Do Not Take It For Granted

Rosa Pov "Mama!" I cried out. "What's wrong mi Bonita Rosa," she said so lovingly. "I missed you," "Oh my baby, I will always be here," I giggled and snuggled into her embrace. "Always." I shot up from my bed. I was sweating and panting. I hated it when I dreamt of her and my past. I never liked to remember what happened and I wish I could forget it but it is what shaped me and turned me into the woman I am today. Ric Pov "Are we making any progress?" "Somewhat?" "What does that mean Luca," My men suddenly dragged a man into my office. "He might have some answers for you but he will need to be persuaded." "Let's get to it then," I took off my jacket and placed it on the chair. I grinned at the man who looked at me with panicked and pleading eyes. My men dragged him to the basement and chained him up to the wall. "Now, what can you tell me about Ace?" I questioned. "Who?" the man mumbled. "Don't play games, this is quite serious," I said. I grabbed a small knife and dug it into his shoulder. "Tell me everything you know about Ace?" "I don't know anything," he said again. "Do you not know who I am or what I am going to do to you," "Do what you must but I won't say a thing," he looked at me with all the strength he could muster. I ordered my men to punch him repeatedly in the gut. "It's best you talk, you're going to die anyway," I said. "There are fates worse than death," he replied. I smacked him in the face and then stabbed him again on the other shoulder. We tortured him for several hours but he didn't break. Why were so many people afraid of her? "WE ARE THE MOST POWERFUL AND LARGEST MAFIA IN THE WORLD!!" I shouted to my men. "WHY CAN'T ANYONE GET ME ANSWERS." I dismissed my men and left our prisoner for dead. "Ric," "Not now Luca," he left me to drown my worries in liquor. How can I solve anything if I don't even know what I am up against? Rosa Pov "You got the surveillance footage?" I asked Jax. He nodded and played it for me. "Well look at that," Jax said. I looked at Riccardo and Jeremy as they shared a few words and then the video went blank. Between then and now, someone killed him. -ping- Client: UNKNOWN Mark: Gio Moretti -ping- Client: UNKNOWN Mark: Luca De Santos -ping- Client: UNKNOWN Mark: Riccardo Moretti "Well, someone got desperate," I said. I looked at one after another client request roll in. Someone was making their final play against the Moretti family. Even after we sent out word to ensure no one harms or accepts the request of this unknown client. "We are running out of time," Michael said. "Sooner or later they will interfere." "I know but I am kind of hoping they show their faces," I said. "Let's go have a word with my friend. I think it's time he knows who he is messing with." Five hours later They chose the place. A nice family restaurant. I was to show up alone. I told Ric about all the hits I received and told him to warn his father. His father of course wanted to meet me. He was curious and I can't blame him. "So, young lady, tell me why we should trust you," Gio said. He was at the head of the table even though Ric was in charge now. I looked over at Ric and then answered. "I could kill you all right now but I don't want to ruin my dress," I grinned. Gio laughed but his eyes were still intense and unimpressed. "So do you have any clue who wants us dead," Paolo said. "And you are?" "He was my cousin's son," I looked at him and wondered why there was no info of him. Something told me that was on purpose. "We have an alliance," Ric was interrupted by his father. "We can not trust her, she is not family and she was sought out to kill us," "That's only because I am the best," I quickly replied. "I helped put the word out so no one accepts the offer." Paolo huffed. "Problem?" I said. "You assume you have such authority," I slowly smiled at him. -PING- -PING- -PING- -PING- Suddenly, every phone belonging to the Moretti family went off. "She," "s**t!" Ric cursed. "f**k!" SHE KILLED BENITO," Gio shouted. "You killed my father," Paolo said. There was no emotion behind his words but I wasn't surprised. "Father, wait," "Kill her!" Gio ordered. His men began to crowd around me. I stayed composed and calm. "Why aren't you worried?" Paolo asked. "Should I be," I said. "You will pay for what you did," "Probably but not today," I said. "b***h!"  Paolo cursed. "WHY?" Gio said. "You are being played but I do love a good fight," "Your outnumbered," Paolo said. Ric looked at me and that's when he knew I had something up my sleeve. "Is this all the men you have?" "This is all it takes to kill you," Gio answered. I looked over at Ric. "No hard feelings," he didn't say anything. The men all pulled out their guns and pointed them at me. I slowly smiled at the group. "WHAT THE HELL!" Gio shouted. All of a sudden, the waiters, cooks, and the entire staff of the restaurant took out guns and pointed them at the Moretti family and their men. "This game you are trying to play will never result in a win for you," I said. "Someone is out to kill you and I did help them get the ball rolling but now I fold. I won't be a pawn in this, so come after me when you have eliminated your threat. That is if you end up winning." "Rosa!" I had turned around and was ready to head out but he called me. He called me by my real name. That was beyond disrespectful and in this setting, I couldn't let that pass. That son of a b***h, he just had to do it. I turned around and grabbed my gun out of my strap. I shot at him twice. Once in the leg, and then in his arm. "Do not forget who I am. I am ACE!" I said harshly. "I have given your family a chance to live a day longer. DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED!" I walked over to Ric who was now lying on the floor staring at me. "Don't ever call me by that name again."
