immediately.
“Not before I destroy him first.”
He turned around and gave some signal to his men then crouched slightly in front of me.
“You know what's funny?” he said quietly. “Your father acts like such a righteous man. But powerful men are all the same underneath.”
I frowned.
“What are you talking about?”
But he only smiled and stood back up.
“None of this would've happened if he stayed quiet.”
He turned and walked out of the warehouse after that.
The air somehow felt even heavier once he left.
The man who called me beautiful earlier suddenly walked closer.
My stomach tightened immediately.
His eyes slowly moved over my body in a way that made my skin crawl.
“Pretty thing,” he muttered.
I immediately looked away in disgust.
“Don't touch me.”
He chuckled lowly.
“Got a mouth on you too huh.”
Then suddenly he grabbed my chin roughly and forced my face back toward him.
Anger exploded through me instantly. I reacted before thinking.
My knee slammed hard into him.
He cursed loudly and doubled over.
I used the moment immediately.
I jumped up with the chair still tied behind me and tried running toward the exit.
“Catch her!”
Heavy footsteps thundered behind me instantly.
I almost reached the door before someone grabbed me violently from behind and threw me hard onto the floor.
Pain shot through my right shoulder.
The first man stormed over furiously and slapped me hard across the face.
My head snapped sideways and pain exploded through my cheek.
“b***h,” he spat.
My breathing shook as I slowly looked back at him.
Then chaos suddenly erupted outside.
A loud crash echoed near the entrance.
One of the men frowned sharply.
“What was that?”
Another man grabbed his gun nervously.
Then suddenly a loud growl echoed outside the warehouse.
Deep, animalistic and terrifying.
Everyone froze instantly.
The men exchanged nervous and confused looks.
One whispered shakily, “What the fuck..”
Another crash sounded outside, followed by a scream that cut off abruptly.
My heart slammed violently against my ribs.
I turned sharply toward the entrance and hoped whatever animal was out there had come to save me and not do more damage.
